Jon Favreau is the absolute man, he gave the scientists the power to portray these animals in the most realistic way while taking a backseat when it comes to his major involvement, he wanted the spotlight to be on the documentary not on himself.

'PREHISTORIC PLANET' is a MASTERPIECE!

I love this series. The cinematography of the places, the lighting, and even the texture as well as the shadows of the dinosaurs certainly feel real. However, it would have felt even more real and engaging had they included mechanical puppet clips, showing the Dinosaurs up close and devoid of CGI, just like Walking With Dinosaurs.
