I am from Nagpur. A few days ago, I also visited the Tata showroom, the Hyundai showroom, and the Kia showroom. Tata needs improvement in their sales team. Hyundai was good, but Kia was too good. 👍 kudos to Kia; they are really doing well.

Did you visit the jaika motors tata showroom? If yes I know what you're saying, the sales team is pathetic. Their behaviour towards customers is not good be it a punch buyer or a harrier buyer.
Literally, the top variants of Kushaq, Taigun, Hyryder, Grand Vitara, Creta, Seltos are like so over-priced. They're mere crossovers and 24 lakhs for something like this is too much. Like u can add 6 lakhs and get a Jeep Meridian or Tata Safari or even XUV 700. They really need to focus on their prices and Kia/Hyundai probably should launch cars which would lie in the segment of XUV 700 and Tata Harrier/Safari at the price points from 18 - 30 lakhs. If they do so, then maybe there's some potential and maybe then those cars would be worth buying. Cuz mostly Korean cars are quite reliable so people can find an actual choice in the segment which would be reliable, safe and feature rich. Those segments are just dominated by Tata and Mahindra.
In reliability and features department, Hyundai and Kia are already way ahead of Tata and Mahindra. In safety(BNCAP ratings), Tata, Mahindra are ahead. But in almost every other aspect, they are behind koreans(especially Tata). Because Mahindra's engines are very good. So, for my urban ride, I would anyday prefer smaller sized, feature rich, reliable 23 lakhs koreans, as compared to 30 lakhs Indian companies. P.S- My family owns Kia seltos, Tata harrier, Tata Indigo Manza, Maruti Alto. Just to clear the thought, that I am not a Korean fanboy.

Yes but, 22-24 lakhs for a C-segment Crossover, is it really worth? The reason Harrier/Safari and XUV 700 are having sales is because of their size, and also the fact they've 7 seater variants which is missing in these crossovers. And the size matters as well, in an obvious case the sedans in that segment and those bigger SUVs have a lot more space and larger boot. The Hyundai Tucson's base model comes at around the same price as the XUV 700 top model, Kia could also launch their Sportage. Hyundai has numerous cars in their line ups, like the Santa Fe, though a big expensive but not a bad car....If brands want, they can launch some real good cars in the D-segment with good price. Honda also has some good cars such as the ZR-V, if they can go a segment above, the CR-V is an amazing car. That one segment is just dominated by the Indian companies, and if we want good products in that segment, then companies should show some interest.

But coming to sales, yes, xuv 700 sell approx 5500 unite per month, but tata harrier sells only 1500 units per month, which is way less as compared to hyundai creta(approx 15000 units per month) or Kia seltos(8000 units per month). And yes, India is obssesed with large sized cars, but going forward, the way our urban cities are getting populated, there are no places to drive that big cars. So, for a regular job going user, buying 30 lakh, 7 seeter is not worth it. Also, In India, Crossovers and suvs are considered same by 90% of population. they will buy anything with more ground clearance and more height. that is why, we have suv type looking cars now under 10 lakh also. So, the market you are talking about is very niche and limited to certain people. People here still buy cars ranging from 10 lakh to 20-22 lakh at max.

There is something called as cartel penalties if discount by dealership is higher than guidelines by the brand itself. So even if they want to give higher discounts , they basically can’t show the same in the video 💯

Even my experience was bad at Sunrise Hyundai patparganj as i booked an Exter at Launch and they told me to wait for 2-3 months but even after 4 months no car was available then sales guy told me that the particular variant which i have booked is not in production by Hyundai thus i confirmed it with company and they denied such thing and then i lodged a complaint that this is what being told to me by dealer then sles guy called and said to take my complaint back but i refused he begged by saying they could fire him, i think he sold the particular variant which i booked to someone else at a premium because if company is not manufacturing then what is he afraid of anyways this all took about 5-6 months then i cancelled the booking and dropped a mail as well then the very next day they called and told me that particular variant is readily available for delivery but i denied and then bought a Kia Sonet DCT, till date no revert from Hyundai. I dont know whether they took any action or not
