Excellent work. Not easy making a lofi beat from scratch. I'm happy to sample royalty free stuff but try to avoid lifting breaks off old records. Found some ace sample packs the other day on a new site my friend put me onto called Mixxed. They had some great Philly Joe lo-fi packs on there. Perfect for me who's not the greatest on the keys.

Im not very experienced atm as a producer but I'd still prefer learning music theory it's helped me understand how and why things sound good which is nice. I don't like using samples cuz they're better than what I can make so I feel butt hurt and less motivated lol but they're cool for variety and ideas.

Do you think just having omnisphere and these captin plug ins will be enough to make simple lofi beats like the ones you are making in this vid? Or is there any other plug ins/ vst's you would reccomend in addition to Omisphere and Captin?

Hey honestly I couldn't say because I don't have much experience with FL Studio but it all comes down to your preferred workflow because you can make lofi in any DAW pretty similarly. I'd just say to get some free trials and test it out!

U can get drum packs, and or free sounds from online sites. Most require a free account but it's worth it.
