Maruti Suzuki's approach to innovation and feature enhancement appears to be influenced by their current market position. Given that they are a leading seller both in India and internationally, the company may prioritize maintaining their established market dominance over pursuing aggressive improvements in build quality or the incorporation of new features. This strategy suggests a focus on maintaining their market share rather than investing heavily in innovation.

Car safety isn't just a marketing gimmick; it's a genuine value delivered by two Indian brands-Tata and Mahindra. Unlike many popular Japanese brands, which often overlook passenger safety, Tata and Mahindra prioritize it. While Tata excels in exporting heavy vehicles to numerous foreign markets, its passenger cars remain largely domestic. It's important to recognize that car safety is even more crucial in India due to the high number of accidents. Don't just be a fan of Japanese brands; acknowledge the safety contributions of these Indian manufacturers.
Sure, safety is definitely a strong suit, but a car is not all about safety. It's sad to see just safety being over marketed nowadays in the Indian car market. Also the common misconception is that maruti and Hyundai are foreign companies, but except for the board share profit, it is just as much Indian as they are locally manufactured and a big part of R&D is also Indian. Saying these are "foreign brands" and asking everyone to only support "made in India" brands is not only foolhardy but also very unfair towards the lakhs of Indians who are researching and manufacturing at these companies. It is safe to say that these brands are quite local in their own right.
@@ShiftClubMedia Safety is indeed crucial and should not be understated. While a car encompasses more than just safety, it is an essential aspect that should never be downplayed, especially in a market like India with a high accident rate. While Maruti and Hyundai have significant local manufacturing and R&D operations in India, and many employees contribute to these brands' successes, it is vital to recognize the unique value Indian brands like Tata and Mahindra bring to the table. They focus not only on safety but also on developing vehicles that cater specifically to the needs and conditions of Indian roads. Furthermore, a car is not just about the engine or performance; safety, comfort, technology, and overall driving experience are equally important. Supporting Indian brands does not diminish the efforts of those working for international companies but highlights the diverse and competitive landscape of the Indian automotive industry. Recognizing the contributions of both local and international brands enriches the market and ultimately benefits consumers.
You're grossly underestimating Mahindra. They are far ahead in active safety features than suzuki and it's just the matter of time when countries make these features mandatory, Mahindra will excell in exports.
