🤔 NEW HERE? 🤔
Hi! My name is Christopher Odd and I’ve been playing video games on the internet for a few years. I really enjoy a variety of games but generally lean towards games with a unique and engaging story (Bioshock, The Witcher, Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us etc), strategy/roguelike games (XCOM 2 War of the Chosen, Darkest Dungeon, etc), and RPGs (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Dragon Age, etc). Of course, I am always looking for great indie games too!

I think with Kinetic, its only possible because the ability is about transferring energy from one being to another. So the fact it began with Kinetic's brother and then 'suddenly appeared' out of nowhere for them is just a visual metaphor of the brother leaving an aspect of himself to protect their only family left because hero work is dangerous work. that's what I think anyway.
Weren't they twins? That may also have a lot to do with it.
I love R rated language for a change. You can expect in this setup to have well mannered people to be honest. Spot on.
fucking right you are!
Quite a cool dou-mission to play around with their options! Really great seeing everybody's development in their abilities. Many thanks for all the super action, Odd!!! 😁
A quick but good one. Btw, what’s going on with Mindfire’s hand in the cutscene?
Should check some of the higher level abilities. The first level of shock isn't great but it gets really good later on, especially paired with drag.
This mission was weirdly set up. I chew through the enemies so quickly, I had to deliberately leave one guy alive and kite him for like 10 turns because I still had like 5 crates left to destroy.
I love this so much
I kind-of want to see Capes 2 and if it'll become a thing similar to XCOM 2, where new capes have to fight some of the supersoldiers that assimilated e.g. Kinetic's abilities
Gamers be gaming 😎
This whole she/they thing sure is like walking on linguistic eggshells, eh?
I'm pretty sure they don't care what he calls them, so he doesn't need to be so precious.
What eggshells? correcting and moving on with the game?
@@jonnyvelocity Odd wants to sound polite to his audience, so he doesn’t want to say the wrong thing on a hot mic. He’s a nice guy in a confused modern culture. No shade on Commander Odd. It’s just the game being weird in a way where it causes this second-guessing stuttering that’s all too natural when encountering a category error like Baphomet the Red there.
@@fishd272 Correcting what mistake? The mistakes made in character design? You should clarify your reference. Surely you can’t act like a fictional character would get offended for calling it by the wrong pronoun.
@@elathiaskade7311No, but real people for who this is important might be hurt if Odd didn't at least try to get it right. It's not the fictional character he's trying not to insult. I struggle with it too, so I get where Chris is coming from.
On a related topic, I find it jarring that the bad guys in the game would go out of their way to politely refer to Kinetic as "they".
But that's another mine field that the game's writers have to navigate.
