I particularly like it when they climb up a tree backwards.

The White-breasted nuthatch is what got me into backyard birding. Thanks to them I’ve gone beyond the backyard in order to find more beautiful birds. I enjoy your videos!

We have White-breasted Nuthatches coming to our feeders all year round. They tend to be fairly bold and often threaten other birds with a spread wing display, "I'm bigger than your are".

I have one that visits my feeder. He darts around like a little ninja, and sometimes makes very insistent calls. So cute!

I love these little dudes. At my parents house they jammed sunflower seeds from our feeders into the windows! When we opened them up in the springtime, there were little piles in the corners!

I just watched a few flatten themselves to my deck rail, sticking their butt's in the air with all their feathers fluffed up. Looked like a bird's version of downward dog pose. 😂

My second favorite bird after blue jays! White breasted nuthatches are so adorable and funny! Thank you for making this video on them, as it was a real joy to watch. And I learned something new- that the females have slightly lighter caps. Thank you!👍🙂👍

Within a 4 miles radius of my house there is one every 3 years. Within a 5 miles radius they are common and abundant. They are SO closely tied to oaks in the west it's crazy.

Today chickadees came back to my feeders and I had my camera set up for a half an hour without the picture I was looking for. They are quick!

I have a white breasted nuthatch that I can walk up to where I am to the point I can reach out and touch the little guy, and he just hops around the bird feeder and looks at me. The nuthatches love the pecan trees in our yard they just hop up on a pecan and start hammering away.

Very cool birds. There is a large oak outside my home office window and I get to watch them all spring / summer long. One of my favorite sights.
