    That tall structure you were asking your guide about is the Millenium Tower which has a restaurant at the summit. It is conceptualised and designed to be the City observatory for tourists.

    Thats the Abuja Millennium tower @10:18 it is meant to be the tallest building in Abuja, if only it can be completed. Work began in 2006 but was abandoned. Current minister Nyesom Wike has renegotiated the contract and is determined to complete it in 2-3yrs time. The structures will be linked via an underground arcade. When completed, the tower will have a revolving restaurant, a cultural centre with four Museums and exhibition halls. Other proposed features include a sports centre with an indoor pool, a 5-star hotel with 55 luxury rooms and nine suites, offices, and a 1,200-capacity auditorium. Well done Ken, you're doing well💚🤍

    I think the wish should not be for every Nigerian to visit Abuja but for every nigerian city to look like Abuja in infrastructural development and beautification.The only thing l would say in defense of Abuja and Nigeria,Nigeria is building Abuja,Lagos and more than 40 other cities with 39 airports at the same time.Not many countries in Africa is capable of doing that,not even the north African countries.l only hope Nigerian leaders take infrastructures and beautification serious like Abuja and east African cities.Thank you.

    What's the problem with these Ghanaian villagers? Will you folks stop comparing your village square (Accra) to a planned and modern city like Abuja. Those of you rushing to the comments section to make this shameful comparison between Accra and Abuja,are actually suffering from low self esteem.

    One thing about Nigerians, we are so used to medocrity so when we see little development we shout. Let me remind you people that South Africa and Arab countries in the North of Africa are all in Africa continet. So we should be ashame that we glorify little developments we see in Nigeria.

    • @FreddyPateki
      @FreddyPateki 4 місяці тому +10

      Dey play, what is it about South Africa or North Africa? There's already a negative perception and propaganda about Nigeria, so it is in our own good and interest to project Every positive side, no matter how little cos there's much more negative ok. Example is your comment, already trying to talk down Abuja cos its Nigeria.

    Is this the capital city of the Giant of Africa or Kisumu?😂😂

    • @ugowilliams8437
      @ugowilliams8437 4 місяці тому +3

      Does Kenya's Kisumu have this kind of expansive 8 and 10-lane roads? Does Mombasa have the kind of natural greenery, hills and rocks that Abuja has? Every African City is unique in its own way as a mark of its beauty. The beauty of cities are not defined by high-rise buildings and skyscrapers. Abuja was never originally conceived to parade skyscrapers. Lagos will have those in abundance while in time to come Abuja's Centenary City, just like Lagos' Eko Atlantic City Project, will give Nigeria more than enough dose of high-rise buildings.
      You will hardly see any city in sub-Saharan African country that has the kind of expansive road network present in Abuja. It is incontrovertible because I have watched the videos of Nairobi, Abidjan, Kigali, Dar es Salaam, Addis Ababa, Dakar, Kampala, etc. Few of them may have more skyscrapers, but not certainly massive roads and greenery.
