Fed up with doom and gloom news? Sick of constant repeats on TV? Want to relax and be calm whilst having dinner (or any other meal!)? Then this is the channel for you!!!! Well done Shaun and Colin😎.
This is way better than that UA-cam Fireplace
Oh I loved the peace and tranquility in this! Just the very gentle hum of your engine and the trickle of water at the bow..........summer at its best! Thank you Colin for this wonderful reminder or a lovely few days on the Welford arm in late September. Fantastic weather too. Such a lovely surprise to see you there xx
Loving the occasional fits of laughter in the background.
Such a lovely way to wind down of an evening.
Thanks guys
This is a lovely idea for a channel, so relaxing with a glass of wine. Really relieves anxiety....Thank-you.
This is perfect! Thanks for this. I love the sound of the boat going through the water and the nature scenery. Very calming for me.
Put this on big TV while making Christmas cookies. Just lovely 🙂
Fantastic. Are you sharing 🤣
@@BritainByNarrowboat I will absolutely share, just not sure how long it will take for them to get across the pond to you.
been super stressed out lately due to my studies, exactly what i needed for my mentl health. thanks guys
Many years since I travelled this canal. How lovely and peaceful. Feels like I’m actually there.
I really enjoyed that. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Thank you x
now THAT is incredibly quiet! Amazing - also to hear the chatting and noises that go on naturally. For someone who has not been on a narrowboat (yet) this is quite an experience. And in an interesting way different from similar channels, even David’s old real time videos had a different vibe. Good luck - I’ll stay subscribed for a while and probably watch from time to time!
I'm sure I heard the kettle whistle. I love this very soothing. Xx
Awesome! Will really enjoy this channel as much as we enjoy foxes afloat. You guys are the best, keep up the great work and have a very merry Christmas.
It's very interesting to hear how everyone interacts with each other right at the beginning.
You beauties! Thanks foy giving me my dream narrowboat channel. No music, no commentary, just natural sounds and realtime speed. Total relaxation. I couldn't have asked for a nicer Christmas present. Happy Christmas guys!
Moving along the canal, from the bow prospective, appears to be almost silent - or I really am going deaf. I could clearly hear the lock gates being opened, but it surprised me how quiet it was, from up front.
These videos are a great idea, and could have long-lasting historic value if you include all, or the majority, of the canal system.
Thanks for the video.
It really is quiet on the bow x
Love the real time video of a narrow boat trip.
Thank you so much for this. We have watched Foxes Afloat for years and this is just perfect icing on the cake. 😘 have a great time guys 😘
Along with golf on tv this pairs perfectly with a nice nap…sounds of nature…ripples of water and the occasional train, plane and brief conversation
Thanks guys - its a great escape on a busy day!
Wonderfull idea, so relaxing. Greatings from the snowy Quebec.
Send some of that snow over here xxx
Thank you boys. It's just what I'm needing right now. Its amazing and gives me great peace. 😢😘
Awesome 😎
Just what we need what could be nicer on a gloomy day .Happy New Year to hope we have a brighter on thank you for these wonderful videos in the winter ❄️ months.GodBless.💚💚💚💚💚💚❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
Yes, these are recordings to my liking! These canal landscapes are enchantingly beautiful, amazing that industrialization of all things has led to something so idyllic. Unfortunately, I only discovered this UA-cam channel today, but from now on I will be going virtual narrowboat regularly!
it's like you're sitting on the bow of the narrowboat yourself, just taking it all in...it'll be the closest I'll ever come to narrowboating from Australia...nw you have a place to air those hours of footage you get for only a few seconds viewing on your normal vlog...lovely gentlemen...merry Christmas to the three of you and give each other, including Otis, a hug from me please..🎄✨♥
Thank you for doing this. I am a big fan of 'Slow TV' so this is perfect. More, more, more please!
More to come!
Thank you for not playing music that make the birds chipping, the wash against the boat and the natural sounds of your surroundings.
Our pleasure!
Thank you so much. I have not been this relaxed for too long xxxxxxx Lorraine
Love this video, it's so relaxing xxx
What a treat! My fave sound is that of small airplanes flying over head (grew up over fifty years ago by a small airport in southern California) This was everything and more! Thank You!
I am gobsmacked by the amazing scenery and the absolute serenity in this video and how it shares a unique lifestyle with those of us who may never have the opportunity to experience the lifestyle of a narrowboat . Thank you... so much.
The sounds of the water against the bow, the sounds of the wildlife - what's not to love!!!
I really like it. very relaxing with a bit of whiskey. lol
Beautiful day, beautiful country, love the various sounds, awesome filming. Thanks.
So relaxing💜This was great guys!🌟
Glad you liked it ❤️
It’s mesmerising.
Just beautiful, thank you guys
It’s a great idea, it’s so peaceful, Happy Xmas 🎅 and a prosperous new year, and happy 😃 boating,
This is just fab. What better way to spend a day on the sofa knitting and watching this and dreaming of spring. Hubby is enjoying the sound of the trains. Thank you and Happy New Year both. xxxx
Oh, thank you for the lovely Christmas gift guys!!! I haven’t felt this calm in a month...aaaahhhhh💖
This is great!
Thank you 🙏
I didn’t realize how quiet Silver Fox was . Not the loud tap tap tap of older boats. Enjoyable and relaxing video ! Thanks for sharing ❤️
So relaxing and cool its hot here in Queensland
Cheers , really appreciate wot you both do with the Vlogs 👍 , Enjoy watching , 🍷🙃
Thanks 👍
Particularly good looking helmsman on that boat coming out of the lock. 😉
Thank you!!!
I usually prefer to watch UA-cam on my phone or laptop computer but today I called up this video on my new 55 inch smart TV. It really was a most excellent way to enjoy this warm weather video here in cold Michigan where we did not manage to get above the freezing point. Just a nice way to spend 40 minutes or so! Thank you for providing this view into your trips....
Sean, Colin and Otis. Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a healthy new year xx
Relaxing! 🤶
Loving the sound of the bow wave and the reflections. 💚 I’ve kayaked that length, a nicely different perspective.
Now that's what I'm talking about. Thanks guys, I'll be watching them all.
I loved relaxing to the Welford Arm! Early on did I hear a Spitfire coming by? Very distinctive.
love it just sit back and enjoy.
I hope you'll do more narrowboating on the canals like this video. It's fun watching other narrowboats go by.
I like looking at the names of the other narrowboats.
No swallows, no swifts, no housemartins. Berries on the hawthorn. Must be September.
Too busy a the moment, but I'll be back for sure!
John, Ontario, Canada.
I love to watch this type of vlog sometimes. Nature is so relaxing when seen from a boat, and to hear the wildlife. Lovely, just Lovely. Best Wishes
Hypnotically tranquil, probably more so watching it than actually doing it. Thanks for the new channel. Have a fun filled & frolicsome new year. Keep on vlogging.
Brilliant idea, subscribed with a smile 🥰xx
Just what the Dr ordered.
Good luck with the new channel. 👍
Thanks for making this channel fellas! I find it very soothing to watch this. Also, now I can pretend I'm sitting right there, enjoying a cuppa. Greetings from along the river IJssel in the Netherlands!
same here..we've just become passengers on their narrowboat, and it didn't cost us a thing except the time to click & subscribe...
So relaxing
Bloody love that trip
Love ya new channel ❤
Brilliant, love it.
Super stuff 👍🇬🇧🎶
This is such a simple but brilliant idea. I love it! Thanks guys
I just came across this channel. I watched the Harecastle Tunnel video and subscribed. I am subscribed to your Foxes Afloat. It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Mississippi and this channel works for me. Great for having my afternoon wine!
Thank you 🙏
Welcome aboard!
This is just lovely mind candy. Thank you.
This is wonderful. I really miss cruising, so this gives me the best of both worlds.
What about an underwater camera. I often wonder what’s under the boat. Fish, frogs, bicycles or shopping trolleys. How deep is a canal and could you drown. This looked more like a trip up an Amazon tributary than an English canal.
This is superb. While I do enjoy Colins comments and the banter between both of you, it's lovely to just watch the British Countryside gliding by. I hope Otis does not pushed out of the vlogs though.
He will always be on the other channel 👍🤣🐾
Always love your camera work and commentary. Now I get to see the excellent camera work but do miss the smiling faces and brilliant wit. Hope everything is going well for you both. Merry Christmas from a very warm Queensland (Australia)
Probably the best thing on UA-cam.
How about adding a screen saver loop video off the side of the boat so whenever I walk by my idle computer it looks like I'm going down the cut? Good luck on the new channel 👍
Such a delight! Thank you.
Brilliant idea. Wishing you both Many Merries for the festive season.
My new screen savers...thanks Boys!
Very relaxing and enjoyable, thank you.
Subbed and love it!
Colin i hope your cold gets better so you can speak, for you to be silent for 43 minuets must of been hard. But i enjoyed the trip Ed 40 so of Vegas
brilliant bow footage on your new channel . loving it . just like being on board with you both . keep em coming .
I quite enjoyed that, Thank you!
You’re welcome, Chris x
Thanks for the "new" channel, that's another couple of hours enjoyable viewing. Goog luck with the channel and seasonal greeting to you both, stay safe !!
Hi Guys Subscribed as soon as I saw the notification, was not dissapointed, enjoying the content very much. Very relaxing if you are feeling at all frazzled. Happy Xmas and Good Luck for 2022. Chris from Kent
Excellant
This is great, more cruising video. We are going to cruise the Llangollen Canal in May 2022 (coming from California) at least we hope. Been trying to do this since 2020, darn that Covid.
Hope you have a fab time x
This is a brilliant idea. I've watched some real-time video on the main channel, but love it that I can watch/listen to more.
Colin, please let me know you can see this message. I still unable to comment on main channel. It tells me I'm not allowed to send superchats either as I found out on Christmas Eve. Even when I signed up as crew member, it didn't highlight sadly.
I'm still trying to find your wish list on Amazon. I'll be with you on the live stream NYE, but again I won't be allowed to comment in the live chat, even though I do send messages in the hope that UA-cam allow me again. 🤭
All the best boys. Thanks again for the entertainment and letting me tag along with the journey. ❤️😘
I may not be the first to subscribe but I enjoy your videos
This will sound silly, but do you ever find yourself mesmerized? Have to mentally slap yourself back to reality? As a vicarious passenger in your well deck, this happened to me in this vlog! 😂🤦. 💖💖💖🌵
The canal looks so placid. Is there no current except at lock areas?
With a couple of exceptions, there isn't a noticeable current on the canals.
I hear a Tiger Moth!!
Are they much bigger than butterflies, they make such a racket.
@@wideawake914 it's an aeroplane🤣🤣😂
@@lextownsend8748 ha ha a joke I wondered would you fall for it.
Foxy lads, excellent stuff! FWIW I'd appreciate a time/date shown with the outro. Maybe not too specific; something like "June AM 2020". Or place that info down in the description? The geek in me would also like to know the camera/mic setup in use. Just a thought, won't stop me from watching!
The videos are date stamped in the description :)
@@BritainByNarrowboat , not seeing anything like a date stamp in the description in the 3 I've watched thus far. There is a link to your original vid from which an approximate date could be assumed. Viewing YT on a PC using Chrome.
How meany miles per day you think u covered? I no it not how far and how quickly that matters
But I am booking a boat for 3 week and would be willing to spend at least 10 hours a day on the move just wondering how far one could theoretically travel if thay had 10 hours
Most people travel at about 3mph, so ten hours = 30 miles. Just add 15 mins per lock or swing bridge. Don't go rushing though, the canals are about chill :)
I don't plan on rushing I have a nice 3 weeks booked thanks for the advice
