Brilliant mate! When the weather plays ball there's some brilliant sections of grass just away from the summit cairn on pen yr ole Wen that you can pitch on. Stay safe! Adge.
Thanks Adge, ahh really, I could only see about 10 yards ahead of me 🤦🏻♂️ I’ll get to see it again on the hike so will check it out properly Thanks for watching buddy Ash
It amazes me Ash, how you can be alright for views etc, then climb a bit higher and it’s pea soup and snow on the ground. Cloud and sunrise pics, plus cracking drone footage 😍 Cheers pal 😉👍🏼
Thank you Nobby, yeah tell me about it! I wanna get 3 more trips in before I head off on the walk! Hope you’re good mate, tuning into yours soon. Have a good 🏕
Hey Martin! How are ya pal? Lol, well she crashes/loses drones more than me so does that make me a better pilot!? 😆 thanks as always for watching mate Ash
Scary rocks to climb on. You picked a good spot to put up your tent with a nice morning sunrise Love the drone view, gives a good idea of your surroundings Take care and keep up the good work 🇨🇦 ❤️
I’ve had the cloud up 2 for a few years used it a handful of times, now got the cloud peak 2. They are good tents the cloud up ideal for this camp as you had a steep climb and it’s light but I’ve started to notice things like zips snagging. I’ve recently got an MSR access 1 4 season and want to get a soulo at some point, I don’t feel 100% in the Naturehike when there is any wind although I camped on kinder scout in the cloud up 2 and winds got over 40 and apart from slightly bending in it stood firm. Great video Ash hoping to visit Snowdonia for the first time tomorrow to do a camp. Dave
Hi Dave, hope you’re well mate. Yeah, I was given this tent to try out, didn’t really like the front entry, prefer side doors myself, and yes, the zip was snagging on this one too 🙄 I have an MSR freelite 2 now for my summer go to and the Hilleberg Soulo for winter months, pretty much sorted for all conditions Thanks for watching mate Ash
Pretty awesome place, that walk up looked great, although that steep bit looked like the steps from lord of the rings! Change in the weather up top, but a sweet camp site, what a view🌄..great couple of days it seemed, well done💪🤘
