abs delete? factory ebrake cable removed? drum brake out? front portion of the wheelwells in the engine bay? window washer tank? just making sure you guys really removed all the unnecessary weight!!
Right lol the whole time I’m goin man you guys are just doing all the easy stuff they glorify on YT, there’s so so many more things you’re leaving that are super unnecessary
As someone who drifted with only a driver seat for a hot minute, getting a passenger seat was well worth the extra 15-20lbs. Much more intense when you have a homie screaming in the car lol
Crash bar replacements can weigh 3-6lbs vs the 20+lbs oem, speed holes in everything non structural body panel and if you really want to scrape off a few more pounds cut out the unnecessary wiring but that's a little more technical and tedious for very little weight.
What do you need a dash for ? Stock sound deadening still in there too. OEM crash bars are heavy, ABS, lighter wheels, lighter battery, etc many things that can still be done
So I have an e36 4 door that I use in Khanacross. I will probably spend the Christmas holidays making mine lighter but I have removed all the factory wiring and run Motec with an M42 engine. I have also removed the factory hand brake and ABS. I will also fit a small motorcycle battery to also further reduce weight.
Pain in the butt. We decided to strip the sound deadening after we ran our first 9 in the car. Kept ac, full interior, heated leather seats, etc. just so we couldn't get accused of being the first in the 9s because it was gutted. Even used the oem bmw 16s with stickys and oem suspension with h&r sport springs. Got the car aligned with like 400 pounds in the trunk to simulate the squat when launching. Was alot of trial and error but great times.😂Sry for the essay.
I custom made it for sketchy. You have to weld in mounting points for it to work but also makes it removable. We currently do not offer them for sale unfortunately
I'm pretty sure the sedan is only about a big bag of potatoes heavier than the coupe and most of that is the rear seats. The E36 was a weird car for something so common.
Effort vs benefit.. spend 3 days and probably a couple hundred bucks to get dry ice in the boonies trying to get that crap out to save 2 pounds ain't worth it.
I've heard reducing the vehicle's weight by about 100 pounds can lead to an effective increase of roughly 1-2 horsepower in terms of acceleration capability, but I've also heard every 20 pounds of weight reduction is like adding 10 hp, if that were true though they would have made 100+ hp, im taking one of these comments advice but instead of putting my battery in the center of the car im putting my heavy ass sub box in the middle lmao (for lower center of gravity)
I would of left the heater box in it for demisting the windscreen 🤦♂️ you just ruined the rain ability of it but i live in Ireland its cold and wet here 😅

Don’t forget the trunk lid and gas lid. Move the battery to the passenger seat location for lower center of gravity too :)
Right lol the whole time I’m goin man you guys are just doing all the easy stuff they glorify on YT, there’s so so many more things you’re leaving that are super unnecessary
Really would like to abs delete my e46 my brakes are so squishy.
Yea this one was primarily focused on just chassis weight, but don’t worry my goal is 2000lbs some how haha
Need to ditch those heavy ass wheels too

Was considering putting mine one a diet. Decision has been made. Thanks dudes.
I swear to god y’all have the best job in the world! lol
Thanks for delivering quality content fellas! 🙌🏻
Glad you enjoy it! 💚

I think hoon garage got like 10 pounds out by cutting unnecessary wires. And I'm sure it'd be more with a sedan.
@@flatwoodzmafia the wheel base of all e36 are the same so the wiring length to the rear from front should be the same for sedan coupe and touring
🔥🔥Notification squad 🔥🔥
🙌
Good times nicely done 👍
replace floor metal for plastic. Hollow out the doors.
and definitely drilling tons of holes with hole saw.
Love this kind of content, fun and super accessible.

That is a start to another pro car
Spoiler alert!!!! These dudes are still rad!!!

Amazing content, as always.
So when di we get told what the E36's are for? (LZ Invitational?)
Met Chris’s parents today in TN. Really cool people…small world
Appreciate it nerds..
Need that full tank for any traction now lol.
😅
You guys did great but surely you can delete the bumpers or at least the rear bumper 😂
i wonder if any one else is gonna catch on to crickets "Boner Jams" quote hahaha
"BONER JAMS 03" 20 year reunion lololol @DriftHQ

@driftHQ do you sell E36 harness bars like the one in this video ? If not where did you get yours from looking for one for my E36 coupe

Cut speed holes in bumpers or remove them and run bash bar
Makes me wonder how light my gutted coupe weighs, it’s got like nothing in or to it
unsprung weight check how much those wheels weigh.
Wait, why did we gloss over the 2x4 so quick. Why the heck was a 2x4 screwed to the door 😂. So random.
That was to push a dent down there for shore I've done that before myself😂
I'm pretty sure the sedan is only about a big bag of potatoes heavier than the coupe and most of that is the rear seats. The E36 was a weird car for something so common.
Get Chelsea there to take a peek at it. I bet he’ll get Atleast another 20-50 lbs out 😂😂
shoulda got rid of sound deadening
What about the sound detonating on the floor?
Effort vs benefit.. spend 3 days and probably a couple hundred bucks to get dry ice in the boonies trying to get that crap out to save 2 pounds ain't worth it.
100%
It's over 20 pounds @@sirmonkey1985
Dry ice on the sound deadning to remove it. Alot more weight to be lost there
Speed hole the world
Carpet, heater box and wiring is 55lb
Yall domt need that gas door😂
🤣
Lighter wheels, lightweight flywheel!
Could've cut the exhaust from headers back
So this was Sketchy, Duarte's car not Stinky Adams ?🤔
This is Sketchy, yes. Who knows what the LZ guys are doing to Stinky 🤣🤷♂️
Someone say “Sketchy Shit 💩?” …. 🍿👀
Some say 100 lbs is worth around 10hp. So y'all just added like 40hp 👀

Stronger. Batman.
Dont let donny cut
Black Friday deals?
They're live! Check the site
I would of left the heater box in it for demisting the windscreen 🤦♂️ you just ruined the rain ability of it but i live in Ireland its cold and wet here 😅
I’ve got mine down to 2380 with a cage and a passenger seat.
Should've removed all interior without cutting panels then measure the weight again
Get rid of all the wiring it’s easy there’s a video on UA-cam
rear bumper can go :)
Install nicer lighter wheels to get under 2400lbs 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏽
Metal bumpers are like 60lbs take them off
Stock BMW wheels are pretty heavy.
2(420) 👌🏻
Cut more out off spare wheel well
Missal car
Carpet Delete
Love the E36 content but sad to see them getting stripped and cut up on decently clean chasis :/
