Dave, Brian Lush age 51 , long haul Trucker vanished from truck stop in /near Summerstown Ontario, hwy 401. Hwy 27 intersection, from petro -pass truck stop. CCTV shows him walking back to his rig, walks around the front of Rig and vanished. All belonging, phone keys, on seat of truck, police brought in canines, no luck,. St. Laurence seaway, straight south of truck stop, maybe 1 mile , OPP asking for dash cam, trail cam footage. Just happened last Wednesday, 4/24/2024
It really hit me when David at the end of the video mention just maybe Steven left his tent at night with his flashlight for what ever reason. Many years ago when I was winter backpacking during a dry cold winter up by Merced Lake in Yosemite, I had to get up in the middle of the night to relieve myself. Since there was a bright moon, I didn't take my flashlight and walked away from my tent about 25 yards. Suddenly a cloud moved in taking away the moonlight, and the next thing I knew is that I was totally twisted around on which way I came from my tent . It was cold out with just my long thermals on. Panic sets in immediately in which I knew I had to control. I could have easily taken off in the wrong direction leading further away from my tent which probably would have been a deadly mistake. I'd remained where I was and waited for that cloud to move away, and it did with the moonlight reappearing which allowed me to get my bearing to the way back to the tent. So yes, there's a really good possibility that Steven walked away from his tent, and for what ever reason lost his way back to his tent with Panic setting in which lead him far from his tent and backpack, and why they weren't found? P.S. Great investigation work David, not many would have put that together as far as the possibility Steven leaving his tent at night with his flashlight. If I was missing for what ever reason in the mountains, I would hope the rescue coordinator would fly you in on the search. I know these search parties are highly trained, but your law enforcement background really allows you to do critical thinking zeroing in on different possibilities. Good work!
Sounds feasible, i pee in bottles for this very reason. No chance I’m leaving my tent at night in the backcountry, my imaginations far too vivid. However, I can’t get over the fact that we’re glossing over the keys being left inside the ignition and the doors being unlocked… sounds more like something happened to him in that parking lot and somebody stole his gear and hacked up enough of his body parts to scatter around out there with his wallet, knowing they’d be traced if they tried using his cards. The fact the little bone remains and wallet were found less than 2 miles away without any gear but some ripped clothing tells me the culprit figured ehh this is far enough… just my .02
@@b_reelI've used pee bottles as well when there's stormy weather outside, like a blizzard. I know people who leave their doors unlocked simply because they don't want their windows smashed as far as a break in. He probably accidentally left his keys in the ignition being in a rush to hit the trail, I've done that myself.
I spend 99% of my time in the mountains alone. I have spend days at a time in the eerie Superstition Mountains (Az). In my life, I have never been to a spookier place than King's Canyon. I was going North of Yosemite, but wanted to check out Kings Canyon. It was about 11:30PM (night time). Booth was closed and gate was open. Nice. Giant trees. VERY heavy atmosphere and literally quiet as the grave. Heavy fog, but clear about a foot from the ground. Totally black (except for headlights). I had to stop every twenty or so feet because weird shadows reflecting off of trees and the fog looked like I was going to hit something in the road. Even with a double-barrel 12 gauge and an M1911A1 (.45), I wouldn't go for a walk outside the truck! HAHAHA 6'4" 250lb Army Ranger! HAHAHA

Japanese American here. My dad came out of California round the same time this guy did. You got me wondering if they knew eachother at any point, but my dad is gone too now. My wife, kids and I live just at the bottom of the sierras in Nevada now. Thanks for everything you do Dave!
Dave, my husband and I are planning on moving to Prescott AZ when we retire. There's granite everywhere and a mountain called Granite Mountain. I actually want to live close to it. One of your 411 cases took place there. I will be purchasing 2 personal locator beacons for sure. I find this all fascinating. Is it aliens (I should know) or portals or both? I am not Afraid, but will be careful. Promise. ❤
G'day Dave , a mate from SD sent me a message about a recent 411 in nearby Sac City Iowa. Truckie went missing Nov 2023 , found his body last week in the field near where his rig was found abandoned in November.
I wrote him about that case too. Then I found that he'd covered it on a recent episode that I'd missed. Very strange case, and so heart breaking for his wife and children.
Sorry to laugh, but the expression *"Coming up with doughnuts"* has me cracking up. "Jeez, we looked everywhere today, we couldn't find anything of him.....but we did find this lovely bag of strawberry doughnuts, certainly made it worthwhile."
Olight flashlights are my family's favorite lights. They are super durable, crazy bright and long lasting. Any size, any kind, battery or rechargeable, they are our go to, most reliable lights.
Dav, always enjoy your missing person cases. You always make me think just by ponting out what people need to do in the back country. It's all common sense stuff. Back in the day when I started backpacking most of these things the people I knew all thougtht they could get through anything. I used to drive my parents crazy by taking off for several days without letting them know where I as going or when I'd be back. One day in the early spring I was packing alone in the Oregon Cascades and was crossing a slope covered with snow. The snow was hard enough that I had to stomp into the snow to get places to walk. At about the middle of the snow field I got the strangest thought. It had never struck me before but it came to me that if this snow broke loose it would take me with it to the bottom of the slope and probably cover me up. No one knew where I was and it would be a long time for someone to find me. If they ever found anything it would be my gear. As for me the animals would have taken care of getting rid of my body. You give a lot of common sense information we all should follow. After this I took a wilderness survival class put on by the local SAR unit. After that I always left a topo map with my parents showing where I was going and when I would be back. It cost me nothing and my parents were relieved.
When carrying a flashlight where it's a must to complete your task at hand, 1 is none and 2 is one. I personally love the functionality of a rechargeable and see the necessity of having a flashlight that uses batteries and generally I have one of each.
Hey Dave you mention the kindness revolution. A walk the same trail daily I greet everyone. The younger people, not all seem to be zombies never look my way or speak. It’s like there in a trance.
A mile and a half is a long way, on foot. I get that it's relatively close, considering the overall distance and area searched but it's easy to lose your bearings in that distance. It's happened to me personally. That's why I can relate to being lost, that "close" to your vehicle. Especially when I thought I knew where I was going and completely missed my landmarks. The snow had changed the way everything looked to me, since the last time I was there was in late summer. I'm not saying it's not strange. The whole scenario IS baffling. Just that I got lost one time, about the same distance away from the truck, in some big woods with no civilization, no houses, no roads, nothing. I just got lucky and found some tracks and followed them to get to where a person Had to be. I got really lucky!
Though it doesn't produce a powerful light, the handcrank/solar flashlight doesn't require charging or replacement batteries. Where longevity is important, nothing can touch it. It's perfect for backpacking, and can be charged on a sunny day attached to the outside of one's pack. One minute of cranking will supply about 2 hours of light.
So sad for this family and other families of lost loved ones! I pray for these families cause I know loss and grief of too well too!;God Bless you all!

I know you can't please everyone... but I really miss the viewers letters and their experiences! You gave people a platform to speak out about their paranormal encounters. I am totally fascinated by all these stories - I feel that in Europe we have less of them - not to say there arn't any, but just not like in the US/CA (and I guess the whole of middle and south America too). I was only able to visit a crop circle once, and I've certainly never met anyone that has experienced or seen any orbs... I hope one day you can bring back the letters 🕊️
Dave I watched all the way through. I believe you! Where is this young man's camp? That stuff doesn't just disappear. There is something that happens when no one else is watching. It's swift, methodical, and I believe there is a purpose. Or? Maybe people stumble into another timeline. Thanks for all your work.
Well Dave, you have done it again. Bought us a case that is a real mystery. I will most likely worry this like a dog with a bone! Could this young man have camped further out, got turned around in the snow storm and had moved further away from his camp? I guess we will never know. I feel bad for the family.
💯 Dave that’s brilliant haha- flashlights… I was restocking my kits, SR, Hunting kits and Jeep (my 23 yr son ha free range after I returned to work and my kits were all “lost”). I restocked original MAC lights - i was on the market for new flashlights: I found NEBO a great addition. The pencil size one is battery operated. I love the powerful rechargeable one. Its great to keep up on a stock and relearn technology- here in Alaska all power outages happen- all batteries end up needing replacing, but I’m pretty happy with what i have going- recharge generally does the job, bears, questionable folks all things! Ill look into those batteries and add them to my kits. Be well! Bless you all
David, I have a question about the all too common phenomena that seems to happen in so many of your accounts of missing persons: that being, the weather suddenly changes, turning bad quickly and halting the searches. This seems to happen way too often. My question is, have you ever gone back to look at the forecast of these places to see if these bad weather instances were forecast to happen? Would be interesting to see if these instances just came out of nowhere or if they were already forecast.
I always carried two fliashlights, the other one for backup, whether I was on or off patrol duty. One time I was overseas, staying at a hotel, a big typhoon knocked out the electricity in the hotel I was staying at and having those flashlights sure made evacuating that building a lot easier.
Dave, that REALLY helps when you give the scale of the map like you did on this video. That example of "a mile and a half" from where Stevens truck was parked, to that ridgeline to the east was dramatically smaller than I was assuming, UNTIL you mentioned the actual distance.
Just getting a chance to catch up on your last few videos and amazed you mentioned a meadow! Just kind of blew my mind after I finally got the nerve to post about my meadow story under your last video!
It makes me wonder what else goes missing. Nobody keeps track of all the trees and creatures in the forest. There could be more vanishing that are part of the nature.
I opt for lights that take 18650 rechargeable these days. I keep 10 batteries in the drawer and top off their charge every 6 months, cheaper than cycling through specialized alkalines especially because I love burning through it at max brightness.
Another great and eerie 🤨 report Dave and village 👍. You may say "the point of separation" in this case was his campsite, where he might have had more light 🔥🪵👀.
Dave, makes more sense for this young man to have his camp in the field near water. This hiker was new, so just IMO he was found where he camped. Where was his gear? Seems he was returned to the place he was abducted. I do not think he traveled far again, new not used to hiking distance also alone, so fear of going too far. His truck was near and had keys in it.
Your channel makes my entire day, and is the first thing that pops up when I open UA-cam. Keep up all the awesome research, you are appreciated. Have a blessed and wonderful evening.
I am a flashlight snob too. David check out the new streamlight protac it can take the rechargeable 18650 or the cr123a’s Same with the surefire scout light pro 2 Both great lights. Torque test channel is a good place to see some great testing on new lights.
Great Video Dave. These cars are so sad. Some sick evil thing is taking these poor people and keeping some and ditching others after they serve whatever purpose they do for them. It still to this day blows my mind no matter how many of these cases you tell us about. Take care Dave. Love to you, Angie and Huck. ❤
Hey Dave, great video. I’ve carried a stream light micro stream single AAA flashlight in my pocket for years. It will clip to the bill of my hat to make a pretty decent headlamp also. Keep up the great work 👍
Dave, you may have addressed this in the past and I've missed it, but I have a question. Do you have any cases where members of the search team have also went missing?
My guess is that he was a novice hiker out in the middle of nowhere, thought he was in a very safe and pristine area, didn't want to lose his keys and was exceited to get in the back country, just forgot.
Thanks for the flashlight talk. My EDC is from Inforce. It also uses the 123A batteries and has high and low settings controlled by one button. Inforce is made in the US and they also make fine, afford tactical lights for firearms. My only dislike about my flashlight is it doesn't come with a pocket clip.
Thank you for putting the map up there on your videos. It helps me zoom in on the surroundings of where these people disappear. Someday with your keeping these disappearances alive someone out there will see something and help solve or find someone, I just know it. I will continue to watch your videos every night in my down time.
me and my wife love your movies we've watched all three and we're patiently waiting on the 4th! if you could answer when the 4th might come that would be nice
Streamlight makes 123a batteries, that I bought online, for two bucks a piece if you buy ten or more. Just so you know. At least I think that's what I paid for them. Very reasonable, either way
Practical & tactical , diversity , gone 1 day , take 7 days with you. Skills , knowledge , practice , goes a long way. Hikers often lack any real knowledge let alone any real essential gear
I bought a streamlight protac HL at diamondback police supply in Tucson Arizona in early 2013. It went everywhere with me in my Air Force career. I used it everyday and it’s attached to my shotgun as I type. Never needed a new part!
I still use my 6-D cell maglight with an updated LED bulb. I always wanted the 6-C cell, but they stopped making them a long time ago. I also carry a post -WWII German military flashlight with the built in red, yellow, and green lenses. They use a 4.5V battery (Varta makes them) and can be upgraded with a LED bulb. Very handy light, long lasting battery, and the straps allow you to attach it to your field jacket top pocket button (or you can sew some on). Not great for distance, but for immediate surroundings very useful. Great camping flashlight and compact because it is square,

Yes, the letters are my favorite!
Great presentation today! So glad your movies are back up!!! Thank you for all you do. 🙏
Red Flags: 1) Buy gear first time 2) Went Alone 3) didnt tell anyone where
Interesting case, so sorry for this family
congratulations on the full Amazon load…can’t wait to share with my trail happy adult children -peace
My average watch time for this video was 30:17. Watch all Daves movies everyone! Love you Dave ❤
Dave I watched all the way through. I believe you! Where is this young man's camp? That stuff doesn't just disappear. There is something that happens when no one else is watching. It's swift, methodical, and I believe there is a purpose. Or? Maybe people stumble into another timeline. Thanks for all your work.
Maybe the tent and backpack was found, just not by very scrupulous people
Well Dave, you have done it again. Bought us a case that is a real mystery. I will most likely worry this like a dog with a bone! Could this young man have camped further out, got turned around in the snow storm and had moved further away from his camp? I guess we will never know. I feel bad for the family.
💯
Dave that’s brilliant haha- flashlights… I was restocking my kits, SR, Hunting kits and Jeep (my 23 yr son ha free range after I returned to work and my kits were all “lost”).
Be well! Bless you all
I was going to purchase NEBO until I did the research about how long they last at the highest illumination, atrocious.
Yay movies are up!!! So happy for you Dave and I will be watching the UFO connection ❤
Dave, that REALLY helps when you give the scale of the map like you did on this video. That example of "a mile and a half" from where Stevens truck was parked, to that ridgeline to the east was dramatically smaller than I was assuming, UNTIL you mentioned the actual distance.
I carry my 18650 Fenix EVERYWHERE no exceptions.
Key point, first frost. I've noticed many of these disappearances happen either before the first frost or after.
Dave, I rewatched two yesterday and will rewatch the 3rd today. Such interesting material. Thank you.
The Sierra Mountains has alot of Granite and a crap load of serial killers. Spent two years up in Placerville/Strawberry area.
It's good to warn people. Thank you.
Thanks Dave 🙏🇺🇸
Another great and eerie 🤨 report Dave and village 👍. You may say "the point of separation" in this case was his campsite, where he might have had more light 🔥🪵👀.
Good video. Prayer's for the family✝️
Go Go Paulides
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Your channel makes my entire day, and is the first thing that pops up when I open UA-cam. Keep up all the awesome research, you are appreciated. Have a blessed and wonderful evening.
Thanks for putting your movies back up.
😂”Dave, what’s a ground-pounder?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It’s not what you think.
Excellent work!!
Feel so sad for families
On the flip side. At least someone (you) is talking about them. I’m sure they appreciate it
Great news on the movies Dave, I will be watching tonight
I am a flashlight snob too.
David check out the new streamlight protac it can take the rechargeable 18650 or the cr123a’s
Same with the surefire scout light pro 2
Both great lights.
Torque test channel is a good place to see some great testing on new lights.
My hubs loves flashlights, and we get bulk packs of 123As at Home Depot, we’ve bought from Amazon too.
Hi Dave!!! Yay
Yes
More info please!
Very interested in this too.
Thinking about volunteering with Tuolumne County SAR. So interested in the risk to searchers.
@@dstarr4882 I think it is rare. I bet injuries are a bigger risk.
Good afternoon Dave, wishing you well!😊
Has anyone ever analyzed soil samples near where bodies are later found. Perhaps there is some masking agent that prevents dogs from tracking a scent?
No, would never happen.
@@canammissingproject what a great idea!! Has anyone ever analyzed soil samples???
Thanks Dave .. ❤️
Thank you Dave…
My question is why did he leave his keys in the truck unlocked.
I thought that too. Dave has told of others who have done that. Makes NO sense
Hello Dave and Villagers. Hope everyone is well.
Thank you for putting the map up there on your videos. It helps me zoom in on the surroundings of where these people disappear. Someday with your keeping these disappearances alive someone out there will see something and help solve or find someone, I just know it. I will continue to watch your videos every night in my down time.
Thank you Dave!
Thank you 🙏🏽 Dave for sharing this video my heart is to the family I love ones the new this person, and how they lived their life. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Thanks
me and my wife love your movies we've watched all three and we're patiently waiting on the 4th! if you could answer when the 4th might come that would be nice
The zipper on that backpack would have been metal…..so where is that?
Streamlight makes 123a batteries, that I bought online, for two bucks a piece if you buy ten or more. Just so you know.
At least I think that's what I paid for them. Very reasonable, either way
The Chinese make super powerful lights for cheap. They aren't as well made but they are well worth it.
Thanks for the flashlight info!
That’s why you gotta have a decent power bank or smalll generator for flash lights etc… you can also charge your flash light in your car.
More High Strangeness out in the West. I wonder if we will ever solve the mystery of such disappearances? Everyone have a good week.
Practical & tactical , diversity , gone 1 day , take 7 days with you. Skills , knowledge , practice , goes a long way. Hikers often lack any real knowledge let alone any real essential gear
I used to have so many Streamlights. My favorite was a stylus one with real tree camo and a green light
The reason the keys were in the ignition is because something grabbed his attention, and he wasnt sure if he wanted to stay?
I bought a streamlight protac HL at diamondback police supply in Tucson Arizona in early 2013. It went everywhere with me in my Air Force career. I used it everyday and it’s attached to my shotgun as I type. Never needed a new part!
Solid!
Thank you 💯💯💯💯
I still use my 6-D cell maglight with an updated LED bulb. Great camping flashlight and compact because it is square,
Wow, come up to the 21st century, you'll be pleased.
Well now I know about batteries and flashlights! Come on!
