Spillway fishing is always a blast because you never know what is lurking in those waters. The spinnerbait was putting in the work. It does look a bit challenging but worth it.
I remember this lady scooching her rear end over the high ledge of a spillway trying to get away from a snake coming at her. She ended up kicking her husband's fishing rod into the water.
Hey Bud, I definitely want to try that though it does look like a hike from the parking lot. But there is no way I could balance on that little ledge. I'd have to find a spot further down.
Cool video and nice action.
Thank you! I appreciate you saying so.

It's a high wall to get a good fish out of. That's the only reason I took my heavy pole. Gotta stay alert to not take a header into the water.
@@FiveRiverRodBenderFishing That would be a spoiler for sure.

It's all pretty treacherous around there. But you can get downstream a couple of spots. The fishing isn't as good down there in my opinion.
I noticed you were careful to pinch the gill plates down on the perch.
Yessir. They're in the walleye/Sauger family. Gotta watch out for those sharp little dudes.
I didn't think they allowed fishing there?
Fishing is allowed. Swimming is not.
