For anyone having the same issue as myself: I spent several hours trying to figure out why I couldn't get the mod to work. I narrowed it down to the Luckfox not actually executing any code. The fix was simple once i figured that out. To fix: Open MobaXTerm and connect to your Luckfox just like in the video from the root run this command: nano /etc/pppwn/config.json in that config file I found autostart was set to false, change it to true CTRL+S to save CTRL+X to exit. Should work just fine once connected to your PS4. Hopefully this helps anyone with a similar issue.
I did this back in the day of using an ESP32-S2, I also made the BOOT button external so the cover never needed to taken off, of course never used ethernet, I wired the data and power lines direct to the USB port pads. Nice lil guide.
Just did mine today here in Canada, tiny Luckfox Pico mini B, Thanks MW, simple to follow, and of course it just works, hides away nicely inside PS4, had to run network setup once only, then every reboot its done automatically , Awesome. Keep up the great work mate.
If you cannot solder, you can use liquid wire and leave it to dry for a day. Then use hot glue to strengthen the wires to the underside of the PS4 motherboard. Super easy and since the mod chip is not movable, it is permanent. I got my liquid wire on eBay.
Not a bad approach at all, however I will say that this is one of the most simplest soldering mods out there for consoles. Anyone who’s willing to dish out +$30 for a decent soldering iron should seriously think about going through with this.

I wonder if you and some of your awesome friends can 'mix' two kind of solutions (paul jenkin 'auto goldhen on rpi' + this one) to make everything possible with one single luckfox or rpi. The USB drive with goldhen is only needed the first time you do the exploit. Then after is successful it copys goldhen to the PS4 HDD and the next time you try to jailbreak the console the USB drive is not necessary. If I'm not mistaken
Hi. Any possible way to automate the default temperature value after each jailbreak. Im using Luckfox pico b method. Everytime I have to open and close the Lapy PS4 temperature app manually.

If they have the same capacity then the simple solution is to clone the existing drive to the new one. You can use free software like HDD raw copy. If you want a fresh install then put the new drive in and download a recovery firmware for 11.00, place on USB and reinstall system software in safe mode.
If you watch the soldering part you just need mini B without anything else. Mini A dont have flash memory. You dont need that 20+ legs to put it in tiny space. Price is $8.99
There's honestly very little reason to update, every game that releases can be back ported quickly, and there's more homebrew support on 5.05. I'd personally just wait a few years to consider updating to 11.00, when the homebrew scene matures there.

Oh snap, internal is a great idea. I prefer a special offline vLan for the luckfox and a couple ps4's. Could probably throw a server nic on there for transferring games. There might even be a play over Lan option (eventually?)

Every time you turn off your ps4 you have to jailbreak it again, I would love it if there was a custom firmware to be the same as the previous consoles, but it doesn't seem to be possible, only on ps3, psp and ps vita.

I can confirm, FAT version of PS4 do work with this method, the solder point show in the picture is correct, but i can't got the usb power internal to work.
Do you need to disconnect your ethernet cable each time you boot up the system? Or does the exploit persist between reboots of the system? Also is it safe even to use the internet with this exploit on? Don't you run the risk of a store ban? I've got a modded Switch and i know on there we need to jump a lot of hoops to prevent Nintendo from blocking us, including setting up DNS blockers that block any connection to their servers, is that not necessary here?
It cannot connect to sony servers. You don’t even have to use your main account, you can use a dummy one which is what I do. I’d just download everything and transfer it over to be safe. People use custom DNS stuff to block the system update but I don’t because Goldhen has it built in now. You can use the internet but you’ll have to download custom versions of the streaming apps. To play with other people it can only be on custom servers with other jailbroken users.

I have a theory. maybe the first time you need to insert a flash drive into the console where the goldhen.bin file will be located at the root of the flash drive. Then the hacking should go through. And the goldhen.bin file is copied to the console itself. I will try to do it tomorrow. I'll tell you if it helped.
Sorry I'm pretty new to the ps4 modding scene but what's the best ps4 firmware to have atm, i got luck & bought a ps4 pro & x360 for £5 at a car boot sale, ps4 pro was on 8.5ofw so i did the 9.0cfw exploit which required a usb & internet collection to run it, is this all i need? & Are these exploits only being released because ps4's with exploitable fw are becoming rare?
Do be honest, I'd recommend you take your console to professionals who can do everything for you. The disassemble thing and attaching those wires is the most difficult part if you have no experience with soldering.

Hey my setup is based on this video (Automatically Load the PS4 9.00 Jailbreak using a Raspberry Pi) if I did the luckfox pico internal mod what would happen to the old setup? Also is there a way to integrate both or just change over to this? If you can give options in a new video that will be welcome. I like my current Raspberry Pi setup as it works on the first try almost every time. However it is not portable because it is based on a static Ip. Once I move to a place with a dynamic IP or restart the console it will not work cause it will only look for that static Ip every time. Respond at your leisure....

Internal soldering for just the JB is a pretty good indicator CFW won't be happening.
only ps3 has CFW. Even the Xbox 360 doesn't have a soft mod. It's hardware mod only and it's been more that 20 years since the console launched
