    Make sure you get a battery suitable for in the cabin that one you have now will vent gases and is no good.

    if running the fans sequential might be worth putting some of that rubber seal between the 2 to stop it sucking through the other

    That's not a shroud that's a plate blanking 50 percent of the air flow and only sucking air directly in front of fans. It needs to be sat off radiator so fans can suck or blow 100 percent of face area.

    • @Franksssss
      @Franksssss 3 роки тому

      100%
      Get slimmer fans and have the shroud folded to stand of about 30mm.
      All that shroud is gonna do is suck from the surface area of the fans not the entire radiator surface area.
      Might aswell just mount the fans direct to the core.

    • @KPBUILT
      @KPBUILT 3 роки тому +4

      Was thinking the same, needs to weld like 50mm strip of aluminium around the perimeter to allow it all to pass through easier

    • @ottigreenisgo
      @ottigreenisgo 3 роки тому +2

      and have openings with rubber flaps to allow to flow better when driving. which will be sucked shut when the fan is on

    • @Franksssss
      @Franksssss 3 роки тому +1

      @@ottigreenisgo I've toyed with that but wasn't a fan.🤦
      Ive found thermos loose effectiveness at around the 60kmh, which then relys purely on radiator design/efficiency.
      For me a dual pass radiator and good shroud worked the best.

    • @ottigreenisgo
      @ottigreenisgo 3 роки тому +1

      @@Franksssss 100% that is why having the flaps let the radiator flow much more air than it being funnelled through just the fan hole. and dual-pass always!

    Have a look at some Alucore for the bed base and drawers. No rust, no soggy timber, no welding and super light.

    mate a few bits of angle /box aluminium, a drill, and some rivets should do the the trick. steel is heavy and over kill for what you're doing

  • @jordanparsons4662
    @jordanparsons4662 3 роки тому +1

    Might be worth putting some sort of divider in the shroud between the radiator fans, so when one fan is off the the other fan will suck air through the radiator not through the back of the fan that’s off

    Alloy draw frame, forget the name of the stuff but there's a bunch of standard square section lengths that are joinable with elbows and butts from Bunnings. Will cut the weight down. And if joined correctly will be just as strong as steel

    You have a Mig, you can weld alloy, its no harder than steel when working with shs like you are going to use for the frame. Just need to get some 100% argon and a teflon liner for the hose and give it a go!

    Hey mate, If you don't want to splash out on a proper long range tank ($1100+) then get a prado 90 or 120 series rear tank. They are 95 litres and fit pretty damn well with a basic bracket. I can send through some detailed pics on what you need to make, can be done in less than a day for around $200-250 for everything.

    That turbo drain line might end up melting with how close it is to the manifold even if it does have that silicone protective coating on it. Would recommend some sort of extension of routing away from that cylinder one runner. Sweet as conversion tho mate! Turbo sounds wicked.

    you may run into overheating issues with that fan shroud the way it is,
    it needs more holes for better air flow through the radiator you’ll fine the radiator will be more efficient with more holes in that shroud
    Keep in mind what the factory shroud is like and how efficient they are
