The simple answer is yes, a smaller AC unit would sufficiently heat and cool the house. On average you want one ton of air conditioning per 500 ft² of house. In a very well insulated house such as a spray foamed house, you can usually drop a half ton.
Absolutely! If you guys want it we will def give a break down on what it is, why we went with it and what to expect. Anything in particular you’d like to see?
@@DudeWeCanBuildIt You had mentioned your in the HVAC business, perhaps a series of videos explaining/comparing package units to mini splits and traditional AC systems for homes and condominiums. Talk about how efficient they are, the cost, cost of installation, operating cost, etc.
@@Hands-onNow We can certainly look into creating a more in-depth video on the HVAC system. We gauge our video production on what the most viewers are interested in. Have you watched our air conditioning install video or the igloo video?
Yes, 2" of closed cell on the entire exterior and an additional 4" of open cell on the ceiling. Yes, the airflow is balanced. We installed dampers in the ductwork to each vent so they can be adjusted.

Do you try to have equal airflow in each room?
Yes, 2" of closed cell on the entire exterior and an additional 4" of open cell on the ceiling.
