As i was a miner this reminds me of the days deep under ground happy times Thanks Lads.
I am so glad that you recorded this unique video - but boy howdy it is claustrophobic. I am way happier to learn that I should never traverse this tunnel in real life while watching your video rather than discovering this fact while cowering in the bilge of a narrowboat!!
Crossing this tunnel with Pink Floyd (Dark side of the moon) was superb. Thanks guys. xxx
I can't believe that his tunnel lasts this long. I would probably freak out in a tunnel this dark and long. Not gonna lie - this is freaky as heck!!
Neat second channel. This tunnel, long and closed in, not my thing but it was cool. I was never so glad to see the daylight at the end!
This one is my fave 👍
Fascinating. I did need to look away frequently because it freaks me out. All I could think about is what happens if the light or the engine fail.
great second channel, thanks lads.
Respect to the people who built the tunnel and those who look after it ,very impressive but I am glad it was you not me going through it
This gives a greater understanding of all the extreme hard work that went into that tunnel ...amazing. Thanks guys.
That's a long tine in a tunnel.
Thanks for the video.
Just subscribed to the sister channel lads, you know, this tunnel video may just help, I lost my wife a few years ago , we married at 20, lost her after 40 years and 2 girls later, she was only 60 ( suddenly) , I have great trouble getting a good night's sleep , I am going to try this tunnel soundtrack tonight as many people have mentioned sound therapy/ help. I will let you know how I get on. In previous comments I've mentioned I live near Saltaire, a little place on the Leeds Liverpool I know you are both fond of. Cheers lads.
Sorry for your loss, Richard
Had a few beers and shhhhh a little jazz cabbage .The tunnel with the muffled beat of the engine had me zoning out .I'm watching it after eating Liberty caps next time.
Only joking.Really did bring home the length of the thing and what an undertaking it's construction was.
interesting the different interior surfaces in the tunnel
This reminds us of the time we did the Stourport Ring and travelled through the Netherton Tunnel (9000ft long) amazing!
Love the sounds ...kinda like im really there...regards
Doc from Down Under
Kinda Spooky but Beautiful!!! Love it!!!
Very good, guys ❤️👍😊
This is cool, love the colors in here
Subbed! Let the relaxation commence.
Did not realize how long that tunnel is! Would have freaked me out a bit.
Fantastic
it is like entering another world.
That's one long passage throught the tunnel.
Certainly is 👍
Very interesting. Peaceful. Great job
I'm here. I'm not impressed... I'm Total amazed... this is like a movie theater amusement park in my lazy boy... triple thumbs 👍 👌 👏...
Awesome. Thank you 🙏
Thats amazing and scary at the same time. Wonder how deep that is? Like the setting of a horror movie something swimming around in there lol.
RELAXING? Relaxing my eye! That was nerve wracking.
Dark closed in spaces certainly not my thing. But watched a little
After growing up in the country, then living in a small town with little traffic I have moved to a urban area to be near doctors, hospitals and grocery stores. It is hard to get to sleep with all of the night noise and this might just be the thing to play nightly so that everytime a car goes by or a siren goes off I won't wake up.,I bet I won't be the only person using these videos for this reason. Thank you. Love you both and Otis too XOXOX (hope to see more of them after your new narrowboat is finished and you are back on the canals...especially the rural canals...)
Hope it helps x
@@BritainByNarrowboat thank you, love you both and Otis tooXOXOX..
This is a great video guy's the tunnel is very long and dark must of been hard work for the workers to build the tunnel a very long time ago and what I have noticed that there's a traffic cone in the tunnel I wonder how that got there.
As a diehard boater in the states a narrow trip (or holiday as you guys call it) is definitely on my bucket list.I can’t even imagine how cool this and all the other neat things are, my problem would probably be not having enough time. I’d geek out on things like the staircase locks, aqueducts and boat lifts like the Falkirk wheel. I’d want to experience them all.
just got me wondering how boaters in the good old days with horse pulled barges coped..... great new channel guys :)
1:06:37 Light at the end of the tunnel ....
Good Luck With New Channel All The Best For Christmas
That’s like walking through Moria. 😱
This is probably the only way I'd see this.
I have a phobia of being in Clausters.
Tunnel not my thing very closed in but watched a little
Yep, this is the remedy
Kind of reminded me of going to a coal mining museum, you know the ones where they have audio playing of the miners talking... Spooky 🤣
I know what you mean ..but I recall the smell , clearly not a smell you talk about before tea
So much easier sat in a chair. Hated it when we went through.
What is going on with the alternating arches of no/collapsed tunnel at t=367?
What about air quality with the diesel engine?
Do the trains suck air through for the canal?
I recall your video on the Dudley tunnels with forced air fans which was nowhere near as long.
Watch the vlog with commentary and we show/answer that 👍🏻
I assume it’s one way…In the morning till 12.00 North and from 14.00 south? Or how does that work?
There's a link to the vlog that explains it in the video description 👍🏻
Did I hear you discuss SPIDERS at the end...oh no !
Yeah, the final 300 yards of the tunnel has millions of them.
Hi guys .....im.back ( were have i heard that before ) well let me put it this was....I HAD high blood issues NOT NOW
This one is not so relaxing!! 😱😱
this is really creepy.
