The only other antibiotics I’ve had since last year have been ones for strep throat. My doctor over prescribed me antibiotics for an incurable condition that causes constant kidney infections. I first found out about superbugs when I was admitted to hospital with one. Now I am under an infectious diseases specialist and take antibiotics only when my condition becomes life threatening. If I take a particular antibiotic too much, even the hospital only, last resort ones, my bugs eventually mutate to become resistant. It takes years of not taking those antibiotics for my bugs to lose that resistance and some never do. I have been told it is only a matter of time until eventually one of my infections becomes incurable by antibiotics so please take this news story seriously. Only take antibiotics when absolutely necessary and keep away from doctors who over prescribe.

On one hand, you shouldn't say don't use antibiotics because people can die. Also, conspiracy groups like anti-vaccines groups may use this to boost their egos by saying not to use any medicines.
On the other hand, over using antibiotics is just as bad.

Medicines have a set amount of time before the patent expires, after it expires anyone can make the drug. Therefore most pharmaceutical companies aren't too willing to invest massive amounts into finding a new antibiotic because they won't recoup the R & D costs before the patent expires (unless they charge massive amounts of money per dose). The easiest answer to the antibiotic crisis then, is to remove the patent expiry, that way companies will invest in the R & D for a new antibiotic and it will be profitable. Sorry for the big paragraph.

In my country, people die because they don't have access to doctors. They worsen this by implementing legislation that limits the use of antibiotics because of the same logic. Now only those who can afford to pay for doctors can use antiviral, antibiotics, antiprotozoal, antihelmetics, and antifungal. Our particular problem is access to these medicines and not over use. We had some problems with drug resistant TBs but the solution (many years ago) was education and a massive information campaign and not really limiting the use of antibiotics. Now, the legislation is hurting those affected by the disease. People are skipping their antibiotics which also increases the chance of DRTB.

The most common issue seen at the doctor's office for women is the UTI. I used to get UTIs often. You are automatically given an antibiotic for a UTI. So for women a couple ways to prevent UTIs(no..not cranberry pills/juice this was actually proven through studies to be useless) are to never hold your pee because bacteria grows and doesn't get flushed out thus causing a UTI and drink water to flush bacteria out. I have actually felt like I might have a UTI and chugged a tonne of baking soda and water and eventually flushed it out. The main symptom is feeling like you need to go pee- so give your body some water to flush that bacteria out. But obviously if you don't catch it early it's extremely uncomfortable so just try to prevent them.

So, the people that are denouncing this problem are at the same time part of the problem. They are so blinded that they don't want to act upon the knowledge they are imparting. The acknowledge that this would require an overall change and that everyone has to adapt, but they are unwilling to make the change themselves...
Because that's the biggest issue vegans have to deal with. We are presenting a possible solution to our problems, but people immediately dismiss it for any excuse possible. Is it a perfect solution? Well, in today's scheme of things it is not, as people tend to use animal products everywhere, exactly as the video points out. But in a vegan world, animal products wouldn't be allowed or used minimally, as that is the idea behind veganism.
The problem is not bacteria. The problem is human behavior. Our reluctance to change. Our ego.
