You handled that surgery like a G! So happy to see your 1st week seemed pretty smooth for you! I'm hoping mine goes that well. I am in the process now of finding a surgeon I'm comfortable with. 1st one (who is a woman) has no compassion for what I'm feeling. She just wanted to put me on birth control pills... which raised my liver enzymes thru the roof and made me very ill. I scheduled a hysterectomy with her for Sept 1st but canceled. Ion trust her lol. I really liked the 2nd one, but he only does vaginal or abdominal. He never did the training for laparoscopic and I really want that one if I can. So he referred me to one that he says is the best at those. I see him on Sept. 14th. It seems like male Gyns are more compassionate about what us women going thru this more than the women Gyns are smh. Anywho, I'd love to watch an update with how you have been doing since this video. I just hit my year and I will update soon I had some slight complications about 6 months in. But yes I think for my case a male doctor was best he’s been very compassionate and thoughtful giving me time to ask questions and everything even to go as far as to ask “are you sure?” Yes if someone doesn’t sit right with your spirit trust your gut , I healed really well and I’m glad I got the hysterectomy!
First person who also bled all year from Depo...like BLOODDD... All my girlfriends had no periods.. period! So sorry this happened to you too. I clicked on your video because I'm also turning 38 next month and also need a hysterectomy. It good to see I'm not alone.. so damn young. But we suffered enough... maybe they will bless me (us?) with an extra "stitch" or two? Lol but in all reality.. I truly hope you're well and this helped you. 💗
Girl no extra stitch or lipo it nuffin lol 😂 I’m going for my follow up it’s nearly a year now . I’ve been resting in not having bleeding or cramps it’s amazing. My weight has went down but it’s creeping back up due to being lazy , keeping you in my prayers! Folks are big surprised when you tell them your last period was a year ago! Lol
@@therealdynasmith 🤣.. robbed!! I'll let you know if my "lets make a deal" approach with my doctor results in few extra "tweaks" results in anything other than the textbook hysterectomy.. I got the faith. Lol... I don't get on here much to check my notifications , so I missed you response. BUT , I'm glad see your laughter intact .. 😃 I hope you continue to heal, remain healthy and get to ride out the rest of your many, many days happy, healthy , stress free and without a speed bump in site. 🙏 Magz

I’m in hospital right now after my surgery Tuesday April 6 th the doctor took everything my uterus Fallopian tubes cervix and ovaries I pray to God that I don’t go into early menopause
@@therealdynasmith thank you I believe that I was in much worse pain before then after my surgery ! Been here since Tuesday I walked around took a shower and everything and today is just Thursday after having a hysterectomy which they took everything I almost feel like a new woman
Just had my total abdominal hysterectomy Monday (March 22, 2021). I am only 39, I had a huge fibroid that prolapse into my vagina in December. I am in so much pain right now🥴😪
I’m wishing you a speedy recovery, my cousin had hers last night and they sent her pain meds to the wrong pharmacy, her first night no pain management, this is what happens to black women smh .
@@therealdynasmith right, my surgeon put morphine in my chart to take at the hospital, but my nurse (white) claimed I only had 800mg motrin. She didn't know that my black nurse had already told me. So when I told her I needed something stronger she claimed that was all I had, till I told her I knew I morphine 🤦🏽♀️
@@littlemissgeorgia974 Good job for standing up for yourself. I'm waiting on my insurance to approve mine. My Dr is doing a total abdominal on me. I have adenomyosis ( at least they hope that's what it is. )

I winder why these damned fibroids are so common . It’s unfair that you women have to deal with so much pain . I wish these things didn’t exist . Must be such a hard decision to have a hysterectomy so young .
