Hai Andrew and Kristy .. I was almost getting Kef Q950 .. and your review just came out on this RP8000 I was comparing, made me rethink.. please give me some tips … I am 70% music 30% movie person..
I like Kristi’s take at the end. It does seem like many in the audiophile community love nothing more than to tell you why your system sucks. Kristi is right, you need to know what system is right for you and be okay with it, and damn the haters!
That's exactly why I went back to Klipsch and bought the Cornwall IVs. I said to myself, "You love Klipsch, why keep screwing around with other speakers?" Who cares if others hate them, I had to get what I love.
listened to my RP-8000f's (Piano Black!!) ....for 2yrs,......bought the RP-8000f ll .....for $1000...tax,delivered....hooked them up...never looking back....tight base...upper clarity....difference ...wow... I love the piano black....but. not important anymore....these things sound amazing......zero regrets!!.....
I’m getting Denon’s x4800 which will be better than the Sony and the Yamaha receiver. I had purchased Klipsch 600m II bookshelf speakers and their matching 600c center channel speaker and plan on Klipsch RP dipole surrounds and I had just received Klipsch 1000 10” subwoofer that’s 24” deep that all will be for my main Bedroom at 12x15 feet will have plenty of power yet I’ll be checking on Klipsch rp 800f standing reference premier speakers to replace my main Klipsch 600m II fantastic bookshelf speakers placed right on stands matching the height of my Klipsch 600c center channel speaker. Now I have been using my in ceiling speakers which are my surround speakers which I will change to Klipsch RP dipole speakers on my back wall at the matching height of my other klipsch speakers whatever and use the in ceiling surrounds which are in my cathedral ceiling speakers which come downwards facing me. So this is just my bedroom system which I’ll have a great time watching and mostly listening to the nice my 4k ultra blu ray movies on my Oppo 203 4k blu ray player along with great music while JTR Noesis 210rt speakers and a custom matching center speaker has the same 10”woofers as JTR Noesis 210rt main speakers, plus dual opposing 15” subwoofers by Seaton Sound with another enclosure with the same dual opposing 15” subwoofers which gives you more than you’d ever need.
What I love about the Mk2s is how friendly they are to your respective space. Knowing they sound great in a tight space against a wall or a big open room is very appealing. I know other speakers can do it too, but it’s comforting knowing what you’re gonna get with Klipsch
Andrew & Kristi, great video! I can't imagine how hard it was to make a comparison between the 8000F-II vs the R700. 😆 I truly appreciate what you noted about low-level listening. It is often difficult to find speakers that perform well at low-levels with intelligibility. I also appreciate Kristi's comment: "You have to know what kind of listener you are, and be OK with it." I wholeheartedly concur.
My first gen 8000s are fantastic at lower volumes... I can listen in our apartment with my wife sleeping in the neighboring room without her waking up or me feeling like I'm missing anything.
Wow, what Kristi said definitely hit different. It was like a “check yourself” moment…for me anyway. I have a 7.2.4 setup with majority of Definitive Technology speakers and recently purchased Anthem MRX 1140 (moving from a RZ50). But as you continue to watch these videos of new speakers and AVRs you are always question whether or not it’s good enough.
@@user-gs4oi1fm4l Wow. That's really good to know. I'm transiting from a studio environment to an audiophile set up that I can also use for listening, but also A/B testing masters. At certain times of the night, low level listening would be handy.
@@robo3412 Yes, I agree. That comment was a gut punch and affirmation all at the same time. 😂. It was like she was saying, "Hey. Wake up, know who you are and own it!" 😂
I just wanted to thank you, Andrew; this review opened my eyes to the Klipsch RP-8000 family, so I went and checked out a set of the RP-6000 (all that was available to demo) and was blown away. I ended up buying the RP-8060FA II (on sale for $1799.00/pr) and am just totally amazed at the clarity, definition, and power these deliver. They have brought back the joy of listening to music that I haven’t felt since being a teenager. Please keep up the good work; your honest and detailed reviews really help folks like me.
After 20 years with the Athena Technology Audition Series this past week I replaced my floor speakers with the Klipsch RP-8000F II. Even in the first hour of setting these up I could tell the 8000F II are going to be fun and rewarding to own. I wrestled for so long over whether to get the R700 or or 8000F II but in the end I think I had to recognize the fact that the older my hearing gets the less compelling a flat/neutral "audiophile speaker" is to me. Although the measurements as you showed on the 8000F is relatively flat, there is something about that Klipsch sound that I appreciate the older I get. Thanks Andrew and Kristi for being a part of the journey via your channel!
I don’t have nearly the experience with a variety of equipment like you two do. Your reviews of the Klipsch RP8000F II and of the Onkyo RZ50 hit a responsive chord in me and like I said in my post below, I ordered the receiver and the speakers. I added a Klipsch SPL 120 subwoofer. All I’ve done so far is to hook them up with my 75” Samsung TV. The sound is awesome! The clarity of the speakers is incredible. The more I listen to them, the more impressed I am. If the only person who has to like the sound of my system is me, color me pleased! Thank for sharing your insights!
I have the MK1 RP-8000F and absolutely love them. I know you two are not as much of a fan of gloss black, but I bought them in the Piano Black Lacquer finish and it is a game changer in quality and beauty! Mine are in a dedicated room so I don’t have to worry about danger of getting scratched, but my gosh, I think that finish is totally overlooked and underrated. Wish they would bring it back for MKII. Definitely gives them a genuine premium look and feel.
I purchased the Polk R 700 on a leap of faith based on 3 outstanding reviews, one of which was yours. Like you, I have a wide appreciation of different types of music. I wanted a versatile speaker that didn’t necessarily need a sub and I am not disappointed at all. So far the only system I’ve heard them with is my home theater. My amp for that system is a refurbished Carver TFM 25 which is rated 350 watts per channel at 4 ohms with the rest of the surround speakers driven by a Yamaha Aventage. For the money, the R700’s are the ones to beat due to my musical taste. My other system is a pair of Carver Amazing Platinum driven by a Sunfire 600 and Sunfire tube preamp. That system was a gift and is on another level. But, things change and my home theater system will eventually have to be my only system. Thanks for all you knowledge and advice.
I just wanted to say that this video convinced me to buy a pair. Kristi's reaction is what sold me. She's so straight to the point 😅. I found an open box for less than $700. Thank you. You also earned a subscriber
You made me buy a set of RP8000F MkII. So pleased with it. Note: Beyond the obvious quality of the channel content, I'm amazed how good the videos look and sound (Bokeh/Dof, lighting/exp and voice spec.), Just made with love. Useful and very pleasant to watch. Please keep up.
I'm so glad you are happy with your 8000s and thank you so much for the kind words and support. We really appreciate when anyone recognizes our efforts! We hope to see you on Sunday morning for our next video!
Im getting mine tomorrow afternoon ! Cant wait and after this on point and awesome review im sure i wont be disappointed ! Good quality work ! Thanks for your your reviews it really helps make a decision ! And makes u feel better about it !
I was on the fence about buying the 8000f ll at first, after watching this video I decided to pull the trigger and order them. I’ve been living with them for just over a month now and I could not be more happier with them, they are everything you said they are. Bass is tight and vocals are CLEAR and sparkle, some of the most fun speakers I’ve ever heard. Thank you for your great reviews and videos! And for anyone thinking of getting a pair I highly recommend them. Running them on a Denon DRA-800H receiver.
@@MasterofPlay7if you are referring to Erin's audio corner for bass extension with his measurements they do measure light on the extension but in room they are pretty flat to about 40hz I'm not sure how he even got f3 of 67hz no matter what I did I've never seen it so high I took measurements after measurements and it never went about 45hz on f3 that 45hz was dead center in my room which is 16x32
Guys you have knocked another one out of the ballpark! Your review really drew me in. I didn’t want it to end. I’m not in the market for another speaker, but if I were, this would be top of the list. Gotta say, your enthusiasm is infectious. Keep up the excellent work. Much appreciated
I have the R700s and love them; also auditioned Klipsch before buying. My view is if you are a serious 2 channel (ie music) listener and have a high powered decent amplifier and large room, the R700s are the best. Klipsch are more sensitive and brighter so better for lesser amps and dialogue/movies and low volume listening (built in loudness!)
@@MasterofPlay7 The Klipsch sound bright and forward with enhanced detail, not cold. They may be a bit tiring for prolonged listening. The Polks sound accurate and not as spectacular as the Klipsch, but excellent detail, midrange and bass and never tiring. Need more powerful amp than Klipsch though.
@@sydsacks9097 so dose it mean it includes all the hard edges like in the midrange or what you called dynamic? What about the top end? Does it have a tinkling/metallic feel?
@@sydsacks9097 yea I used to speakers that are more laid-back/ mellow, I found forwarded midrange kind of too analytical/digital sounding for my liking
Thanks for the review. A new world was opened for me when I switched from B&W to Klipsch a few years back. For a metalhead there is no better speaker brand imho. I bought the RF7 MKIIIs last year, pretty much an endgame purchase for me.
Thanks to you, in part, we did get a pair of the RP-8000F speakers about 2 years ago (thankfully, in piano black). Absolutely love them! They are enjoyed by themselves for most of our listening; however, we kick on the Klipsch subwoofer when watching movies or listening to music at spirited levels. With that said, I often think that I left the sub on, and when I go to flip the switch, I find that it is already in the off position. That just reinforces the point that they really do produce enough low-end for low to mid level listening. For those with the series 2 on their short list... as a series 1 owner, I say go for it. Now begins my quest to replace my 23 year old Yamaha, so I'll be watching a lot more "Andrew Robinson" reviews. God bless and please keep the content flowing. Edit: These are listened to in a 2.1 setup for all purposes. Decided to ditch 5.1 and are all the happier for it.
I don't know why, but I really dig the wife's input. For me, she sold these speakers with her first few sentences... "Sold!". Ordering now. On sale for $600 each. 5-2-24 Running these now without an external amp in a 5.2.4 system with the RZ50... Sounds great!
I own the 8000F II and have been very happy with them, driven by an Onkyo RZ50 in a simple 3.1 setup tuned with Dirac Live, and an RP-404C center. I think a big plus is how easy they are to drive, Klipsch have always been an efficient speaker, they are great both quiet and loud, and no issues with noise floor. I don't think I need an amp until I add more channels. In pure stereo, I found the speakers are very good as well but adding the sub does add a little something extra, so I usually listen to music in "stereo" mode which adds the sub. You will definitely want a sub for a full home theater experience to get the full LFE experience (e.g. Top Gun Maverick was amazing!). The biggest downside is they are quite big, so you need a big room, and of course you need to happy with the look and finish. Long time watcher of the channel, thanks for reviewing these, I made my decision on these in part to your review of the v1 product (and your review of the RZ50 as well).
I suspect I would go with the Klipsch given my love of a more live sound. I also think I could be happy with the R700s in a heartbeat. Was really happy to see this review. I had just finished a hike and was back for a late breakfast. Your video popped up in notifications. And I thoroughly enjoyed it. The comparison portion of your videos is definitely appreciated and makes the reviews along with Kristi's insights.
Thank you for talking about how close you could place the speakers to the wall before sound was degraded. Super helpful! Please keep doing this in future reviews!
You can do a lot of stuff but you just move the problems (peaks & cancellations). With a dsp you can solve a lot of this problems so a placement in corners (subs) or speakers closer to the wall isnt such a big deal, you can minimize the Problems with it. Genelec has some great guides how you can place speakers
I recently purchased both the RP-600 ll and the RP-8000F ll, so I am using money to vote for my favorites. Both were purchased as Black Friday specials and I am over the Moon with the value proposition.
Great stuff! Agree w kristi that they could add some better finish options. The RP series should get at least a couple more options than the more budget friendly reference series
I waited years to purchase a home audio speaker, got the MK I. The II’s came out like 4 weeks after purchase, and I was able to make the swap (and get a free 15” sub). I enjoyed the mk I; the II’s did sound more refined while being a ton of fun. Me and my wife enjoy listening to record after record on these things every single night. Weekend movies are fantastic as well w/ Marantz sr 6015.
Went with R700 based on previous review and am super happy. Love the substantial bottom end and overall neutrality. All I hear is the music and not the speaker. My enjoyment with other speakers depended a lot on the recording or type of music.
Great review and comparison, I really appreciated the way you included subjectivity in the discussion. Having bought the Polk R700s, actually before your initial review, your description of them was spot on. For me, I get listening fatigue quite easily and quickly, so the Polks are perfection for my purposes. I have to say that I sought that higher end sparkle when I was much younger, and could see myself possibly going for the Klipsch back then. But I’m a very happy man in the here and now with the Polks. Great video guys!
I'm over 40 now, and most of the jobs I've had in my life were either in construction or in an industrial setting. The top end of my hearing isn't as "crisp" as it used to be. I'd probably find myself gravitating to the Klipsch for the added vocal clarity. Plus I like the sound of my RP600's. That said, I've only heard the R700 as a demo in an audio shop. I haven't had a chance to listen to the XT F100, but have owned earlier products in the Motion series line and was reasonable satisfied with their sound. How would you say the 8000F II compare to a heritage series Klipsch, like the current Forte's?
As always, great review. I bought my RP-8000F December 2020 after listening to your original review. I love them. Being retired with a fixed income, the price was right. I’m keeping my RP-8000F. For music listening I set my Yamaha to Pure Direct, no sub. For 5.1 home theater, the Klipsch with the sub sure keep me happy.
So here's my take honestly I've been using Klipsch legendary series 1974. I had the cornwall's I had the Forte's and the beloved rock-hard heresies. But when I spent a weekend with the Klipsch rp-8000f Mark 2s the setup was a nine-point to channel f8000 Mark to Bonanza. Along with a pair of SVS subs in a very large room.. I chose to purchase an even number of the Klipsch RP f8000 Mark 2.. I really don't want to say how many but enough to fill a room that's forty feet long 30 ft wide width 11 ft ceilings.. play rock the house back and forth like a boat on bouncing in the waves on the ocean. Can't say much more😊😊😊😊😊😊
I have the Reference R-600FA and so far I’m enjoying them; I have come to know them, I imagine jumping to the RP’s, specially with bigger woofers the sound will be considerably better, but I had a budget to work it. My R-600’s have introduced me to the hobby of listening to music, which I appreciate it and channels like this one keep me motivated in to learning and admiring sound.
I just bought the RP-8060FA’s last week. Connected to my Marantz Cinema 60 and my Emotiva XPA2 Gen 2, I can honestly say that I’m blown away by the clarity, low-end presence, and imaging of the Klipsch. Although I do use a monolith sub for my Atmos configuration, I prefer to use the Pure Direct mode option and bypass the sub and additional processing for music. I was using B&W 602s2’s for the last 20 years, so I’m obviously blown away with these floorstanders. If Klipsch actually made noticeable improvements with the Gen II’s over my now beloved Gen I 8060 (8000F), may God bless them. LOL I can’t imagine anything sounding better at this price-point!
@@traviswieser The 8000 gen I is overall warmer sounding with a darker tone in the voice. 8000 Gen II is more V shaped the mid and vocals are clearer but are somewhat bright / with a boosted bass on low end. I get more fatigue listening to V shaped sound. search for rp 8000 vs rp 8000 II on youtube and you will hear the difference.
I am running the RF-83's with the matching center and surrounds and an SVS sub connected to an Integra pre-amp and outlaw audio seven channel 200W Per Channel amplifier. I have been running them for close to ten years and they still sound fantastic. Yes my system is old.
I very much appreciated the R700 comparison and conversation at the end! That was incredibly helpful for me. I’ve been eyeing the R700 because of your review, but knowing these are very close and have the Klipsch sound I LOVE, I am pumped to get my hands on them! Thank you!
WELL you guys have it easy and right on the money. For for me the R700s are just a fantastic speaker! That speaker is a stunning home run. But the slight warmer tilt makes everything I’ve heard make them some of the best. The 8000’s if you are in a theater type use are insanely fun. Do I want that year around? No. So there is only one answer that solves that problem, you have to buy both and get the best of both worlds. If you want an option for less, depending on the subwoofer you buy, Kristi nailed it. The Lumina two is a speaker that when you hear them, you will NOT forget. At 1200 bucks, you’d have to spend a lot more than that to replace that sound! Thanks Guys
Hey guys, loving this run of large versatile tower speaker reviews… two points; firstly, please talk more about low level listening ability of speakers like you did in this review… a lot of us are living in apartments or sharing town house walls with neighbors, low level listening is really important to us. Thank you, and secondly could you please, please try and review a pair of the Arendal 1723 THX speakers? I’m so about to pony up the coin for them, mostly based on Jay Iyagi’s review, but would really value your thought’s particularly in comparison to the RP8000, R700 and ML F100. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Dean, I hate to disappoint you but it's unlikely that we will review those. I'm sure they sound good as we enjoyed their 1961 series. As for the ones you've mentioned, easy decision bit.ly/3xgyXql
Way to come out swinging, taking a position, supporting it and packaging the peer comparisons. It’s these gift bags that this audio journey so rewarding

I have the 8000f mk1 and I am really happy with them. I managed to get them a year ago 30% cheaper than the current mk2 asking price. Currently not interested in upgrading and tbh I don't regret buying mk1 as I really love them
I bought my mk 1 for $958 for the pair over 2 years ago and love them. Considering you can buy the walnut finish today for $999 at Amazon, I think they are a great buy. Like you I have no interest in upgrading. Enjoy!
Would you consider anything from Emotiva or SVS as a choice to keep on your list when shopping for towers compared to the 8000f ii? Would love to give these a listen in person based on this review. I like Klipsch's path of minor improvements rather than sweeping changes.
As the anchors in my 7.4.4 home theater, I completely agree with your descriptors for movie use. The new gen Reference Premier line ALL DAY!! Dynamic, Lively....and with the usual 80hz xover point, excellent upper bass performance. I too was on the fence with these vs the Polk R700, and for my application, the sonic attributes of the 8000F II were the deciding factors. Who wants neutrality in a home theater anyways?! 😜 I would recommend the RP-504C II center if you can accommodate its size.... and queuing up John Wick to test it all out.
I got the original rp8000f and have to say I’m very happy with them. I wanted the Gen 2 but at $500 each for the 1st Gen vs $750 each for Gen 2 I thought it was better spent on a better sun for the theater. I’m blown away with the first Gen towers. I’m sure the Gen 2s are better but I’m very happy with the first gens! The detail I can hear is amazing. They are very lively and can go LOUD without distortion of any kind. Love them for my theater.
I have paired these with a NAD M33 and I use them as my party speakers. They are excellent. I tried out many other speakers including the Polk and I thought these were the best.
Have just received my 8000 II. Wow i am blown away in my small room. Driving this whit Vincent 737 and Quad Artera. Both excellent choice for Klipsch RP8000R II. Thanks for your great feedback. I love my Klipsch. 🙏👍
Been a klipsch fanboy since i picked up a pair of r820f. Holiday sale, felt like i stole em! Budget speaker that sounds great for its class. Went a little crazy, and now my 9.2 hometheater is all klipsch.
I also got a holiday deal on my r620fs and also my Jamo 803 HCS - 5 speaker set (highly reviewed by Andrew, currently $169.95) is still an awesome budget home theater system that I still love for my small house.
Got these at holiday Black Friday pricing of $639 each (30% off) and have been incredibly thrilled. I upgraded from Elac Debut B5.2 bookshelves and really appreciate the dynamics and low level performance of the Klipsch. The Elacs need to be cranked up quite a bit before they come alive. At low listening volumes, the Elac are dynamically flat.
Great review! I have a pair of both the Klipsch RP-8000Fs and the Polk R700s playing through a Denon AVR-5803 along with a Polk sub & centre. I like the neutrality of the R700s and the punch of the RP-8000s. The blend of the two is heaven to my ears. My neighbours have no sense of humour. ;-) I'm thinking about either painting the R700s white or perhaps applying a pickled oak veneer and lighter cloth to visually shrink them. Cheers 🙂
Great video! When I was researching what speakers to get, the Polk R700 was a candidate with several others, also the Klipsch RP-8000 2. I went with the R700 and I'm not disappointed at all. The higher up Marantz SR series is a great combo with them (a bit cheaper now because new Cinema series), rich detailed sound and power for the money. They rumble my soul to life every day, and my neighbours! Thanks for the guidance!
Thanks for posting your reply. It's just what I was looking for, to see what I should pair the new SR6015 Marantz with. I think I like more neutral sounding speakers, so Polk looks like the choice for me, even though my 64 year old mind still wants that old lively speaker style, the fatigue factor kicks in much sooner than the younger years.
@@royalway12 I don't think you will be disappointed. Everyone that has heard my sound get surprised with a big grin on their face, also a music producer wanted the same setup when he heard it. I now have the SR-7015 bi-amped to my R700's and it made a big improvement in depth and control. Give the R700's a couple months to soften up, I played on low volume so it took me 4-6 months for the sound to get deeper, punchier and more relaxed. Believe me when I say: you don't need a sub with these! I have a REL sub but only turn it on when watching movies on higher volumes. I like neutral sound too, and never needed to eq, pure-direct for music sounds wonderful in all genre's.
Currently on sale (sneak peak for Black Friday/ Holiday pricing) for $489 each!!! ($978 for the pair) At this price, the 8000F ii has got to be the BEST floorstanding speaker value in all of Hi-Fi. Just to put this in perspective, the Polk R700 is currently on sale for $999. This is a no brainer
@@bigspence6898 for sure. Now that we see how low the 8000F ii’s can go would wait to grab them at $978 / pair and then budget to get a decent subwoofer and still make out ahead.
@@supersportimpalass if these are hot garbage than I am in hot garbage nirvana with these speakers!!! A little parametric EQ (Roon) and these things are incredible! These pair nicely with my Ares ii DAC. Very dynamic and immersive.
If you want a 2 channel or 5-7 channel home theater speaker I think these would be great, if you mainly play rock or electronica on a 2 channel system ditto. But after giving them a listen the polks sounded better all around to me. Not to mention the Klipsch always has that signature look, v smile sound and to my eyes sub par finish. I like Klipsch and have owned a couple pairs over the decades but this is no longer the 1980's at least give us some better finishes. Thank you guys for the great review as always 👍👍.
With the RP-8000F being over twice as sensitive as the R700, the Klipsch will also work better with lower powered tube amps for more those that have tubes or may want to have that option.
I own the 8000f 2's . First time building a dedicated room. Everything else has been out of the box systems. I am thankful for these reviews as i personally think that the system is amazing but dont have a lot to compare too. I have to agree as well on the low level listening as after 1 day i was politely asked to lower the volume by the "boss" because "the roof was blowing off" so at low low levels everything is fantastic. Thanks for the validation, as this world of speaker purchasing is insane.
So my best friend has the mark 1 and I have the mark2 I have listened to both at long lengths I bought them the day they came out they are amazing best speaker for the price I've ever heard love the Klipsch sound the original is great too but these are more defined and they sound to me like the highs are just right 👍 love your reviews buddy keep it up one of the best on UA-cam for sure always on point 🤘
Hello, Andrew and Kristi. Good morning. I have just purchased a pair of Kliptch R-820 F. I've always wanted a pair of Kliptch. Can't wait to hear them through my SX 950 or 1050, but I expect they will perform as I think they would. Thanks for the channel.
Andrew, just another perfect review ! I just love the fact that you can review products in two different ways : Technically and emotionnally. This gave reviews so much more credibility. And the comparison with other speakers like the R700 is just the icing of the cake. Just LOVE your works guys Andrew and Kristi !
Hello from Ireland. I waited many years to be in a position to afford to get into the AV world. I had fallen in love with the signature copper on black Klipsch look many years ago. Being completely new to all this, your video on the 8000F Mk1 convinced me to purchase early last year, and I love them. Unfortunately, the 2's came out not long after I purchased. However, in keeping with your motto "the only person who has to like the sound of your system is you", and I have no interest in chasing the dragon, I will not be running out to upgrade. I now have the RF7III's and RC64III up front and the 8000's are now my rear surrounds with 6000F's on the sides. For now everything is running on a Denon AVC X8500HA. Would something like an Emotiva XPA DR3 for the LCR be of any benefit. From what I read, the RF7's and RC64, while very sensitive, seem to do better with more power. Any thoughts? Many thanks for a for all you hard work.
Thanks Andrew and Kristi, love the video as usual. As a former owner of the original 8000F, I can say they do have such a special sound that makes vocals really pop. They deliver far above their price range with nearly any receiver due to their insane sensitivity. My dream pick would be the Paradigm Founder which after hearing Paradigm nearly 20 years ago, I never forgot that experience. I’d love to hear your opinion on the Paradigm line if they ever send demos.
I love mine , I also have the older 8000 in piano gloss that I said to my self I will sell the old one but I cant they are all so good . There is just something about two 8s with a horn on top that just does it .
I took the value plunge and got the 8060fa (atmos version of 8000s), and I LOVE THEM. To me for being my first home theater tower speaker, the mkII’s didn’t seem worth it in price for minor improvements (though I’m sure they were welcomed). The range, punch, and clarity of the 8060fa is outstanding. I would take the polks if I mainly listened to music, but for both music and movies I’ll stick with the Klipsch. Mine are paired with the OG rp504c and rp600m’s with a Sony STR-DN1080.
I'm using the Klipsch RP 8000 f mark 2 in a 9.4 channel surround sound system so the whole system is of the tower speakers with exception of height and rear which consists of the 600 m 2... The sound and the sonics from this setup are absolutely the best really nice nice and clear and clean and busy just what you need for a large room.. mini mini audio files will tell you for a 7 channel or nine channel or a 13 channel surfing you must be using the same exact speaker for each channel to give you the best possible Sonic you could expect
@jeffcarbello9115 I love my 8000fs but I wouldn't tell my dad to swap his KLF-20s for them... if taken care of those things have a mid range and build quality that is harder to find by klipsch at that price point today and they possess a heritage of their own. The KLF center is much better than anything in the RP line.
Outstanding review Andrew and Kristi, been waiting for this since the RP-8000II came out, I was on the edge of my seat the whole video, If I'm being greedy, I'd love to know your take on these vs Monitor Audio Silver Gen 7, knowing you guys, I bet you'd love the Silver's finish on the Klipsch, also the first quarter of 2023 reviews are so far like spamming home runs. Love you both.
Seems like a good honest review.. I work late and a LOT of my use is late so as to not upset the neighbors I usually use headphones but I'm all-in for easier low level dialog and details.. I'm ready for a set of these. Recently bought the bookshelf RP500m's and stuck them in the living room for couple days... convinced now !! I WANT the towers now. Thanks for the really detailed reviews !! Both you and Kristi bring up very good examples points.
I haven’t heard the Mk2 yet, but I’ve had the Mk1 in my house for a while before. They’re a great speaker, and the value is unbeatable. It’s not my type of speaker, it’s too big for my room, and I very much am a 3-way speaker kinda guy. That being said, it’s still an awesome piece and if Mk2 is this much better, I think they’ve got a value king right there. Maybe more brands should really take note, rather then accuse Klipsch of some witchcraft and stuff. Awesome conversation at the end and video as usual!
To the point: The Rotel A12 Mk II is an excellent pairing with the RP-8000F IIs. The story: Bought a pair of RP-8000F II floor standers on sale from a local retailer a few months back, after seeing this review among others. They were demo'd using a Cambridge Audio CXA61. The combination sounded great, but not quite there. My biggest critique was that the CXA61 didn't seem to have quite the control of the bass that I wanted. But, after comparing the 8000Fs to about a half dozen other speakers, including the 6000Fs, I brought them home. For a few months I've been listening to the 8000Fs using my old 35w Hitachi receiver from the late-70s/early-80s. They still sounded great but, of course, not as good as I'd heard with the CXA61. So I've been looking for something to replace the Hitachi in our family room. I just picked up a refurbished Rotel A12 Mk II at a great price. (quite a bit less than a grand) And THERE IT IS!! (Midwest translation: And Bob's your uncle!) The Rotel / Klipsch combination is excellent, to my ears. The dynamic Klipsch sound still is there. Sound stage and imaging is among the best that I've heard (in my limited experience), especially with the Rotel in Tone Bypass mode. And the A12 has the tight bass control that the CXA61 was missing. I'm very happy with the 8000Fs without a subwoofer. I'm using them for 2-channel audio and for movies. I've found that both Andrew's and Kristi's comments are spot on, especially regarding dialog coming through clearly even while other things are going on in a movie, and also with them being great at low volume. I've heard some reviewers say that Klipsch's speakers are good for rock, but not so much for classical or jazz. That's not what I'm finding with this combination. Listening to the London Philharmonic, it sounds like I'm in the balcony hearing the sound of the hall as well as the instruments laid out in space in front of me. The most subtle, subdued notes come through clearly even when sandwiched between transitions to/from loud passages. And Herbie Hancock, Charlie Parker, and Miles Davis are coming through very naturally as well, with a texture to the instruments as well as the sound of the room. The different snap of various drum skins, the grittiness of a bow being pulled across violin strings, the pluck of a finger on an upright bass string, the raspiness of a horn all are there. Live recordings in a jazz club make me want to light up a cigar and pour some bourbon. If I turn off the tone bypass and adjust the bass or treble settings, the sound becomes more forward and loses a bit of that ambience. But with the tone bypass on, it's sublime. For reference, our family room is about 26' by 20.5'. It's not nearly an "audiophile room". The speakers are about 10' apart in the midst of one long wall, and I'm about 10' from them. The backs of the towers are only about 6" from the wall. About half of one of the long walls is full-height windows. There are a lot of hard surfaces. There are two open doors, one in the midst of each short wall. And over my right shoulder is an open stairway going upstairs. The towers are barely toed in. They're certainly not pointing at me. The loudest I've had the A12 has been the 73 setting, which was LOUD! (The volume control goes to 96.) So I'm guessing that an A10 or A11 would work just as well for volume, but I don't know whether the bass would be as tight. (I haven't heard them; so I don't know.) I'm sure there are better sounding hifi rigs. But for how little I've spent, this is pretty sweet. The combination sounds even better than I hoped it would. I'm very impressed. Andrew & Kristi, thanks much for this as well as your other content! Much appreciated.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Hey there Andrew. I'm responding to you about a comment about the Klipsch Rf-7 Ills they are still the King of the Reference line. Maybe they don't need a lV designation since all the other one's in that line seem to be trying to be what they are. You love Klipschs speaker. I LOVE KLIPSCH SPEAKERS 🔊. I was listening to Diana Krall the other night in the dark I thought she was in the room! And thats from my new OSD audio AMP300. Give Godzilla a chance! The Japanese did. Hey love the channel you and kristy keep up the good work. Until the next review be good.
I've had several of the dual 8" Klipsch speakers. Generally, they seem to have the same basic curve: a bump in the bass, dip at the crossover, and a dip at 16k hz. All three of these result in a dark, somewhere muddy sound. Tackle these 3 things and you'll have a real winner.
Crutchfield is still offering the rp 280fs at 750.00 a pair for open box and 600.00 a pair for scratch and dent. The 280s go a little deeper and are a little bit larger than the 8000s. I got my pair for 600.00 and I can't imagine a better value anywhere.
I had Klipsch r625’s and an rp 504 center. The R700 and R700 blow them away in clarity and overall sound. The R400 center is much better than the rp504 center for the same or less money especially for my room.
Have the 280f, listened extensively to the 8000f and the 8000f II's as well... The refinement between each generation has been stellar and I have loved the improvements to the sound. My only gripe is the finish as well... Theyre just not good. I think the original rp line finishes looked nicer
I bought my first Klipsch rp-500m II speakers. I saw your review and decided to try them. I was surprised by the sound of these speakers, especially the strength and tone of the drums, it's an instrument that I like. Good job Klipsch.
I got the 8000f's about 3 months before they released the new RP line and I felt like if I'd known they were coming out I would have waited, and started feeling like I was missing out on the new and now I'm stuck with the old. But when you did the review on the 600m Il you said something like you wouldn't just get rid of the previous gen just yet, there's not a night and day difference between the two and because I also have the RP 600 it made me feel a little better and when I added the basX 3 to the 8000's I now feel satisfied with my purchase and can live with them for now. Even after looking at the review of the 8000 Il, I got a little spark of upgradeitis, I think I'm ok for now with my previous RP line. Thanks for the review, I'm always looking forward for the next one.
Great review as ever. I've not listened to many Klipsch speakers but from listening to your various reviews, I started looking on Facebook market place and managed to pick up a pair of RP-280FA's and a 450c for £800. I do believe I got myself a bargain. I love the sound. Best speakers I've ever had. I need some rears but I need a new receiver first as my ancient Yamaha V375 doesn't have atmos. On a plus, there is plenty of room for improvement. Every time you have a AVR review, I'm all over it. Many thanks.
LOVE you guys. Amazing review as always! Thanks to you both and your awesome reviews, my wife & I went to hear the Klipsch Cornwall and Forte speakers this week at a local HiFi dealer. Sadly, he had JUST sold his La Scalas so no dice on hearing those. Sad face. He had us listen to the Cornwalls first (prob a sales ploy), and we both instantly fell in love. I mean we were GOBSMACKED! We instinctively danced together right there in the middle of his sales floor. And we truly felt like we were at a live, intimate concert. It's been 3 days and I still wake up thinking about that Cornwall sound, and I can't wipe this damn smile they gave me off my face. Kristi, I know you like the Fortes better, but to us those sounded nearly identical just with more bass (we're both not big fans of lots of bass), but the Fortes had a noticeably smaller sound (sorry!). Like what they are... a smaller, skinnier Forte. For the small (relative) price increase to Forte, I'd pick Cornwalls 10/10 even though they are HUGE in physical size. The Cornwalls cost a lot more on an absolute basis, but not relatively much more, and for us they'd be an end game speaker. You guys totally made the right choice imo going Cornwall over Forte, although I'm not the one moving yours weekly. :) My questions for both of you include: how close due the RP-8000F II's come to your Cornwalls or the Fortes Kristi likes better? As a %, do the RP-8000F II's get you 80% there? Would the near $4-5k saved be worth it with the RP-8000F IIs vs. the Klipch Heritage line? Will the RP-8000F IIs put a similar smile on my face like the Heritage line is capable of?
I think the 8000Fs could totally make someone happy. I know Kristi prefers the 8000s to the Cornwalls but you may feel differently. I still maintain that the sweet spot in the Heritage line is the Fortes. It sounds like you know what you really want and I think you should trust your instincts and your experience with the Cornwalls. Thanks so much for supporting the channel with your Super Thanks!
@@andrewrobinsonreviews I shared your response with Lauren and she said “that’s a great answer!” I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for inspiring me to bring her into this crazy hobby. Before kids, date nights ended with music listening and lots of talking. Hoping to bring that back into our lives. The Cornwalls we both fell in love with might just be the ticket. Thanks again not only for responding so thoughtfully, but for everything you both do and stand for.
Couple years ago I was a classic Never Klipsch guy but out of the blue bought the Heresy IV’s . Best move I’ve made in this hobby. Yeah I still have Focals , LS/35a and many others. I’ll die with these Heresy’s.
I would love to see a behind the scenes video of how you guys put together a review. Video of listening sessions, editing, B-roll filming, and how much work and time goes into a 20 minute review.
In terms of using these speakers for music only, do you recommend the Klipsch 8000f II or the Polk R700’s? My living room measures 30 feet by 10 feet. The speakers would be facing towards the shorter wall. Also, how much of an improvement would these speakers be over my Jamo 809’s? Thanks!
Happy Sunday. I was waiting for this review. I own the 6000f’s and love them. Yes I have a sub to compliment the bass and it is awesome. With a very slight toe in, these towers are great. I should have gotten the 8000f’s only for some added bass if I was not using a sub. The new crossover is more refined and should present music and movies better. Kristi I agree with you regarding Klispch finish options. I guess Klispch are taking baby steps with their finishes. If there is anyone they will listen to is, hopefully it will be you guys. 👍🏾
After listening to your review a few times, I decided to play with my RP-8000F mk 1 position. I had them about 16” away from the wall toed in so they pointed straight at my sitting position. I moved them closer to the back wall and as you suggested for the mk 2 changed the toe in so each face to the sides of my head, not straight at me. Wow. Big difference. Much better imaging and soundstage when listening to stereo music (pure direct). Played Yosi Horikawa Spaces album, very loud! In the track Crossings, though the trucks were going to run over me. Amazing. Always learn something from you. Thanks.
I have the rp-8000f original with the gr-research crossover upgrade and they took the originals to the next level. The cymbals which were muted now sparkle. I can't wait to hear the rp-8000II's to hear the comparison. From what I read and hear from excellent reviews such as this one the 2's are phenomenal right from the factory.
@@roccofilippi1418 Yeah he completely replaces the network, converts it to a 2.5-way speaker, and flattens out the response. I think the kit also has you completely replace the cabinet damping material. It’s pretty expensive, but if you’ve already got the speakers, it’s definitely cheaper than replacing them. I thought about doing the upgrade to my 280f towers, but I decided to replace them in the end.
Speaker of the year 2022 and 2023: Fyne Vintage Classic XII. Once you hear them, you're in highend heaven. Now I just have to win the lottery..... Until then, I will buy the 8000F II. And thank you for another great review. 😊
Whew -you're not wrong. The horns on these are like lasers. When angled in, I absolutely thought my center was playing and checked it like 3 times. So pointing each to the outside seats was a marked improvement. I use min 90% for movies and 10% for music. Pretty happy with them. DIRAC was a huge improvement as was EQ adjustment to suit my taste. Also upgraded to the RP-504C II center (which is huge and required some creative wall mounting).
😆😆 @ the frequency response zoom in zoom out joke. As for the QOTD, even though I haven't heard either, I'd probably vote for the Polk R700 and here's why. The Klipsch are fantastic, but after owning Klipsch myself the comparison I would make is this....the Klipsch are like the hot date you are looking forward to going out on when you're first together, honeymoon phase of the relationship. The Polk R700 is the one you settle down with, want to live day to day with, and spend your life with. The Klipsch sound is SO FUN, but I find my ears a little tired after about an hour. With the rolled off tweeter, the Polk I imagine is going to have me keep pressing play on my music longer so I'd give it the nod. 👍 Great video!
Appreciate you weighing in and you're not wrong about the longevity and ease of the Polk listening experience. In our room though, the Klipsch aren't as bad or as bright as they may be in others. Toe-in and distance to the speaker do play a role in the "brightness" factor.
Thanks! That answers my question as to my RP-280FA's as that is the first in this line and they have improved and refined a lot since. Oh well, have to save up my disposable for a new pair. I pick these by the bye as I have 11 speakers I am driving without separates so they have to be easy!
Meanwhile, the audiophile nerds will completely rip anything klipsch and make you question buying them like a filthy causal. I own these speakers but don’t even like to tell people because it seems like anyone who is into home audio knocks klipsch as a poor man’s entry level garbage speaker designed for the masses who don’t understand audio. The beats headphones of speakers it seems. I don’t know what to believe anymore.
Believe your ears! We have a pair of the series 1, and I have yet to hear a friends set-up that impresses me like these do. Oh, and they feel the same way, just not to the point of dropping cash to replace what ultimately still sounds phenomenal.
Larger tractrix horn = lower crossover frequency: 1750 vs. 1630 Hz. Crossing the speakers in front of the listening posistion (extreme toe-in) will improve the stability of the imaging a lot. Great speaker!!
I have been patiently waiting for this review. I am always thrilled when you give such a positive review of something that I own. It is a bonus that Kristi liked them so much. I have a pair of Forte I that I truly love for music, but I find myself more often switching back to the 8000F II for an all around listening experience. Thanks for what you do. Your channel is my reference. One more thing… please review the RSL Speedwoofer II. An insane value for a very good sub, but your opinion of it would carry a lot of weight.
This review makes me happy to hear, b/c I get a sense from "HT community/other forums" that sometimes Klipsch is denigrated as unrefined or lacking something. You're telling me they knock it out of the park and I won't break my budget doing it, yay. I am literally weeks away from pulling trigger on the 6000f2's and hearing this review validates that I will be getting some great speakers and won't have regret. My HT/living room has a couple layout challenges, so I'm also happy the RPs can handle being moved around. (Will be used with a sub and Klipsch 500c2 center). Thank you, thank you!
I'm not sure why Klipsch gets a bad rap. Are they perfect? No (I can argue few, if any, speakers are). But the performance they provide at price they're sold for, they're very hard to beat.
The Martin Logan XT F100 and the KEF R11 Meta costs around 6500 Euro in Germany. The Klipsch RP-8000F II cost 1500 Euro. So the price difference is more than 4 times higher for a pair. I really thought about getting the R11 Meta, which i know are the better speaker for sure, but in a good acoustically treated room, i really don't know if its worth paying more than 4 times the amount compared to the Klipsch.
My guess is you can take what we've noted here with the 8000F II and subtract just a bit of bass which in turn may make the upper midrange and treble seem slightly more pronounced --if I had to make an educated guess as to the 6000's performance.
Awesome review Andrew.. No one conveys the details and nuances like you do and you always paint a great picture in my mind as to what the speaker sounds like.. And I have to say mate I love hearing Kristi's thoughts at the end as she always brings a fresh perspective and delivers it in such a way I could listen to her for ages.. The the icing on the cake so to speak! Thanks for all your hard work..
I own the RP-600M and I bought the RP-600M II to check out. I feel the MK II does sound betterish -> less cabinet resinence at higher volumes with bass heavy music. If someone were to ask me should I buy the MK II over the old MK I, I would say yes get the MKII when on sale!!! I sent back the MKII because I subjectively felt they were so close and provide a great similar fun sound and I personally was not looking for refinement. The MKII sound awesome! The price has dropped on them a lot and now they are a great deal at $450. I just looked as of today 2/26/23 and they are back up to $750 =/ Wait until they go onsale!
Oh my #$$#!@, you guys are soo good. Sorry just had to comment, you guys are so much better than anybody else at Hifi reviews, it's not even close!!! So thorough, so relevant, just muh!!!!
Have you considered reviewing any of the Zu speakers? I've seen other reviewers rave about them, but no one else covers the breadth of considerations (appearance, amplifier matching, placement, flexibility) that Y'all do, and it would be great to hear your take. It seems like they have a very live sound, like you talk about with Klipsch, and would be right up your alley.
There are a couple things I want to say here. First, a thank you. I was never a fan of the Klipsch visual aesthetic. But your continued reviews of Klipsch got into my blood. I wanted to hear that “live” sound. That the musicians were right in front of me. I already own Monitor Audio Gold 200s which are detail monsters but don’t have that live sound. So I decided to get the budget RP-600 mk2 after your review. I’m still paying for it so it’s not yet delivered. But a thank you anyway. I’m looking forward to it. Secondly, what are your thoughts on The Last of Us TV show. I mean you’ve mentioned the game like a million times already. I played the original game on PS3 many times over so much that it started to make me really depressed because it really is the most harrowing story ever brought to a video game. I had to stop though I loved every minute of it. I couldn’t even approach the second game to play. If the “Clickers” aren’t bad enough, it’s the “Bloaters” who I find absolutely horrific. I had to find a guy on UA-cam who had put all the cutscenes of Part 2 together into a 10 hour video that I watched in one day. OMG! Anyway, your thoughts on the show??? No spoilers here….❤

Hai Andrew and Kristy .. I was almost getting Kef Q950 .. and your review just came out on this RP8000 I was comparing, made me rethink.. please give me some tips …
I am 70% music 30% movie person..
Thanks for a great review. How does it compare soundwise to the Tekton Double Impact?
You should review the 500c vs the 504c with these.
I got the Klipsch F300 towers for $318 a pair, delivered. I added 2 SVS subwoofers. So for just over a grand I'm in audio heaven.
I like Kristi’s take at the end. It does seem like many in the audiophile community love nothing more than to tell you why your system sucks. Kristi is right, you need to know what system is right for you and be okay with it, and damn the haters!
To hell with the haters.
That's exactly why I went back to Klipsch and bought the Cornwall IVs. I said to myself, "You love Klipsch, why keep screwing around with other speakers?" Who cares if others hate them, I had to get what I love.
LOL . Hate the haters .
listened to my RP-8000f's (Piano Black!!) ....for 2yrs,......bought the RP-8000f ll .....for $1000...tax,delivered....hooked them up...never looking back....tight base...upper clarity....difference ...wow...
I love the piano black....but. not important anymore....these things sound amazing......zero regrets!!.....
What amp/setup are you running? im trying to upgrade from a set of old RP260s hooked up to Marantz cinema 70s.
@@ArashReviews Denon AVR x4700h
I have a Yamaha A8A…OMG 😮. Sounds frickin amazeballz, lively, punchy, energetic….music is so much more fun to listen to.
🙌
Andrew & Kristi, great video! I can't imagine how hard it was to make a comparison between the 8000F-II vs the R700. 😆 I truly appreciate what you noted about low-level listening. It is often difficult to find speakers that perform well at low-levels with intelligibility. I also appreciate Kristi's comment: "You have to know what kind of listener you are, and be OK with it." I wholeheartedly concur.
😍
Same here. Love my R700s, but was heavily tempted on the Klipsch. Main reason was no sub in my setup. Still no sub in my setup and loving it.
I just wanted to say that this video convinced me to buy a pair. Kristi's reaction is what sold me. She's so straight to the point 😅.
I found an open box for less than $700. Thank you.

What would you suggest for the surround speakers if you have the RP8000F Mark II In the front?
I was on the fence about buying the 8000f ll at first, after watching this video I decided to pull the trigger and order them. I’ve been living with them for just over a month now and I could not be more happier with them, they are everything you said they are. Bass is tight and vocals are CLEAR and sparkle, some of the most fun speakers I’ve ever heard. Thank you for your great reviews and videos! And for anyone thinking of getting a pair I highly recommend them. Running them on a Denon DRA-800H receiver.
i heard these lacks bass extension, is it true?
Thank you, Gary!
Yea that's what worries me, does it sound cold/metallic though?
@@sydsacks9097 how's the sound stage? Is it focused or more dispersed?
Running these now without an external amp in a 5.2.4 system with the RZ50...
Long time watcher of the channel, thanks for reviewing these, I made my decision on these in part to your review of the v1 product (and your review of the RZ50 as well).
i heard these lacks bass extension, is it true?
How big of a room? I have a room over the garage with a tall ceiling.
Hope you had a good hike. Appreciate the feedback as always!
Thank you for talking about how close you could place the speakers to the wall before sound was degraded. Super helpful! Please keep doing this in future reviews!
Noted!
100% AGREE!
Hello, you said that the Klipsch RP8000F II are one of the best speakers to listen to at low volume, is this the same with the RP600M II?
Thanks !!! ❤
Appreciate you sharing! Glad you were able to upgrade to the MKII.
I think you've made the best choice for you. Thanks so much for hanging with us today.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews No worries at all, it’s always good, cheers to you both from Australia.
So glad to know you are enjoying them! Thanks for watching, Rafael.
I have the klipsch rp-280fa which is a little older... hard to tell the difference!! All good sounding speakers
LOL I can’t imagine anything sounding better at this price-point!
there's a clips of the 8000 vs 8000 II. they both sound good in different ways, depends what sound you're looking for.
@@MetalsForBrunch which one is less bright? I'm worried about ear fatigue.
@@MetalsForBrunch thanks for the info!!
Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the tip!
Does it sound cold/metallic? People are saying they are bright and analytical
1 - 10 scale, how's the bass for klipsch 8000f? Will u feel the bass?
@@crispykid09 you thinking of buying them? I heard they are bright
@MasterofPlay7 Yes and what does bright mean? I'm new to this? Lol
@@crispykid09 they have decent bass but I use them in conjunction with 2 svs pb2000 pro subs which is a lot of bass haha
Nice!
Cheers 🙂
These speakers are warm speakers that are made to rock. The more Refine talk is a non-issue. These speakers are totally made for a different party
Well Andrew said you need a Sub with the 8000F, need to factor in compared to R700 alone
@@bigspence6898 for sure. Now that we see how low the 8000F ii’s can go would wait to grab them at $978 / pair and then budget to get a decent subwoofer and still make out ahead.
They are hot garbage, don’t waste your money. Better off buying the 600M or the MKII versions and a sub you are way ahead of these.
@@supersportimpalass if these are hot garbage than I am in hot garbage nirvana with these speakers!!! A little parametric EQ (Roon) and these things are incredible! These pair nicely with my Ares ii DAC. Very dynamic and immersive.
Thanks @derekf7772, I was able to snag them days before price went back up!
How would these compare to Heresy's? Are the Heresy's worth the upgrade?
With the RP-8000F being over twice as sensitive as the R700, the Klipsch will also work better with lower powered tube amps for more those that have tubes or may want to have that option.
Klipsch being a 2 way, Polk - 3 way. Hard to make a choice (not)
I own the 8000f 2's .
Thanks for sharing!
I have the older model klipsch rp-280fa and I love them!!!
What center are you using with these? Looking to replace some aged old KLF-20 monsters for Home Theater.
(I haven't heard them; so I don't know.)
I'm sure there are better sounding hifi rigs. But for how little I've spent, this is pretty sweet. The combination sounds even better than I hoped it would. I'm very impressed.
Andrew & Kristi, thanks much for this as well as your other content! Much appreciated.
Here we go! Ive got a pair of rf7 IIIs that i adore. Probably too old to ever get a review here. But super interested to hear what you think of these!

Right on!
I also have the RF7 IIIs and would love a review
@@andrewrobinsonreviews Plsss give us a Klipsch RF7-III review! Surely there's the interest
For anyone curious, you can get those here bit.ly/3m3eaUJ currently on sale.
Same here, got mine in March 2022
If you close your eyes you won't know the difference!!!!!
I have the klipsch rp-280fa and can't tell the difference.......
You should try the RT-7ii
Good morning! Thanks for watching, Brian! Fingers crossed that one day we'll see something besides black and dark walnut in their non heritage lines.
I have 2 sets of the original ones. I would love to hear about said crossover... did it completely replace the stock one?
@@roccofilippi1418 Yeah he completely replaces the network, converts it to a 2.5-way speaker, and flattens out the response. I think the kit also has you completely replace the cabinet damping material. It’s pretty expensive, but if you’ve already got the speakers, it’s definitely cheaper than replacing them. I thought about doing the upgrade to my 280f towers, but I decided to replace them in the end.
Speaker of the year 2022 and 2023:
Fyne Vintage Classic XII.
Once you hear them, you're in highend heaven. Now I just have to win the lottery.....
Until then, I will buy the 8000F II. And thank you for another great review. 😊
just waking up.. getting a cup of coffee and ready to settle in for some Sunday morning Andrew and Kristi.
Good morning Ace!
Morning, Lonnie!
I love my klipsch RP-280FA not sure if you really notice that much of a difference all very good speakers for the price...
Who cares what they think. These are legit good. The problem is that most people think of the cheap HT in a box versions
Thanks so much for watching! We never want to disappoint anyone but we don't review subwoofers. Glad you found one you love though!
Funny that zoom out on the frequency graph!!!! I didn't like what I saw initially then ZOOM OUT FUNNY:)
Great review as usual👍🏻. Is there a chance to get review of RP6000F II from you and Kristi?
My guess is you can take what we've noted here with the 8000F II and subtract just a bit of bass which in turn may make the upper midrange and treble seem slightly more pronounced --if I had to make an educated guess as to the 6000's performance.
@@andrewrobinsonreviews thanks for your response👍🏻
brother
what amplifier?
you can stick these speakers on a headphone out on a cellphone and they play respectably
What a sweet comment. Thank you, John!!
I agree John. These two are my go to and Andrew has definitely helped me on this hifi journey. Great team!
Thank you for the review! I love my Klipsch RP series speakers for the same reasons that you two do. They sure are live and dynamic sounding.
Dang, I just love kliplch. The looks distinctive sound will always be a kliplch fan 😊 you both )) ...
Good to see you! Thanks for watching.
