As a massive dinosaur fan, I can give some insight on the accuracy of this show. I can say with confidence that they did fantastic. It is extremely up to date and realistic. And it's undoubtedly the most accurate Dino-doc to date. But there are some problems. Most are just expected, like a new study releasing after the sequence was completed, or a few oversights that are bound to happen. There is also a lot of speculation - more that usual - but most of it is plausible. The script also at times weakened the accuracy, but if they had just changed a few lines, all would be well. Overall, it's not only very accurate, but beautifully made as well. btw, fantastic video. I look forward to seeing more!
Thank you for the insight! This certainly isn't my forte, but I had to imagine there was a fair measure of speculation going on here. There are so many sequences that really leave you wondering how they could extrapolate so much, but it's encouraging to know that it's *mostly* accurate. As for more videos, I have to get off my ass and finish one that I got shot way back in August 2022!
@@AlternatingLine No problem. I will admit even as a massive Dino nerd, I had to double check some of the speculation. Also, yeah I get how difficult it can be to just finish a video sometimes, I struggle with it a lot.
For reference, the Prehistoric Planet spent months (MONTHS!) working on the Tyrannosaurus face alone. Not the teeth, not the shape of the skull, not the jaw nor eye movements, nope. The face. They wanted to get the most accurate face ever: where does the skin meet the fat which then meets the flesh and bone below, how much soft tissue above the eye, lips or no lips, etc. That should tell you an idea of how deep these dino-nerds and animators went to get the most scientifically grounded animals, actions and environments. There's speculation for sure, there always is. But nothing was solved with a flip of a coin or the rule of cool. Since you humbly said that you were not very informed about the scientific side, I just wanted to add that to the context of this show :)
I think when you said flying dinosaurs, you meant pterosaurs, because there are flying dinosaurs... we just call them birds, and people often mistake pterosaurs as dinosaurs.
I know, I know, I'm terrible at keeping to a schedule. I actually shot another video back in August (!) about Severance, but was a little overwhelmed with cutting all the episodic references. Coincidentally, I reopened the project last night, so hopefully I can have a finished episode up in a week or two!

I never unsubscribe from a good channel, no matter how dead it may seem
