Day 2 post op. Pain is minimal - thank God 🙌🏽. Laparoscopic robotic procedure. Everything had to go except I my ovaries. I’m so grateful to have it done and I’m ready for abundant life after this!
Hello, i am 4 weeks in after my surgery,my Husband is going thru it,The Doctor told him he has to wait for 12 weeks....❤.... He is counting down. I am so good so far,i went for my two week check and I had a odor, but she said it was from the material they use to mend everything together. She told me if it was the wrong odor I would have the entire room smelling and she did do a small exam in the inside and said no worries. I go back for my 6 week check up in two weeks nervous again. Oh by the way I had a partial hysterectomy, leaving my ovaries intact . I'm trying to get back in the swing of things, my Husband took time off with me and he is doing an awesome job.We have twin boys who are severely autistic. Two teens boys and everyone is waiting for me to get better.❤
@@kw1384 Hey friend! Thank you so much for sharing your story. I’ll be praying for you. Tell you husband to hang in there 😆 I know it tempting to hurry up your recovery but i hope you find the balance and take you time. Keep your doctor informed about your odor issue. You have to advocate for yourself even when the doctor says their opinion. Keep us posted on your recovery. God bless
Thank you for sharing! I'm having an abdominal hysterectomy (having my ovaries removed too though), after 3 C-sections as well. Mine is because of horrendous periods and severe PMDD (that is why the ovaries are going too). It's good to hear about someone's recovery from an open procedure, so many I've seen are laparoscopic! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing your experience..i am in my 4 weeks post surgery and I was looking for advice and also know what's awaitng me in the weeks to come.. There are not many videos on abdominal hysterectomy.
@@stephaniechan9288 Hey friend! You are correct because I was looking too. I’m glad you found this helpful and timely. Life after a hysterectomy has been amazing for me. Hope you have a better life experience now.
@gurldede Thank you friend. I am still on rest for 2 more weeks. Have a beautiful time with the family for the end of year celebration. May God bless you. Big kiss from Mauritius 🌸.
So glad I found your channel. I will be having an open hysterectomy in a few months. Thank you for sharing and prayers on your continued journey of healing 🙏🏾🙏🏾
I'm 11 days post-op thanks for sharing. I have a newfound respect for C-section moms. I thought being a vag mom was hard but this is by far the hardest recovery ever. I know you talked about checking the incision site I can't see mine she glued it down.

I am 3 months post op after a total abdominal hysterectomy and I still haven’t done the s&x… I am still too afraid I keep reading stories for about the cuff tear and now that I hear your UTI story.. I am more hesitant. When will this fear go away??
@@deedeeminott4774 Hello, No I haven’t experienced anything like that yet. However I have noticed that my lower abdomen is carrying more of my bladder. What has been your experience?

@gurldede I think the most challenging part of my recovery journey is walking. I am 2 months and 1 week post op so I am looking forward to see what month 3 brings
