- Greetings folks today on Redeye Reviews. Today we are chatting with the legend that is Vernon Wells. You know him from The Road Warrior as Wez, from Commando as Bennett and from literally over 250 other IMDB credits.
It was a HUGE pleasure talking to him and I can not express how grateful I am for the opportunity.

Glad to see he's doing well for himself these days. The man's a living legend.
You seriously got an interview with Vernon Wells?! Well Daaaaaaaaang, Awesome job, man !!
Right?!?
Man!!! I did not expect that guys! Looking up to your hero you had as a kid and now 20 years later, he is in a lifetime interview saying I directed the best scene in his career… that is sooo mindblowing.
Vernon is still my hero. We’ll do more magic I’m sure! Thanks guys for this!
God bless you,the scenes with vernon wells were my favorite.
Any plans for the next film yet Titus?
@@KGBeast. 2 actually with Vernon
@@tituspaar Hell yeah that sounds great!! 👍
Titus Paar character was amazing as well. DAMN, this man did alot of good movies.. love it.
It was so cool to see Mr. Wells let off some steam in this interview.
Guys like Wells just add so much to movies and other productions they are a part of- someone must make the good guy look their best, and Wells always was great at being the foil. Man knows what his strengths as a character actor are
I was at Wizardworld Philly years ago and was covering celebrity row for my newspaper, I passed Vernon’s table and didn’t recognize him at first. Then I saw his Wez photos he was autographing, I involuntarily yelled “omigod! I love you!” He laughed and to this day, he’s the only celebrity I ever paid for an autograph and photo with. He was awesome.
Man let me just say, my wife and I just moved to Ecuador on Thursday and I must thank you for this interview/video. What a Saturday gift, even in another country!
I met him and worked with him for the first time on Sunday (as an extra), he's a very nice man too!
What a nice guy. It's no wonder he keeps working. He's even more charismatic now.
That was really cool I appreciate that I was cool I was able to watch that I love Vernon Wells he’s a great villain and he’s great another films as well
Dammit RedEye, we already love you, man. Now you go and score an interview with Vernon Wells? Keep this up and I'll have to adopt you.
Hahahahaha papa?
Such an iconic actor. Two of my favorite roles are his Road Warrior character and Commando. Hope you do some more of these! Rae Dawn Chong is on Twitter. Maybe you could convince her into doing an interview.
That's a great idea too
What an absolute legend. Anyone who doubts that did not grow up in the 80s.
Looking back at this man's career is just one long series of "wait, that was him too?" moments.
Thank you sir, for being an awesome dude!
I was reminded of one of my old favorite 80s movies, the other day, and it starred Vernon Wells, Weird Science!
Vernon Wells rules. Commando, Mad Max II and Innerspace are some of my favorite movies. Fortress is also fun.
Dude! Redeye is the best one man show in underground pop culture today.
Aww thank you friend
40mnt videos... What sorcery is this?
Gotta watch this with my trusty brunch food. Indomie goreng ❤️❤️❤️
mate, i really enjoy these interviews, this guy is a legend.
Thank you! I'm glad you like them
That was absolutely delightful. I had no idea he was still working!
Glad “shrimp on the Barbie” came up. Film from my childhood I think is mostly forgotten. was hoping for “innerspace” but didn’t dream Barbie would be discussed. Great interview. Thanks! Didn’t even recognize him in fortress 2.
This guy is a living legend!! Glad to see him doing good.
Vernon I love him in mad Max this guy is legend no matter what movie he's was in I knew I was in for one heck of a good Time also that I love interview and background on characters and lore 👍
Outstanding! Absolutely Love Vernon Wells. Thanks so much for sharing this interview with us.
So glad you liked it
Vernon Wells is a bloody legend as us Aussie would say. Much respect to this icon still working in his 70s what a legend
So glad you guys discussed Fortress. I love that movie, and Vernon is part of one of the best movie slugfests since They Live.
I remember reading a review of Fortress that said you know a movie's villains are twisted when Vernon Wells says they may have gone too far.
The Man, the Myth, the LEGEND!!
H O L Y HELL!!! I JUST MET VERNON A FEW WEEKS AGO :-O THIS IS GONNA BE SO AWESOME. CONGRATULATIONS REDEYE!!!!!
I like Vernon Wells, he's smaaart. Also awesome. Turns out I've seen him in more movies than I thought I had. I'd forgotten inner space. He should be in Extraction 2 as Tyler's dad, that would be awesome. Take note, Netflix.
Welcome back!
That was an amazing interview! Vernon Wells seems like a down to earth person . There were movies I didn’t know he made and now I’ll be checking them out .
Thank you! It was a ton of fun getting to chat with him
I don't even remember my coworkers names from a year ago. His recall of costars and the crew is really impressive considering these movies came out 40 years ago.
Vernon Wells is one of the very best! Commando is a treasure! You scored a big win here sir. This is a huge one. Congratulations. You're killing it man! Killing it!
Thank you so much! He's a legend indeed
I'm guessing Titus Paar helped you get this interview with Vernon Wells, no wonder these two are freinds, extremely talented artists but class acts offscreen it seems that they take their work but not themselves too seriously, I'm a big fan of both and so happy you are back doing videos, we missed you brother.🤟
He did indeed! And you are totally right. Both are class acts. Very friendly and super engaging
Aw thanks baby ❤️
@@tituspaar You rock Titus! 😂🤟 Hey I hear Steven Seagal wants you to direct his next movie Hard to stand.😎
@@kungfew1396 think I already did that one, since the thing he said after everytime I explained a scen was ”I think I’ll sit down in this one Titus”
@@tituspaar The broken chair budget must have been insane. 😆
You are really exceptional at interviewing. You allow the person to say what they want and go where they want only steering the conversation when a story or statement has concluded. Vernon is such a good ambassador not just for the film industry but he really embodies what being an Australian is. Laid back, easy going but don't ever mistake it for any kind of softness or weakness. I grew up in a lot of the era where the films he was in were either cult or becoming cult classics and I look forward to seeing what else he puts out in the next few years. Your channel is great and you are deserving of the opportunities that have come your way.
Great work Redeye!!!
I've always loved this guy in Commando and Weird Science. I have to check out more of his movies.
Awesome! Thank you for doing this!
This was amazing, so many great stories. Glad to see that Vernon is still loving what he does.
That was a crazy good video! Thanks mate
This made my day, thank you !
Glad you managed to get this interview, i grew up on movies featuring Vernon so this is a treat for sure!
Well done sir! Excellent interview.
Way to go! Thanks to both of you for sharing.
Hope 'The Expendables Four' was one of his job's. Great actor and great guy. Thanks for the chance to see the man. Still love the voice.
OMG! This is SO freakin cool! Fantastic job. It was an awesome watch :)
Such a great interview! That dude rules.
Sweeeeeet! glad your back...hope you enjoyed the break!
Literally just finished watching your Commando review haha. Good timing
What a Great Interview. As an Aussie, im proud to have Vernon do us proud in Hollywood. Great work RedEye, keep up the awesome content and keep smashing out old school action. Peace.
Thanks friend! So glad you liked it :)
@@RedEyeReviews I love your channel
@@shadowwarrior7218 thank you so much! I'm glad you get some enjoyment from it :)
Thank you very much for that interview! It was very nice to see how humble he is, and still going strong in his 70s 😄
Such a treasure box of characters!! Thank you for actually doing these!💪🏼🙏🏼
This is wonderful. I'm sharing this with all my movie-fan buddies. Including my good friend who went as Bennett on Halloween one year. Thank you Vernon!
Our Plesure Sir..Great work Dude.:)
Amazing interview your ask and let him answer some what unusual nowadays, plus I grew up with his movies and such a humble good man and amazing actor so I thank you again relatively new to your channel and I think I now seen nearly all you uploads keep up the amazing work
I did not know that he was in mad max 2. That's awesome.
fantastic thank you
That must of been awsome for you dude, picked a good one for your first interview
Damn good interview bro!!
Hell Yeah! What a treat!
That was an amazing interview, what a refreshing concept of letting the artist finish a sentence. I truly enjoyed this
This is fantastic.
What a wonderful interview. Vernon is one of those actors that when I see they are in a movie, I know that movie is something worth watching.
That was great! Thank you for that RedEye. And I was wondering if you would bring up Shrimp on the barbie. I love that movie, but most people have never heard of it. Great interview. Good job. That was so cool.
Another great interview. We get are getting closer to the man himself Steven Segal.
Absolutely epic! Love Vernon Wells and he has so many excellent roles left in him. Thank you so much for this, I've been really enjoying your reviews since I found them a few months ago. You are a funny dude.
DAMN!! Nice one Redeye! Can't believe I missed this one the day it came out (I guess I was waiting for more Lawman Cartman videos and this slipped by me lol). Seriously, a second great interview man. Keep up the great content. And yeah, what a pleasant, down to earth guy. I NEED to track down that bear hunter movie and give that a watch.
I've been looking forward to this and it didn't disappoint! It's so cool that you got to do these interviews - they add another dimension to your channel that you so rarely see in YT movie channels.
Aww thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it
Haha! I’m so glad you got to ask him about doing a Shrimp On the Barbie 2! (I wanna say I suggested that question, but dammit if I ain’t remembering wrong or if that wasn’t a different time in my life that has clouded my memory!)
But hey. I hope all is well and I am glad to see you’re still at it. You deserve all the best success and I did try to aid you in that when I was involved.
Tim
Cheers!
I think it was your question suggestion! Yeah he was a ton of fun to interview.
Hope all is well in your life my friend :) thanks for stopping back in!
Awesome!
thanks for the video
Of course!
That was fantastic
DAMN, I loved power Rangers when I was a kid and loved that movie, even the newer ones.. He did a great job as Ransik... Great interview, great guy.. thanks again buddy.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it friend
@@RedEyeReviews I always do buddy. I know it's not easy and it takes long to finish a video. Some people actually think it's a easy job, they just see the final/finished product and forget it takes time and effort. Most of us understand that but, unfortunately some don't. I will say it everytime, thanks for all the great content and hard work you put in, just to keep us entertained... Thank you so very much. I wish I can do more for you then just hitting the like button and giving you views..... But, I don't have a credit card. When I was young I had so much debt cause I had a great job and promised myself that when I get out of debt I will never get a credit card or a loan ever again. I didn't. I have NO debt and only pay $650 for rent and $40 for my prepaid cell. My Credit Sucks but, I'm debt free. Sorry, I almost forgot why I'm even telling you this. Haha. Have a great day.
Welcome back
Congrats on this amazing interview, RedEye! I don't know how to put this into any other words besides saying Awesome!!!
Thank you so much!
Wow can't believe you got a interview with Vernon Wells! going places and doing things that big channels cant even do! nice man why you the best!
Aww thank you so much! It was a ton of fun getting to chat with him
The mighty Wez sleeps sitting up and immediately springs into action when he wakes.
What a great interview. I didn't realize all the movies he is in! I will say he is more iconic due to the road warrior. As soon as I think of road warrior it is always WEZ.
Welcome back buddy. Hope you had a good break, fast I know. I love your content and all your hard work to keep us entertained. Wish nothing but the best for you and your family. Much love and respect... Great interview...
Aww thank you so much. That's very kind of you. It was a great break. We got to see some family that we haven't seen in awhile. So it was very nice
Vernon Wells is all man.
Met him back in 2010 ( pretty sure it was 2010) at a convention in Philadelphia. He was a really cool guy to talk to. Very funny and chill. So glad he’s still keeping busy and still awesome!
Good to see him let off some steam on redeye reviews
Amazing interview! And thank you for asking my question :)
Thank you! Of course!
THAT WAS LOVELY AS SHIT! I adore Innerspace. Thanks, Vernon, for all your excellent work!!!!
Plughead is such a good, gooood villain :) Congratulations on the interview!
Great actor! Loved him in mad max!
Amazing interview.
So glad you liked it
@@RedEyeReviews I as a huge Mad Max fan loved the insight on "Wez". I loved that take and hadn't thought about him in that way. Honestly it was a huge travesty the death of his character I would have loved to seen him track Max down for revenge.
What a chance you got mate. Great interview. This dude is totally a 80s action icon . He look really open and friendly almost likes he's been knowing you all his life.👍😁
He really is a very friendly guy
I always liked Bennet because he had a realistic build for a career merc. Arnold was still built like Mr. Universe, no soldier who actually worked for a living would be that toned. Bennet was buff but functional.
Yet another good interview Vernon sounds like a cool fun guy very personable. It's nice when you get a guy who is happy to chat and not full of himself as most so called celebs are
He really seems like the kind of guy you could go and have a drink with and have a fun evening
I sat in on a Q and A in Oklahoma City a few years back with Vernon Wells. I concur with your comments on what a nice guy he is. He stayed and chatted with a lot of us fans after as well. The story he told of his first look at himself after he got into full Wez character had the whole room laughing.
Redeye this is an amazing interview! Thank you for taking the time to dig into the mind of this amazing human being. When I met him I stayed in character for the most part, it just how I roll. He played along and that made my day, month, year and LIFE ♡ Wez said he would relay my foolish message to Lord Humungus 😂 He is truly a legend and inspiration for my apocalyptic future
@Jonathan Harrison i retired from double dank dingo films 30 years ago..around the time I started working in the Marsupial masturdbation industry. I met Vernon at a ComicCon when I was working as a trained circus monkey who lost his wings in a tragic Jetpack accident near LAX. Tragically he didn't remember that time I drove by him in traffic and thought to myself who the heck actually eats kangaroo..then I got myself a kangaroo burger because I was hungry after fluffing pillows for some trysexual purn star named Jonathan HairyAss
@Jonathan Harrison i know Lord Humungus through the toilet paper black market..he is a real prick wien it comes to bartering for four ply quilted tp
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I could imagine meeting him at a convention is a whole other experience. That's so cool you got to meet him too
Oh damn, you got the man himself
I didn’t know Bennett and Wez were the same actor!
Oh John I feel good!!!
This guy is awesome
Legendary 😎👌
Gonna let off some steam with this vid
Commando is awesome
Woohooo
