@@evadethio4512 :( since it has 3 years warranty, I opened a case with the seller (in my case amazon spain) and they gave me a link to open a case with Sony. Sony gave me the locations of nearby official support centers. After a week they repaired the headphones for free because it was less that 3 years old. The fix was weird. They replaced the whole thing. Even the serial number changed. Idk but it works. If your headphones are in good shape and are younger than 3 years, complain to the seller until they fix it.
Everything works fine with the control panel and noise cancellation, but the audio is only coming out of the left ear. I'm not sure which part needs to be replaced, or where I can purchase it in Cacanada.
@@fesyaa8407 I opened a claim with the seller, in my case Amazon Spain. Amazon gave me a link to open a case with Sony. Since the headphones are still under warranty (you have 36 months typically) Sony gave me the address of the nearest official Sony repair center or whatever is called. So I took the headphones there and they repaired it for free after a few weeks. I recommend doing that if device is younger than 36 months. If not, you can still try that and see what they have to say. The more claims they get, the better I guess for future products.
Hey, i just want to share my story about my headphone WH-1000XM5. I had the same problem as you, that my right side of headphones is literally dead, not working at all (all by means, the main functions as sound and the noice cancelation) other than that is working, like the touch gesture and commands. I do make a very unfortunate decision for that though, i made an attempt to service it to the SONY service center. After couple days of waiting, they said that my AC system circulation is broken. So i asked them, is that had anything to do with the way i charging it? The said, it might have. I've been asked with what type of ampere do i've been charging it with? They said the ampere you should charge it is about 1.5 - 2 ampere. Which i was confused? Because the usual adaptors i've been using is only taking up the measurement like 18 watt/ 20 watt and I've never took any attention to what ampere is it using because in the trailer of the headphones said you can fast charge it. ALSO to mentioning, SONY never put the point up about how much the adaptors spesification it had to be charged with! (New update, my adaptors apparently is having the same ampere as they're saying) So i asked them again for another possibility of might be the reason, is that maybe because over charge? As long as i know, i always charge it to 80-90% because i'm using my 18watt adaptor and took timers for 25mins from 20% of battery left. But, yeah maybe sometimes i do over charge it, but not like for more than 10 minutes i usually took timers to set. So... XM5 doesn't have any cutting power system? They said, yes. That kinda made me shock. I never knew about that before. So, yeah maybe if it is, then, is it my fault not to know it? Yes :) it always back to users right? I'm in so much blue after that. Well, in the end i took the repairment proceeded tho. It took literally half and abit more of the actual price. They said, have to change the AC cables (along the head rest stem as well) that might broken along the way as well, but the repairing process is too much to handle (y'all know how hard of it's repairablity), so i literally have a new pair of headphones now! :) This is taking me way next level up of my comfort zone :) But thanks for the experience i guess?
Salutations, my brother. They won't be taking the speaker's place. That's how I used to do it. Usually, they do change the headband. It comes with two speakers. Consequently, the procedure is highly costly. Perhaps it explains why they declined to issue you a refund.
I have been using the same headphones for the past year. Suddenly, I started to hear a disturbing buzzing sound from the right side of the headphones. Intermittently, the buzzing would stop, so I thought it was okay. However, one day, the left side of the headphones suddenly stopped working. What should I do?
I suspect that charging the headphones with a cellphone charger or some 15+ Watts charger could damage the circuit. The only explanation I could find for a right side broken. Every failure I've read about is right side only, where the charging port it located. Strange. I got the headphones fixed by the seller and I charge the headphones with a USB cable connected to my computer since then. Takes longer but could avoid this issue I guess. Also, I try to unplug it as soon as is 100% or even before that. High watts/amperes/heat is bad and may be the reason these fail.
hello im having the same issue my headphone suddenly stopped working on the right side i always charge it in my laptop i didnt even drop it , do you own a shop in colombo i would like to come and fix it ,
I have a problem with the rigth side but only when i turn on the noise cancelation. When the NC is on, this side starts make a weird noise, like a little turbine. Any idea how to fix that?

hey, did your noise cancellation also break?
No brother only the speaker died it self. Due to the firmware update i guess.
My noise canceling and speaker have broken… will I need to buy another part aswell?

Left side speaker maybe dead 💀 it is a common problem on xm5 theses days

I have fixed left side tooo…. I think it’s a firmware issue.
08:57 Where did you buy the new speaker? Thanks.
Just found on ebay
So, the actual problem is that the right side driver is just broken and needs to be replaced?
In my case yes. Some time if u do a hard reset. On headset it will work. Normally try to rest first before you. Do anything

hey i got error in my xm5 automatically off after 30-50sec when i open it and touch panel is aslo not working.
oh. interesting. Tell me more about it, bro.
yes changing port is also not working and battery life is showing 100% in my phone Bluetooth settings.
i'm assuming the problem with the sensors is somehow
My right side volume is lower compared to the left one and the noice cancelling also doesn’t seem to be working properly
Right side volume is low. It is normal usually headphones 🎧 are working like that. Noise canceling. It should be a ear-cap not sealed very well.

Try to replacing the right side mic
Sony messed up... All of a sudden the sound has gone extremely LOW even on a full volume. Not worth it, 😡
Did you do any firmware update recently 😳
