I got a low oil light last night. This morning I was looking into it and found a bunch of oil crud on this part. Very helpful to know this is a simple fix. Appreciate the information!!
What is the name of that hose which was connected to vacuum pump? I mean need for my car that particular hose only and I am not able to find if any one knows kindly tell the name of that hose?
thanks so much this will explain why my car had no oil! with still 2500 miles till me next oil change… and today my check engine light came on giving me a code for this, it’s also giving a coolant problem code and i’m wondering if this has anything to do with it or if i just have a bad sensor
Why did you replace it? Any codes in particular or oil surrounding the pump? Curious if i should do my one or not. I get a check engine light daily for a vac leak
@@Charlie7146 Another dude on a forum responded to me but if the oil on the pump is recent you might be able to just replace the gasket. If it's been oily and dirty for a while most likely the pump itself is gone as well. I just ordered a new one for about $155 cad all in, easy enough of a fix
@@owenmccarthy4636 I got my new pump in the mail, got the bottom and top bolt off, but cant get the one on the left off, damn near stripped the bolt trying, got a couple cuts from it aswell lol
I have no oil light that comes on but there's a leak coming down the engine coolant inlet flange hose cars done 83,000ks, and also leaks on the alternator and on the ground oil refilling every week. New Zealand is hard to get the parts needed to fix the oil leaks. It definitely is not the valve cover gaskets as they are brand new. The part I want to know if this part for my Audi A6 06E 103 535 A is either a vacuum pump or a high pressure fuel pump.
Yes you can. That's exactly what I did with mine on my '08 B7 A4 just a few days ago. Parts can be purchased either from eBay or Amazon. Bought mine from the latter.
Hello does anyone know why my audi a6 c6 brakes only come half way back and it happens only sometimes , but when the brake is down the car does not actually brake but just the brake light goes on and brake itself works completely fine , i checked DOT 4 oil and everything ok there. I am thinking that it might be some issue with the brake pedal itself. Please help

Im not sure how yall got the bottom screws out they wont breake free what so ever for me, feels like im strippin it Edit: got all screws off and replaced with a medium sized ratchet. Fixed oil leak.
Greetings from New Zealand my Audi A6 I'm not sure if oil is leaking under the vacuum pump or if its the high pressure fuel pump. Also after the car stops and turns itself off at the streetlights its a start stop car but as soon as it starts back up I put my foot on the accelerator but it konks out any idea what this problem would be. Thanks for the tips much appreciated.

Hi, can this cause the code for intake manifold runners bank 1 and bank 2 stuck closed?

hopefully it’s the brake booster/vacuum pump
Nice! Unlike my '08 B7 where the pump is located on the back and in between by the firewall.
Does anyone know the hose number? Trying to replace the hose also but have no idea what hose to get. Thanks
nope im trying to find the same

Anyone know if a vacuum pump failure would cause any noise ?
Can this pump cause brakes to harden?
Yes the vacuum pump’s job is to create vacuum for the brake booster.
Necessary to replace the whole pump or can the gasket be replaced? Only issue I’m having is an oil leak.

Slider pins on calipers would be the next thing to check. If they are sticking it will cause this
what happen to your web site on the evap codes?

How did you managed to remove the screw ? I feel like I'm stripping one

Instead of the vacuum the engine already produces, a separate pump. Sheesh.
