I ride an older 300 and suffer from hands going numb plus I'm getting old, the Mako 360 is not cheap and I was hesitant to spend that much on a clamp that was making claims that other clamp manufacturers were making and coming up way short, I can honestly say Lance's product is everything he claims it is and more, it helped so much with my hands that it was hard for me to believe, he was also very helpful with making sure I got a setup that would work with my Scotts triple clamp, very personal service and he's got a great sense of humor, the Mako 360 is some of the best money I've ever spent on my bike, worth every penny and more, I haven't tried them yet but I've heard his foot pegs are also excellent.
Hello Rob: Glad the Mako helped with your hand issue. We keep them in stock, several of us use them, we also have excellent customer service and we'll try to match Lance's sense of humor. Ha!
Hello: Sorry, I have not gotten to that video yet. There is no problem installing Flexx bars with the Mako. Flexx bars install like all other bars, very easily.
The Shark Bite center piece clamps on the bar and does not allow rotation. We have pads for them but I don't use them. If my chest is on the bar mount, I have bigger issues of concern.
Jeff, I’ve been considering a tall seat because I have longer legs. Are there any drawbacks to a tall seat? Obviously center of gravity would be a bit higher when riding seated
To me it's either A or B... A: In slow terrain, you find yourself regularly tipping the bike over, and/ or frequently ride in areas where the ground is not always predictable enough to catch yourself before falling? Then i'd say keep the lower seat until either of those situations change. I'd rather you be safer than more comfortable... Otherwise its... B: you don't regularly tip the bike over or ride in dangerous terrain... get the taller seat, it's significantly more comfortable than the stock seat for KTM. If you have the extra money and want a bit more comfort, get the Seat Concepts... Otherwise, I bought the EE seat for around $100 and it was so worth it for me to help me get back into riding and develop the proper habit of standing. I'd say it's 80 or 90% as comfortable as the more expensive Seat Concepts seat... but a fraction of the price and still solves my problem. But i'll even argue that with a properly sized seat height for a tall guy, it is no longer taking so much out of the tall rider each time they change from sit to stand. Letting me ride further before getting tired. For reference I'm 6'4" with 36" inseam length. I run the EE Tall firm seat and it's a huge improvement for me over both stock and seat concepts LOW. I sat on both the EE Firm and EE soft and couldnt' tell a difference, so i picked firm.
Hello Tom: I'm 6'3" and a 34" inseam. On my 300s I use a standard height Seat Concepts slavensracing.com/shop/complete-comfort-seat-for-ktm-by-seat-concepts/ for days that I'm riding tight stuff or bushwacking. On easier rides I use a Seat Concepts tall for more comfort and an easier transition from sitting to standing. If you want a happy butt, go for the Seat Concepts. If your on a tight budget, the EE seats slavensracing.com/shop/comfort-seat-ktm-husaberg/ are more comfortable than O.E.M. but not in the same league as Seat Concepts. Recommendation: If you change to a 1/2" taller seat you should raise the bars a similar amount to keep the ergos correct.
Yes, Pro Taper ACF slavensracing.com/shop/acf-carbon-fiber-handlebars-by-protaper/. I use 15mm risers slavensracing.com/shop/mako-handlebar-riser-kit-by-xc-gear/ because I often use a tall seat.
@@slaverace1 I understand. I normally ride with PHDS but I rode a bike with the MAKO360 for 3 days this past weekend. It is hard for me to distinguish the difference without riding them back to back on the same terrain.

Did you ever get a set of flexx bars to fit with these? you've mentioned on a few videos that you were going to try it. Looking for thoughts
Hello:
Sorry, I have not gotten to that video yet. There is no problem installing Flexx bars with the Mako. Flexx bars install like all other bars, very easily.
Jeff, you installed the Shark Bite backwards. The + needs to be towards the front of the bike.
I ride backwards, ha! The + can go either way.
A cable guide will be nice, Mako slowly wears the cables down.
A cable guide is in the works and should be available within 60 days.
Thanks for the video. How does the Mako 360 compare to a BRP rubber mounted clamp setup?
No comparison. Mako is much better.
Have you tried lowering the pegs to get a better geometry? Always enjoy the videos. Thanks.
As soon as an aftermarket manufacture makes low pegs for the new chassis, they will be getting installed.
How does that keep handlebars from rotation?
Are you going to put so kind of soft padding above for crashes?
The Shark Bite center piece clamps on the bar and does not allow rotation. We have pads for them but I don't use them. If my chest is on the bar mount, I have bigger issues of concern.

Think mako + flexx is too much together?
I haven't tried that combo but we have several customers that use it.
Any considerations for full wrap handguards?
The Molecule Full Wraps work great with a Mako 360. slavensracing.com/shop/handguards-by-molecule-motosports/
I run the Meiko also think cable guide would be nice!!!

Hey Jeff
How tall are you? Are those the Protaper acf sx race bars. I had no idea you used risers. Might look into some.👍
He said he was 6'3" in the video.

What about a flex bar with the meiko mount?
Some guys use both.
I'd love to do that type of setup, use both flexx and mako...
Thank you for your feedback, we look forward to hearing from you...
Sincerely
👍👍
What makes it better than the PHDS?
It's far superior to that system, not even in the same league.
@@robh3267 ok but tell me how is it better?
Mike: The Mako is a much more complex system and the comfort level is way above the PHDS, that's why it is better. It's all about comfort.

What brand of hand guards are those?
