"The loudest one in the room is the weakest one in the room."
- Frank Lucas, American Gangster
I LOVE how he shouted out Percy Miller not once but TWICE as an example of a Gangsta cleaning up or "squaring" up as he elevates his game. Not enough youngin's know that it was HIM that made moves on that level before Shawn Carter
Percy Miller needs to thank the bay area for giving him that game
@@novelaego2404 he always do. What more do people want him to say ?! A lot of people tend to say he need to give props or more to the Bay when always do that.

Damn they got Ice T to preform at the NCO club ??
That’s what’s up! At the NCO Club too…that’s pretty surprising to hear that he was even there. Cool story

Ice T always been a real stand up dude to me, and a extremely underrated rapper, 6 in the morning is a muthafucking classic. DCOG
Much respect for ICE T..OG.
Ice-T is a legend of the rap game. That's not even up for debate.
Ice & LL could have made squillions if they collaborated back in the early 90's
Fact
But it's a *FACT* that NOBODY can deny = L L's ego would've gotten in the way
You know, Ice T can say this or that. But when it comes to making money and having a humbling side - He's more cooler
Plus a dramatically better "actor".
First off inn 2 deep shows the acting skills that Robin Williams said LL. Was capable of when filming Toys.
I like listening to Ice T and his stories of the rap community back in the 80’s and 90’s.
My 26 year old daughter asked me: Daddy who is Ice T? And how did he influence music? Believe me, I got her together quick. Big ups to the Original O.G. Much respect
This didn’t happen

I had the privilege of watching Ice T in a legendary old club in Sheffield called the leadmill. He has great stage presence and has one of the greatest back catalogues.I think flavour flav came on the stage as well.Anybody remember?Day after we went to Leeds festival to watch chili peppers. Those were the days.✌️🇬🇧
I saw Ice 2003 @ the Leadmill. Great night. He actually spoke to me. Don't remember Flav being there tho. Same night?
sounds like nun but goid times to me! 90s were thee absolute BEST ! And cant nobody say different! i wasnt around for the 70s n 80's i was a baby still but i bet they were slappin too. ❤
As I’m watching this “to da break of Dawn” is playing in my head
To hear that he partnered with LL cool j and also that in his mind he took their Rap beef as just entertainment as well that was really dope not to have any hard feelings or bad blood. I respect that 💪🏾💯
Being from the east coast, ICE T is that dude that you had to respect. Doesn't matter if you fuck with his lyrics , he is so original and real with his shit. Salute to Ice T

It’s a shame that this new generation of rappers won’t be able to do that. Because they have killed each other.
Great so after 33 years I could play LL cool j songs.? This is refreshing to heard ice-T.
Till the Break of Dawn💥💥💥ll cool J
The interviewer got it partially right, in that Ice did strike first. But, the strike was long before "I'm Your Pusher" (remove the 'NOT';-), when Ice came straight out tha gates, with "Doggin' The Wax" -
- The player from L.A., cooler than any J
- My name is Ice-T, I make the mafia pay
- Doggin the wax!
Also worthy of note - LL and Ice were both inductees into VH1's Hip-Hop Honors some time back, in which they were seated close, if not right next to each other in the balcony, during the program. There was a pic taken with them chopping it up. Not sure if that was before or after their run-in in Monte Carlo.
The event that Ice and L. were attending at the time of their beef squash was at Flavor-Flav's birthday party. Don't know what age Flav was turning. But, the birthday bash was clearly after "To Tha Break Of Dawn"s release, to give folks an idea of when, where, who, etc.
In actuality, it wasn't really a "back and forth" battle. To put it in some chronological order, Ice struck first with "Doggin' The Wax", and subsequently poked and jabbed L.L. again on "The Syndicate" and "I'm Your Pusher", both from the "Power" LP. As far as I know, L.L. layed low, never addressing the disses, although we all know he was well aware of them. Eventually, L. responded with "...Break of Dawn", which basically melted the Ice. Then came the truce meeting at Flav's birthday bash. Ice lightly referenced the truce on "Ricochet" -
- Niggas wanna know about me and The L, though
- We squashed that shit with me and him about a year ago
- But there's a new rule startin' tonight
- Dis me on a record, see me, FIGHT!
L.L., reiterated their beef's existence on "I Shot Ya (remix) -
- What tha fuck, I thought I conquered the world
- Crushed Moe Dee, Hammer, and Ice-T's curl
No response from Ice.
They both get inducted into VH1's Hip-Hop Honors and dap it up. They meet in Monte Carlo and continue to dap it up. And finally, they do a podcast type vid, talking about the death of George Floyd and other social injustices at the time. Brothaz for life!
If I'm missing anything, or have anything incorrect, feel free to check me.
Love this interview💙🙏💙 #Greatness
Dope channel. Ice T is the realest!
Great interview
Ice T knows more than anyone on the planet about the street life
"How many times on your album you say you're bad(I'm baaad!)? Yo punk, save your breath! That's some WEAK shit, from a WEAK mind, and a WEAK mind, creates WEAK rhymes...!" - Ice-T Ice got him with that jab.
First thing that, popped in my head...every time I, hear Aqua Boogie as well 💪🏼💯
You neva kicked Knowledge like one time !!!! loved the Power album go the tap for my bday back in 88 or 89 can't remember lol
My dad detailed ice cars for many years... dude is solid. Definitely OG vibe when i was around him. Super playa too
LL Cool j made it possible for me to listen to Rap on my Dads Stereo. I had to listen to Ice T in my bedroom. Love both of them.
Daddy drew his line in the sand
Real talk...if you don't have to know, you won't know. Everybody's business ain't nobody's business.
I wonder when Ice and LL had that meeting cause in 1995 on "I Shot Ya", LL says " What the fuck, I thought I conquered the world/I crushed Moe D, Hammer and ICE T's CURLS" 😂
Anyway, LL was a lyricist and Ice was a street hustler whose hustle was rap at the time. Big difference. Ice made an impact on hip hop but I don't think anyone would ever put him on a greatest rappers list but shout out to both of them though.
That's the definition of a True OG. 💪 💪 👑 👑
Great perspective shared in that interview. Been a fan of both Ice and Cool I. As I have gotten older it's been so troubling to digest how lucrative attacking others is.
I am glad that Ice T and LL Cool J have been cool with each other over the years and not hold any grudges against each other because that was a silly beef. And on a side note I have a you tube channel type in Russell Mills May 22, 2017.
The Ice T album cover.... Knowing word for word the song Colors... Fun times growing up.

53 Now,Breakin,Rhyme Pays,Huge influence in my young life!!..My decessed grandparents and parents even knew you lol!
Ice T is certified and one of my favorite rappers. this nigga in all reality is a east coast rapper he's a jersey boy.
These youngsters in rap need to learn to elevate their game and how to invest their money. Not stay in a middle school mindset of stupid beefs getting each other killed and locked up. Spending all their money on 304's and fancy cars being broke before the age of 27.
Agreed, but older rappers fell into similar pitfall too it was just less lucrative than it is now. There is alot of desperation and deceit in our overall influence environment to who cheat, lie and front. It's a sick game to acquire status in entertainment industry.
I love what you said: middle school mindset. That sh*t is extra prevalent amongst this generation like crazy and I absolutely hate it!
Facts on facts. The new gen want to flaunt it. It's about staying low-key and off the radar.
That’s why foreigners eat good, they put on the square suites and quietly fatten up without making any noise. While Americans put on clown suits, acting like this and that but really ain’t doing shit and telling on themselves and everyone else too. But all want to call everyone else squares and lames, people forget to look in the mirrors.
People don't understand that lifestyle of a gangsta or Dealer. Back in our time snitching on your peoples for such thing was taboo and frowned upon. If you lived such a lifestyle you were considered a criminal which was for the reason to keep a low profile. Look at Ghost form the series power he kept everything under wraps no one knew he was dealing except for the people in his organization. The FBI DEA tried even his mistress nothing. Yes this may be a tv show that i am referring too but if you take ghost traits and use them man you will be ahead. Yes things will happen but you will learn as you go.
New gen snitch on themselves in their bars and on social media. Old gen looked up to pimping and selling drugs, new gen are all users and OD, lol. New gen start up being pop stars, get tattoos and millions and now want to join the crips or the bloods.. new gen hustling backwards, man.
@@dopedrums This will be the downfall of this new generation. They rather fake it to make it become an imposter of a gangsta pimp etc. Just to get recognition or notoriety but once a real og gangsta pimp come up and aske them yo what set you from did you put in work and how come i never heard about you. That's when they will realize man i was talking all that ish and can't back it up.
