Oh shit.... I've just been pulling the grills straight out. Had no idea you had to reach behind there and release a tab. Fortunately nothing broke yet!

They do, honestly. An uncomfortable amount of force, a bit beyond "firm, yet gentle" that you'd use for most trim pieces. Thanks for showing me the light before I snapped anything! Fortunately they have held up to my abuse 4 or 5 times.

Looks easy i changed my e36 ones to gloss black sometime ago but it was a pain in the ass just to get it off and the reinstall was even harder 😂😂

Or you could just unscrew the upper pieces and grill and spray/colour-code them?
Spray paint doesn't stick well to chrome. It will eventually flake off.

When I go to unscrew the top pieces the screw and housing turns. Any help ?

One of the screws on the part of the grill that's on the hood wouldn't come out. It just kept spinning, but wouldn't screw out. Any suggestions?

I have a 2011 e90 328i xdrive sedan. I never noticed that the later model years of the e90 have a different grill and hood.

Hey idk if you're going to see this but I need help. I put it in but its not loose, but if I pull on the side I can take the new grill out. Also for the top like the top part of the grill that is on the hood, I lost one of the screws, where can I buy one because I don't know which on I need.
Anyone know what to do when 3 of the screws are turning but isn’t coming out?
When you ordered yours did you end up also getting a little package with a keychain in it as well? Bc I ordered the same one and got a little keychain but not the trim.? I’m just confused if they screwed me or what happened
Hey @Justin Buice, I need some new bolts to replace my grill, 07 e90, one on the lower part for my grill is stripped as well as one on the top with the smaller bolts. Any idea where I can find some replacements ?

You said be sure to get the right fitting grill but i have a 2006 325i and on the amazon post in the link you posted is said its for a 2005. kind of at a stand still now:/ Good vid to say the least though!
+Definitely Trending the amazon link is the exact one you see in the video. I copied and pasted the URL from my order history. If im not mistaken, 2006 was one of the only years that they did the two piece with the upper sections on the hood

go to ebay, take the one for your car and buy it :D - sriously, there are only 2 versions for the e90 pre facelift with the 2 separate pieces above and "lci" without the 2 pieces on the hood.
I couldn't undo any of the tabs/clips. Pulled up and pushed down as hard as I could nothing moved, any advice ??
+Adam the tabs are tricky. It took me a while to get them off. You could try a flathead screwdriver, just be careful not to break them
just try again with gloves on ...

Yes, you dont want to risk getting plastidip in the filter behind it and clogging it up.

+arwolverine it uses two different size torx screwdrivers. I dont remember the sizes but you can pick them up at any auto part store
My car doesn't have the angel eyes. How do I get them?
+parsa aalamrezaiyeh you have to upgrade the whole housing which has the rings built into it. Im not sure how to wire them though

They are two different screws. The bottom grill takes a T30 bit and the top takes a smaller one that i don't have. Can someone give the size for the top piece? Thanks.
