"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33 i have dpdr since about 8 years i think cause of childhood trauma, i'm with you bro
Nice to hear it's working for you. I've been on it 5 weeks now and its definitely working. I got anxiety and panic attacks due to a health scare and ktjer factors which led into severe insomnia l, wasnt sleeping for 2-3 days at a time. That led to deep depression as you can imagine and i was prescribed these 5 weeks ago and they're starting to work their magic now. Only downside is i feel extremely drowsy when i wake up for about 2 hours and it wears off and ibe put on a fair amount of weight due to getting my appetite back but more haha. Only plan to stay on them for a couple months hopefully until im at a nice stable point and then slowly wein off them. They also prescribed me Promethazine to take alongside Mirtazapine as a way to help the anxiety and induce sleep so maybe thats something that might help you, just a thought.
@@SyedaHadiaAli thank you! I have IBS-C and it hasn’t worsened it. Personally, if anything it’s helped the constipation since I’m eating better. But I do still struggle with it tbh.
Thanks Rhys for your update, sounds like things are going good for ya atm and you’re pretty settled on your mirtazapine dose. Have any of your health care providers broached the subject of possibly adding another med on top of the mirt to help with the depression? I know you rejected this previously on the grounds that it would be too destabilizing. Cheers from USA❤❤❤❤😊
I don’t see any mental health people anymore tbh. When I did use to discuss it with them we’d always come to the conclusion that more meds probably isn’t the answer for me. Mainly due to the fact that I’m autistic, the isolation and challenges that naturally come with that + some physical health issues, circumstantially most likely contribute to my depression and I don’t think further meds will be enough to overpower that and I still worry if I do try them it might backfire by impacting my appetite or increasing my anxiety etc. It’s good to see you. Hope you’re doing as okay as possible :)
Wow, congrats Rhys, you look absolutely awesome and it's great seeing color and life in your face. I'm on 15 mg of Mirtazapine as well as 150 mg Venlafaxine xr and have gained about ten pounds which was desperately needed. It's nice to sleep well again, having energy to exercise, and building a seat to sit on, if you know what I mean lol. Keep it up, I shall too! Many thanks for sharing dude! - from Colorado, USA.
Thank you so much! I’m so glad to hear the meds are helping and I’m sure you also put in a lot of hard work alongside them so well done. Hoping that things continue to snowball into even better times 💙
Thanks for the update. I also used Mirtazapine in the past and it was pretty effective, but I had to quit because I experienced very extreme nightmares lol (it's a common side effect of this drug). Btw, I read that the withdrawal symptoms are very intense (similar to heroin), luckily I didn't have to experience that, because I was only on it for 2 months. Anyway, I'm glad that it helps you.
@@Koltkaze I’m sorry Mirtazapine didn’t work out for you. I remember for the first few months I got crazy dreams, some mornings I’d wake up randomly crying with a soaking pillow and no idea why it was happening because I wasn’t sad or scared with Mirt being the only explanation. Never happened since thankfully aha.

I’m glad it’s also helping you, sounds like you’ve had a very rough time! I hope everything works out for you, all the best with it all 💙
Glad to hear you are doing fine. Getting on to Mirta tomorrow :-) what time of the day you taking it btw? I was prescribed before bed time
Good luck with it, I hope it helps you :) I take it before bed too, usually around 1-2 hours before I want to sleep.
So happy to see you looking good and feeling better! Congratulations!
Thank you 💙💙💙
