Hi Matt! I just found you and enjoyed listening to your introduction. I am a new Catholic of about 3 years and I love my religion. It's more that a religion, but a life style. I am 60, divorced and without my church and friends and the different outlets ( such as you and Father Mike), I would be very lost indeed. I really feel at home here in the Catholic faith. I just ordered some beads to pray the Jesus prayer more often and to keep me connected to walk the faith as God would want me to. Seven things I love, hmmmm 1) singing ( spend far too much time on The Voice app and watching it); 2) Coffee (anyone who knows me knows I'm truly addicted to this spring of life); 3) my children/grandchildren (they are part me after all lol); 4) my new car (haven't had one so young in a very very long time); 5) Divine Mercy everything (Jesus, Merciful Love, the Feast, the Chaplet, etc. I get so so excited for Divine Mercy Sunday and the promises that I have told the Lord that it is a good day to die); 6) traveling (before I got sick I really loved to travel I miss it a lot); and 7) Eucharistic Adoration (I admittedly do not go as much as I used to but I always feel so happy and peaceful afterwards). Hi Matt, Welcome!! The intro, I almost spit my coffee all over my phone lol. My Favourite things: 1. Coffee - it's amazing how this drink makes me so happy. 2. Cooking, I love cooking. I love trying new recipes. Love it! baking too! 3. My class this year. They are so caring and have grown so much in so many ways. We get through the days together with struggles,laughs and love. It's awesome. 4. My Family, I can't wait to get home to them everyday. 5. Travel.. Europe has my heart. The history and the churches ahhh.. 6. Podcast.. this is a new thing for me that I'm enjoying. 7. Jesus: He has changed the way I am and view my days. Things I love: Reading-mostly anything from romance to biographies . I remember as a child reading the backs of the cereal boxes as there wasn't anything else to read left in the house. All genres of music, except rap. Probably because what I do understand in the lyrics are profane or violent. A good hot cup of tea. I love talking to my mother listening to her stories of her youth, courtship, early marriage to my dad, places they lived etc. Just as I loved listening to my mothers' mother talk about her youth, courtship etc sitting across a quilting rack, sewing and telling stories. I love my children and grandchildren. I love the memories I made with my late husband.
Things I love: 1. God/Catholicism 2. The Korean language and culture (I'm hoping to move there in a few years) 3. Music 4. Dancing 5. Meeting new people and making friends 6. Admiring the beauty of nature and it's Creator 7. Learning about pretty much everything, especially Catholicism :) Very excited to see all of you're future videos!!

Here in Lebanon we drink coffee before going to bed! They also serve us coffee in restaurants after eating, even if it's 11 PM 😁

Great intro Matt! I too love coffee. On one of my first dates with now my wife, she ordered a decaffeinated coffee and I jokingly said "I'm not sure this relationship will work out." If you haven't tried Mystic Monks Coffee, you should!

I love my faith, I returned after being away for 40 years, I missed being apart of God's family, and I most definitely like this new presentation, Welcome and Bless You. So, 7 loves ... 1) My teenaged spawn, my beloved, and my family 2) coffee, not saying that to brown nose, it's essential 3) Tassie specifically, but generally anyplace that has the combination of forest and large bodies of water 4) Clive Staples Lewis and Aslan 5) The Sacred Heart of Jesus 6) my students (I teach high school) 7) the great American road trip! I love driving all day, popping into a truck stop at 10 pm, grabbing a cup of joe and talking to strangers, and then hitting the road again with oldies on Pandora.

My nerdiest joke around friends is, “there was only one elf at Helm’s Deep!” Just started the third part of the book. (Reading no. 17 and counting), and it amazes me how the story is NOTHING like the movies. The movies are good, but the books have to be read.
