  • In this video, you'll learn how to import an Image Sequence into DaVinci Resolve. It's a pretty simple process but had me stumped for a while, I'm still not sure why it can't be imported straight into the media pool instead of the timeline:/
My name is Jovan Tomasevic and I make 4 videos a month on Blender, Unreal Engine, or any other creative content that I find interesting and important to learn.

If its importing the images as individual images instead of as a video, make sure you drag it into Davinci via the Edit window, NOT the cut window, that fixed the problem for me.

This is how to do it if it works, I wouldn't be googling for it if drag and drop worked....
Actual solution: Go to Media tab, click three dots at the top of the screen, change frame display mode to sequence. Drag and drop in media pool as normal.

Hey, sorry the drag and drop didn't work, it seemed to work for me and a few people that I went to uni with and thought it was an annoyingly simple solution. Thanks for this way instead. If the drag and drop doesn't work try this method. Cheers:)

It worked for me by drag and dropping into timeline. I don't see where would I change display mode to sequence like you're saying. I'm on Resolve 18 Studio.

How do you just drag them? Davinci does NOT allow this. I don't understand why yours does.

tried doing this, but it imported as individual images. I rendered them in png, does that matter?

What if the sequences are named as Output-001, Output-003, i.e. not sequential?

Hey, sorry that it didn't worked. I've pinned a comment from someone who has alternate solution that seems to also do the trick.

This is definitively not working the way you show. And even following the below comments which also suggest your method has problems, I still haven't gotten it to work.
