All these little tricks are cool. I'm still super new to digital art so it's taking me a while to learn what all the little functions do. Multiply, alpha lock, mask, all that stuff. I watch people do it then I start drawing and forget everything.

This is an older video, but I'd like to know how you got the sketch on the iPad to begin with. I already knew how to place an image in Procreate! I assume you used the iPad's camera, since you talked of not using a scanner, but some tips on taking a clean (non-shaky) photo of the sketch would be useful.

Hey just wanted to say that you can merge layers by clicking on a selected layer and hitting merge down.

Austin, I'd like to send you some of my work. In the last three weeks I've learned more from your procreate tutorials than I have in years of messing around with the app myself.

I have played around with curves to adjust overall look and feel, but didn't know how easy it was to use curves to clean up imported line art. Thanks!

This is what I have been trying to master for the longest.

You can just click on the top layer and click “merge”

Can this be achieved from the Pocket version for iPhone?

Do you really need to do this tho, you can just ink over it in the first place it’s not like the sketch is gonna be there forever

This is exactly what I’m looking for! I didn’t want to get a scanner or use photoshop just to do all these so thanks for sharing! Planning to get an ipad soon for digital art so this will come in handy. Subscribed! 🙂

Thank you so much for this. I've been searching for information on how to digitize little sketches exclusively in Procreate (because I'm cheap and don't want to spend money on Adobe for a hobby). This is exactly what I needed! Fantastic instructions, thank you!
