here's why i think dazai Is still alive: 1: when chuuya shoot him he was still talking even when he was supposed to die immediatelly . 2:in chapter 101 when chuuya was about to drown and dazai talked about their past together chuuya's eyes was normal. 3: chuuya ability Is about controlling Gravity so It can be pretty Easy to make a bullet not deadly 4: dazai's death Is unneccesary for the manga, if dazai die the agency Is 100% dead. 5:asagiri literally said that chuuya and dazai are soulmates.(chuuya and dazai are like one soul it two diffrent bodies.)
Just the fact that Dazai was able to speak and form a coherent phrase, is enough to know the bullet never hit where it was supposed to. As the frontal lobe is the speaking area, plus he would have died almost instantly yet he had the time to speak (bro took his sweet time) So, he's definitely alive or we're all delusional ❤️
There might be a chance that Dazai nullified the vampire on Chuuya, and when Chuuya gained consciousness as he pulled the trigger, he used gravity manipulation to stop the bullet speed just in time not to pierce Dazai’s head, which gives the reason why the bullet didn’t pass through the back and only shows blood at the front.

I think it’s 100% that dazai is alive Why? 1) fans 2) He is one of the main characters + he does a strong positive influence on the main character (who is atsushi) 3) he connects different narrative lines: detective agency, mafia, Dostoevsky, book 4) he is one character who’s we can see through all series (childhood in mafia, meeting Chuuya, Oda and his death, Agency, Magia again, other bad persons and nowadays in manga) 5) maybe author of the manga also loves him and will not kill him (it’s not a game of thrones) 6) I think he is cooler and clever than Dostoevsky or they are on one level. I think it’s something that is really important too. It would be a really silly way to kill that super cool character in the story. These are my own thoughts. You can add yours.
I think each character has a heavy influence to the plot in their own way, but Dazai having a wider connection to a multitude of characters leads me to believe the same. He is a very important asset to future chapters. I honestly don’t think asagiri would kill him off, but we also don’t know much about him, while also knowing a handful of things. So he could possibly die but still be important, I have no idea though🤷♂️
