Your review is refreshingly honest. The obvious contradiction we are all facing is that it feels very disruptive to insert a cheap $5 item to a luxurious personal care routine sold by the advice of a friendly salesperson. The confusion is normal. Good dermatology is making wise choices for the skin. RetinA is not glamorous at all but it works for skin. Nivea is a great historic product and its unique texture feels like luxury in cheap packaging. LaMer the basic creme sells a more advanced sensory experience, exquisite design and service, but its formula is quite similar. The difference lies in one or two ingredients and a lot of marketing. Lamer simply added fermented algae, some reflective proprietary pigments and a few essential oils to the legendary blue tin cream. Big difference apparently considering the ongoing debate over these two products? Of course not. It's all about price and social standards, let's not kid ourselves.

I use other serums that have more serious anti aging ingredients including retinol, acids, etc. In terms of a moisturiser--nivea is brilliant and we all forgot about it while searching for a miracle cream and trying thousands on the market. Nivea is a great moisturiser. La Mer is also only a great moisturiser, because according to La Mer, they 'don't believe in anti-aging', hence there are no serious anti aging ingredients.

And if it’s so miraculous, why have so many satellite la Mer products, surely one miracle should be enough.
They actually do have the miracle broth in a stronger, targeted Concentrate, which I have used when I burned my skin with a chemical peel and it was lovely and very soothing. What about aluminium in this cream? They say that is very not healthy and dangerous.
I think it depends on who “they” are! Everyone should research themselves to feel comfortable with ingredients they are using on their skin. 🥰. www.google.com/amp/s/www.self.com/story/controversial-cosmetics-ingredients-research/amp
@@LisaMonique thank u.. In poland dermatologist says so... Aluminium can be bad for your nervous system and even cause cancer... Its a shame cos i love nivea cream..
The nivea is a great product
Good morning beautiful loving the video
Thank you!
I use olweiz nivea cream.
I like nivea cream...
Arghh, for all the claims La Mer makes, it still has fragrances......
I know, it's funny how all the luxury brands have very strong, distinct fragrances. Usually I don't mind because they don't irritate my skin, but it has to be soft and dissipate quickly.
I think the right side of your face looks best.
lovely video :) subscribed
It’s not a valid comparison to use a combination of the other products with the two you are comparing . I like your channel otherwise . Be well
My take too
I'm your new friends thank you for sharing more power god bless you
I live in Germany and Never used a Nivea cream
Interesting
Good people good channel good luck 👍
thanks up video, support you, hope you😀
I think Nivea is very effective for me (German one)
I was surprised it wasn't greasy!
Hello new friend watching here see yah thanks for sharing
Always curious about this- Esteé Lauder owns both companies and I’ve definitely used both... but I think this is one of the great myths of skincare and we should all be so focused lol!
I don’t think Estes Lauder owns Nivea unless they just purchased, it was owned by the German conglomerate Beiersdorf, which also owns Eucerin and Aquaphor.
Beiersdorf owns Nivea, which is still a German company other brands owned by Beiersdorf are for example Eucerin or Coppertone.
@@LisaMonique
No, it doesn't, owns La Mer .... 7 companies owns the majority of cosmetic brands ( high end and drugstore) in the world , only that tells you everything
@@eva5302 Yes but a company can also own multiple restaurant chains and their food and quality can all be different.
Your Nivea is not the German original - it has a lot more ingredients then the original from the list you posted.
Though it shows the same ingredients that are online if you google the German version compared it US version
I buy it in Germany & Paris all the time (last time was in Canada) and all have less ingredients then yours. If you can find a way to buy it from Canada, it will be the original from Germany. Lucky them in Canada, they get ALL the Nivea products from Germany. I love their deodorant & soap also.
@@dmlkcs8620 That's interesting, I'll have to check out it when I'm in Germany. It says its manufactured in Hamberg, but the writing is all Spanish.
i live in Hamburg, near Beiersdorf actually 😅. i will buy the blue tin and write the ingredients here soon.
First one 1st like 1👍i like nivea
Thank you for always watching!! I live Nivea too!
Visually the Nivea said looks smoother
I know, they are pretty darn close! Sometimes it depends on where my lighting is though, lol. I can't say anything bad about Nivea, it's a nice deep moisturizer!!
still loke Nivea cream ..
Is Crême de La Mer a dupe of NIVEA.....
Actually, when I tried using Nivea for longer term, it made my face greasy, after 3 years since video originally came out, I still prefer the La Mer!
great big twenty eight like new friend here great video
new seven six seven join as a new friend of ur channel stay connected, love your great video thanks for sharing friend
Lol you must be very rich. Can't believe someone actually buys La Mer's marketing bullshit
Actually I spend less on La Mer each year than my 22 year old daughter does at Starbucks! Everyone gets to choose where they prefer to spend their money. I actually have not watched any of La Mer’s marketing or promotion. I go by how my skin feels, and after on and off for 2 1/2 years it’s the best when I’m using La Mer.
Awesome video and thanks for sharing and new friend here connected would appreciate the support back have a wonderful day 👍🚨New Subscriber Alert 🚨 Really enjoyed the video and have a wonderful Weekend my friend 👍👍The nivea looks like a great product
