We are living in a remote village in the mountains in Italy and we love it! Experiencing the seasons, especially spring, in our rural home is always interesting, providing endless delights and ton of work!
In today's episode we planted our vegetable garden and we assembled out new fat tires all terrain e-bikes!!!

You have a small garden but it's a green paradise in the mountains. Your property is a beautiful place to rest in the nature far from noisy and poluted cities. You have a nice spot to bath in summer. I would like to live there, beautiful people !

Great planting techniques....I could sit by your waterfalls for hours....love the sound of water falling. I think you have a little piece of heaven on earth right there in your backyard!!!!

You live in a beautiful paradise!!!🤗🤗🤗 where my father lives it is in steep mountain area so he built a deck with thick posts holding up the deck and he built stairs to go below. It came out really nice. My father also has a small green house where he has planted cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers and many other vegetables 🥰. It’s so healthy to plant your own vegetables. You add many years to your life. I have 3 sons. One of my sons is vegetarian and my other son is vegan. My third son loves meat🤦🏼♀️😂

Wow Luca and Sara , you guys have a beautiful garden and I appreciate you guys use a compost very nice. Just a tip on the tomatoes they like to be planted twice as deep because they'll send out roots. They're one of the very few plants you can plant two or three inches deeper than the root ball. My father and grandfather grew tons of tomatoes and they passed that along to me. I hope you guys are doing well and staying happy and healthy. I love the e-bike they are amazing. I'm like so jealous. 😂😂👍

Your property is beautiful I love the stream on the back side of the property it would be lovely to make a rock patio with a fire pit that you could possibly cook on. A tomato planting tip; Take off (pinch) the very bottom leaves, and plant it at a 45° angle all the way up to the next set of leaves. The stalk will grow more roots that way and you'll have a stronger vine. Tip #2 when a plant is root bound like the eggplant was, genitally untangle the outside roots to allow them to spread easier. Luca has the mind of an engineer. Must have inherited from grandfather. I see him installing a hydroelectric project that runs a little heat pump for a hot tub next to stream. It could run year round. Wouldn't that be nice after a long day riding e bikes or working in garden.

I love that you show a kitchen that actually gets *used*--there's stuff on the countertops and your table, the stove isn't spotless, there are dishes in the sink. It's very genuine and I love it!

Sara has such a beautiful natural complexion.
Those low pressure bike tires pick up thorns and other sharp objects easily, so I use a tire sealant called Slime that stops leaks if you get a small leak. A bike pump is handy because those ride well on pavement at 15-20 psi and on soft surfaces like sand or snow at lower pressures like 5 psi. You will have fun on the bikes. I like mine a lot.
Those e-bikes are striking! The design, everything totally cherry! I'm sure your garden is going to be amazing this year. With all the composting you've been doing to soil is going to get better and better. You should name your snake friend. Perhaps Sam or Samsung. One year for Christmas all I wanted was an indigo snake. I got a kitten instead. Mom wasn't a snake fan. Love you both and it always makes my day to see you. Beautiful land, beautiful stream, beautiful life for two very beautiful people, inside and out.

Question; have you considered taking some coffee grounds and raking them directly into the soil around your plants? Also, roses love potassium, so adding some banana peels into the soil near their roots helps them.

Those artichokes look absolutely wonderful. I've had many vegetable gardens and the artichoke plants were one of the things that I enjoyed very much. They actually grew little other baby artichoke plants and i took them and planted them then they grew to be very large with artichokes on them. I moved from California to Florida bought 5 acres of land and I'm going to put in a well for water and even before the home is built I will have a beautiful vegetable garden with plenty of pretty flowers even ones that smell good like your roses. Wow you guys have a very beautiful piece of property.
You’re both young enough for ebikes. I tried a few days ago with an unfortunate experience resulting in a broken rib, toe, bruises, and abrasions so decided this 71 year old body isn’t built for speed anymore. I’ll just enjoy watching you enjoy yours and sell mine to a younger person.
The climate at my home is very similar to yours. I grow lots of dragoncello (tarragon) for a sauce with anchovies. My son loves linguini with this herb in a cream sauce with reggio parmigiano. Ora ho fame!

It is nice to see all the possibilities for your gardens. It will be interesting to see how you choose to develop your gardens. The bikes are exciting as my husband and I want to get us some so we can enjoy a little exercise and explore the many bike paths in our area of North Texas.

Our last frost date in Zone 6 in the US is the beginning of May. We don't plant anything before then that is an annual flower or summer vegetable. We also had a cold and fluctuating April and first couple of weeks of May.
