- Grail watches differ for different people, and they’re often rare and usually expensive-out of reach of the typicl collector. Here’s the story of one that ended up in my collection.

Bill, everything about this timepiece screams quality and uniqueness that only a connoisseur like yourself has the refined eye for. Great to see it found a home on your wrist👍
I guess we're all connoisseurs, FFA, since what we choose is the result of a stream of horological experiences-I enjoy seeing other's as well a my own. Take care, Bill
I'm so happy for Bill! I have been watching your channel and I keep learning about this watch and the appreciation you have for it. This timepiece is really something else. Best to you and keep up the good work!
Great watch ! Thx for sharing! 🏌🏽♂️🥃
What a great watch! Thank you for introducing us to it. I never even knew changing hand lengths was a thing watchmakers attempted 🙏
The moment I read your comment I knew what the watch would be. Such a unique complication!
Thanks Kumar! Take care, Bill
A bit of whimsy never hurts! Beautiful choice
John, I think we need all the whimsy we can get these days! Take care, Bill
Happy Birthday Bill 🥃. Congrats 🏌🏽♂️
Well done, well deserved, what a watch…. Wear it in good health, and Happy Birthday Neighbor 🎉
Congratulations! That’s a beautiful watch all around, the movement, the design, and the unique hands.
As always, a fantastic watch. Belated Happy Birthday Bill.🎉🎉🎉 Please stay healthy to provide us with more great videos.❤🌄🍀
Congratulations and happy birthday, Bill! I got to see one of those a few years ago at my local AD. So cool!
Ironically, I saw the 1780 Vardon and Stedman in a traveling show by Patek Phillip in NYC, but I hadn't seen the Ovale Pantographe until I got mine! Take care, Bill
This video really sets the tone for having achieved, the right word won't come. Can we call it a life goal? There's a quiet humility. The desire to share is front and center. Then there's that spark when he decides to jump back into the normal format of his videos -- when he becomes a teacher and etymology is the the subject at hand.
So, quiet sir, after talking about you, let me talk to you. Congratulations. Nice watch. My you wear it in good health. Oh, by the way, it wasn't the best thing on display here today.
Take care guy.
Thanks Guy! Take care, Bill
Happy to see you could finally get your grail watch! This really is a fantastic, but also a funny, a little awkward watch; really one of a kind: The movement, enamel, size and these expanding hands. I like it :)
Congratulations Bill! Thank you for sharing countless hours of knowledge with us all and I hope you enjoy your Grail!
Thanks Brandon-great service at Horology by the Sea. It's good to see the variety of Habring2 watches and affordable Independents like Paul Gerber available in your shop! Take care, Bill
Congratulations, Bill. Superb stuff! You look like a "boy in a toy shop", which is understandable and great to see. 🙂
Congrats Bill! I have seen this watch pictured many times and did not know much about it, very cool
Hey Christopher, thanks man! Happy to share the horology! Take care, Bill
Love the handset on these pieces
It is unique, HRM. Take care, Bill
Congratulations on another masterpiece Dr.! Happy late birthday! 🎊 🎉
Congratulations Bill! Gorgeous watch. Now I know why you ask me about the screws. I haven't got home yet so sorry I couldn't send you a picture. Made me have a big smile this morning!!!!!
Awesome piece! Congrats Bill. You deserve It!
Congrats Bill!!! Well done...yes, love the watch, the moving-retracbale hands and everything about it! Funky choice. I was looking at this recently. They do not come cheap, that I agree. Wear it in good health.
Thanks Ardi! Will do! Take care, Bill
So many interior angles in the movement. Simply incredible finishing.
Happy B-day! Congrats! Wow... well done!
Thanks Paul! Only took me 80 years! Take care, Bill
Congrats Bill! Nice Watch. Thanks for showing it.
Great piece and great segment. Congrats, Bill.
Great content as usual Bill, The watch arriving on your birthday is more serendipity than Irony😄🎂Happy birthday.
That’s a different looking watch, congratulations on getting a grail watch.
Such a good grab.
What an amazing birthday present Bill...even if you arranged it yourself! Always love Habring2 of course, and the Kalpa Hebdomadaire is grail status for me. Your tastes are often in tune with what I dream of. The Hebdo is a dreamy watch, and this sibling is gorgeous.
Thanks Rick! For years I've told everyone what a great watch movement the Hebdo is; but I never expected to get one. Take care, Bill
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND CONGRATULATIONS ! absolutely gorgeous and fascinating watch !
I love everything about it. 👌❤
Congratulations, I am so happy for you! I have always loved that watch, as I know you have. That is one hell of a birthday gift. Wear it in good health!
Best regards, Brian
You know Brian, after you got that Parmigiani, I had to do something! Take care, Bill😉
Happy belated Birthday Bill. Such a fascinating design. Certainly something a bit different.
That is what I call exceptional horology, amazing watch. Congrats Bill 👍🏽
you drive me nuts with these pieces man. Let me sleep well with my everyday watches man. Thank you
That's my job Anibal ... to drive you nuts! My work is done! Take care, Bill
Happy birthday Bill! I’m so happy for you! May you wear it on good health 🎉
Hey Cesar! Thanks man. Take care, Bill
The hebdomadaire movement has always been one of my personal favorites for its shape and all the sharp interior angles. I think my personal grail would be the Vianney Halter Deap Space Resonance, might take me a few hundred more years though to save up for it.
Nice addition Bill 👍
Congratulations. That’s what you call a birthday gift.
Thanks Arent! Oddly unexpected but very happy! Take care, Bill
Hi Bill. Great choice for a grail watch. 🎉 I hope to buy a parmigiani fleurier.
I hope so too Jenaro! Check out thewatchoutlet dot com for some good PF buys! Take care, Bill
Congratulations Bill, on this beautiful masterpiece from Michel Parmigiani.
Yes, Obud, it is one of Michel Parmigiani's masterpieces-impractical and loads of fun! Take care, Bill
Thank you for taking us along on the journey to this special watch. Great video.
Congratulations! Beautiful timepiece
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND CONGRATULATIONS SIR!!
Congratulations Bill, so happy for you. A beautiful timepiece, enjoy.
Congrats Bill on acquiring your grail watch, she is a beauty 😊
that white dial with the crazy unique hands goes hard
Yes Bole, they do work well together. Take care, Bill
Wow, love those hands, that is so cool
Happy Birthday Bill. Wonderful addition to your collection.
Congratulations! Great accomplishment
What a beautiful and pretty piece of art! Congratulations!
Hey Axisskin! Take care, Bill
Very neat watch, I like movements shaped to the case.
A pantograph was one of my best Christmas presents, hours of fun before digital devices were invented.
Wear it in good health.
Valvia Man, what kind of pantograph did you have? One for drawing/ writing? Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci It was for drawing , both pieces of paper had to be pinned to a board . If not secured one could get Picassoesque amusing results .
Beautiful piece! Wear it in good health.
Thanks, Henry! Take care, Bill
I remember you talking about this grail quite a few years back and I’m so, so happy for you my friend!!
Yep, Cesar, it's been on my mind for quite a while. Take care, Bill
Beautiful watch Bill. Happy Birthday. Perfect birthday present!! 🎁 I love Parmigiani and trying to find a Basica whenever I can find one I can afford.
Hi John, this one seems like a good deal: birminghamluxurywatches.com/products/parmigiani-fleurier-pershing-stainless-steel-black-42mm-automatic-men-s-watch?variant=40494607007815¤cy=USD&srsltid=AfmBOooXU2dHbvkYUX1KdHEOOhCfpjMnhA2r2AjB_KfiOZ2eqeWyPC5z6bE Take care, Bill
@@watchartsci Wow! Looks like a great deal Bill! How kind of you to send to me!! I’ll let you know how it goes!! Sincerely, John
You really need to show us how how the hands move. And the hands seem to be super fragile, like spider legs. What if these hinges get stuck? The wole concept is great but the finishing needs to be top notch for it all to work faultlessly. Do you need to oil the pivots on the hands? This is one of the most interesting watches I've seen for a long time. Thanks for sharing your passion.
A unique and beautiful timepiece. Congratulations Bill.
Hey Aamir! Thanks man! Take care, Bill
Wow, you finally pulled the trigger, this watch is the epitome of sci meets art in a watch with a tribute to the past. Congratulations Bill, really happy for you 😀
Yes, Raymond, that's the perfect way of putting it-art meets science! Take care, Bill
Beautiful purchase, Bill, congrats 😍
Thanks Cássio! Take care, Bill
Superb watch Bill!!!Congrats 😊
Thank you kindly Framton. Take care, Bill
Interesting watch I'd not seen previously. Most unboxing videos don't imply a Fedex box lol
Great watch
Best wishes with your new timepiece sir.
Thanks, Angi! Take care, Bill
Wow you finally bought the PF! I remember you talking how much you liked it
Ever since I first saw one I wanted it but I couldn't afford one. Just lucked into this one. Take care, Bill

Hey Doc Bob, thanks man! Take care, Bill
Very nice unusual
That's what I like about it too, Kurt-it's unique, unusual. Take care, Bill
I'm all for minimal packaging. I'd rather my dollar go to the watch than some useless box
Could i ask the brand of glasses youre wearing? Looks cook
Hi Boris, they're just Warby-Parker glasses. Fun ones. Take care, Bill
Lovely watch Bill, nice dial and shape , well wear!
My grail watch is a C by Romain Gauthier titanium edition bracelet. €43.582,- Euro
Obud, what a magnificent grail! You never know when everything will work out and one priced for you will come along-the good thing about Romain Gauthier is that most collectors have no idea of the horological value of his watches. Maybe one will slip through with "Obud" on it! Take care, Bill
congratulations
