There is beauty in simplifying all areas of life. What are ways in which you simplify your life?
Pausing before responding to requests Intentionally scheduling for freedom from chaos
At 77 I realize that I'm not going to live the 40 more years it will take me to use all I have and am now donating things to the local charity shops that raise funds for the Hospice program in town. They are in for a bonanza! Having moved 3 times in the last 15 years, and downsizing each time, there's still plenty left to go around! I am working on slowing down, and it takes me longer that the average person to "git'er done", well, so be it! If I want to sit down with a good book or have a friend over for coffee, I just do it. A nap, why not! I am making even this process as calming and stressless as possible.
Glad I found you after 54 years Ray and I are living a more simple life. We have just what we need. We live in a tiny senior apartment with two coat closets Only.and we have plenty of room amazing the freedom
I realized that the power is within me to choose slow living over the superficial rapid-fire lifestyle that would appear to others that I am productive, therefore successful. That outward appearance of my happiness or success to others just doesn't matter to me anymore and I feel lighter for it. You just speak it so eloquently...
Personally I had to give up gambling and save more, invest more and life has been happier 💗🙏
That's quite impressive of you, stay strong, finding that balance between saving and investing can be tough also, consider professional assistance.
Yeah I totally agree with you, navigating the financial and digital markets in this recession indeed needs expert guidance. The volatility and sentiments.
Honestly this cannot be overemphasized, helping people mitigate unforseen circumstances and mistakes, that's why I leverage aid in my investments too, for a more lucrative endeavor
Certainly and productivity is optimized, keeping up to date analysis and strategies make for more profitable investments. My colleague hired Manny khoshbin's advisor, Chris Ryan Stewart and resigned few years after he got in
Hi it's me again from Goderich. It bothers me that most people do not see how wasteful, damaging, and distracting
social media is. I do not use it. I never have. Most people are addicted to their phones. You seem like a really nice
person. I will forward some of your video's to Marjorie Talor Green.
Peace for the world.
Your skin is absolutely beautiful!!!! Your complexion is flawless.
I wish I had heard you years ago, but we are all a work in progress. And I need to do less negative self talk! YES, minimalism is SO Freeing & Liberating❣️
Hi Connie, I enjoyed your thoughts on " complaining." Looking back, it has never helped me either. Love your very authentic videos.
Thank you so much!
3 Cs. I will not criticize, condemn or complain
Thank you Connie! I always look forward to your videos and the wisdom within.
Thank You, Connie 😊🫂
Thank you Connie. Great words of wisdom!
I love this! A lovely reminder of what I ought to do on a daily basis, as I know it makes me feel better. Yes, time is precious..
Thank you for all these reminders! ❤
Thank you so much for this video which rang so true. I will revisit this talk as I simplify my living.
Thank you Connie for these powerful reminders about slowing down and refocusing. You’re videos have helped me immensely. Thank you ! I’m wishing you well here from France, where I’ve lived for 25 years after leaving San Francisco.
Connie I loved this. I watched it at a perfect time. Complaining over things I have no power in is a lightbulb moment. The phrase of getting it off your chest doesn’t really help you move on like it suggests.
As always I love the locations you film in. Safe travels ❤
Love the content of your videos Connie , and above all , your sweet face and calming voice ! Thank you 🙏🏼🌹
Great list! Thank you!
I am on the same journey, it's wonderful.
Beautiful video Connie!
I’m so happy to see you are still playing your ukulele. ❤️😞😋
This is a really good list and a great video. I needed this content today. Thank you.
Many thanks for sharing. I have been spring cleaning, decluttering and donating in preparation to downsize. Therefore simplifying my life. I stopped going out at night and am eating out less. It is a work in progress to change my spending habits but watching you tube on simplifying lifestyle and frugal living helps to inspire and motivate to make the changes for the better .
Thank you Connie. I enjoy listening to you. Regards from Colombia 🎉.
For me your videos have become a form of 'letting go', and i love it ❤

Thank you! Cheers!
We love you❤
,Amy good ideas. You see, to live alone, so dance to the best of your own drummer. I live with a husband,, son and two grandsons. Can’t just do what I want to do. I have minimized my home as much as I can minimize it given the others in the home. My clothes do seem to add up and I have to go through it intermittently to take some clothes out to donate. Otherwise my closet gets filled up too quickly. Best wishes to you.
I like this video!
Love your videos, Connie! You are a breath of fresh air!
Thank you so much
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Just watching your channel-the pace of your speech, the choice of music, and the scenes of nature slows my mind down immediately. How do you maintain that calm when the energy around you is frantic, for instance in an airport?
ou are an incredible person
Thanks for another great video, I find your videos inspirational. Am at the early stages of my journey but I can already see the benefits.
I would like to start journaling on a daily basis, but find a blank page daunting, not sure how to start or what to write. Do you have any handy hints on how to get started please? Am guessing it will get easier with practice once I get started.😊 Thank you. 💚🙏
Love love love your videos... Are you still living nomadiclly outside of the USA... Thankyou for sharing ❤
Namase.
I really identify with your thoughts on the beauty of simplicity.❤️ I have just run across your videos and enjoying your content. I'm curious if you could share your career choices? Or share ideas for those of us who have no interest in participating in the rat race. Thank you!

My goodness, Connie. We have walked a similar path. Although, I’ve veered off said path with stuff. A work in progress. You give such personal and relatable experiences that nourish peace, health and being in the present purposefully.
From one ‘jumping flea’ ukulele player to another - thank you and wishing you Grace Celebrating Essential Adventures (GCEA 😉)! 💟🕉️
Thank you for your support!
Sending you thoughts of happiness and peace my friend
You have the most calming voice….very peaceful 😊❤️
Thank you beautiful woman. You.
Thankyou Always.
Thank you for all of your great content. I suffer from insomnia and have been thinking of implementing meditation to help cut down on the intrusive thoughts I have when trying to sleep. I am now going to start practicing meditation, even if it is just a short while.
Meditation when you can’t sleep often help you to fall asleep. It certainly works for me.
@@paddymurphy-oconnor8255 no, I have not, but I may consider. Some people have good results.
@@elainefell5638 I definitely am going to start meditation.
The notification for this video was a digital distraction for me this morning 😂
❤
love your bracelets...where did you get those?
They are from an artist I saw in Spain. Here is his info @naturalwomanjewelry
Do you go back to the US in between trips to Europe?
❤❤❤❤
This is an excellent body of work. I read a related book that was ground-breaking for me. "A Life Unplugged: Reclaiming Reality in a Digital Age" by Theodore Blaze

Do you get lonely? I love your videos and have adopted some of your practices, but sometimes the "quiet" is maddening. Thoughts?
Good question. I think we all have times of loneliness, even when we are surrounded by people. I have always cherished silence. I find that in the silence I'm more calm, connected and peaceful.
See You next Blue Moon in the year 2037 !

Connie, with all respect, is your decision of minimizing by living with your children making their lives simpler? Adding people to our environment, no matter how much we love them can be exhausting. Wishing a lovely day.
Where did she say she lives with her kids? I missed that part
Hi Claudia, Because we respect our children's boundaries, my husband and I do not live with our grown children. When visiting, we rent a home near them, allowing all of us to enjoy each others company without intruding.
happiness & peace
Thanks Connie-- I'm relieved because my Mom did that and it really turned our schedule upside down. I love your website, by the way. @@ConnieRiet
Thank you for your help by your videos....not easy to put aside toxic people especially when it deals with my spouse that has an addiction to alcohol....I still love her ...we have been 40 years together but she doesn't want to get help....not an easy task to deal with this....
Thanks so much dear Connie, so refreshing and i love your outlook
❤😁🇧🇷🇧🇷
Do Minimalist vote or concern themselves with politics? Not a silly question, just curious. Thank you
I'm a minimalist and I concern myself with politics. Living intentionally and with less only made me more empathetic to how the world and its citizens are impacted by politics. Minimalism made me more conscious and willing to stand up for oppressed groups and also encouraged me to start donating to causes because I no longer waste money on things that I don't need.
There are so many minimalists out there with very different views, it would not make sense to make any generalizations about individual politics.
I do, because how the country is run, very directly impacts my mental health.
Nope and nope. Politic is nothing but lies, nothing to be concerned with, and best completely avoided. As for voting, if the authorities thought it made a difference it be illegal. If one believes their vote has any impact whatsoever,,one is 100% delusional!
I do, if I don’t educate myself how can I vote intelligently.
Today's wish is tomorrow's trash
Grated cheese is processed Connie. I love your message, but sometimes I see stuff in your videos that doesn't match your words, peace sister
Was that worth bringing up when 90% of what most Americans eat everyday is processed crap? Stop being ridiculous and nitpicking this woman's very helpful video.
She might of grated it herself! Just saying.
Thank you Connie. Great words of wisdom!
