If I understood correctly, guitar sound is Cesar's special skill. He did it also in Hellfire. Layne's performance was amazing.
Eli took this one - lead on arrangement with support from Layne, and Eli did the video etc. I think there is a distinctively different sound emerging that will be Eli's productions, just as Layne and Geoff each have a distinctive sound.
You really have to watch Geoff & Layne closely. When Geoff did his famous growl near the end then Layne came back at him with his Geoff looked over at him . The look they give each other is funny. Those two are always playing off of each other.❤

OMG, you mentioning frozen chocolate covered bananas unlocked a core memory. My husband grew up not far from Balboa Island, we went on dates there back in the early 2000s, and yes those bananas were awesome. Eli packed this song full of explosives and blew it into outer space. This song came out my Freshman year, and I became a grunge girl thanks to Soundgarden. I'll be playing this song on repeat.
Lets just say that if the future sounds as wild as VoicePlay does in this one, we're all going to have vertigo trying to keep our orientation.
That was actually Cesar that did the guitar. He showed us how in chats on Patreon when they did In The Air Tonight.
It sounded more like Geoff to me. Wouldn’t be the first time he’s pulled off a guitar-ish sound, I heard him do a very credible electric bass sound live.

Well you're first up on this one! Damn son! This song is stupid good. And Geoff DID bring the thunder and the guitars too, totally insane. Anthony is my favorite guest, his tone just works with them so well. Cool reaction, VP is just ridiculous at this point😂

I've always loved this song (even though the original music video freaked me out, lol!). And that was an incredible cover!! May even like it better than the original. I've never really listened much to these guys (I'm more a PTX gal), but that impressed me. Was there some distortion used in this? Not that that reduces the talent or awesomeness one bit, but it did sound like it. I could be wrong, of course.

Zach, you're one of the few reactors who (sometimes) pays attention to the lyrics of songs and their meaning. Can you make any sense out of this one? To me it's incomprehensible. It's from a game, right? Would it make more sense to people who know the game? (Everyone's welcome to weigh in on this...).
As a soundgarden fan. It was good. But homeboys bass did not fit.
