Now when it comes to the weapon restriction, it only comes to effect if the hero intends to use a wrong type of weapon, as a weapon.
For example: Itsuki often carried a sword with him while doing his secret vigilante thing as a form of disguise, as people would not expect the bow hero to carry any other weapons than the bow. In the same spirit Naofumi can pick up a bladed weapon and use it as a tool say for example to cut meat for cooking or to chop firewood but if he ever tries to use it as a battlefield weapon, it gets zapped away, heck Naofumi once got zapped for trying to use a judo throw.
Zapped for using a martial art!! Those are some harsh rules.
The weapons all have the same curse series, just the access depends on the wielder. Then there's the "Blessed Series" which counteracts the curse series but only after they conquer their "curse/sin"

Hell yes bro best weapons, I would love to have the swords abilities with the spears upgrade abilities. If a smart person and not a smooth brain where to use them in the right way you can probably pull of the naval wave boss from the cal Mira arc, and it’s power
only person SMART use Sword is Ren from SAO universe (Kirito) or Levi
In the spin off it was shown that a nearly full powered hero ( had about 22 or 23 power up methods) could decimate a mountain with a single spell.

@@elijahhayter3026 late yes but all the power up methods work from the start so if any of them knew all 24 methods from the start god mode would be inabled pretty quickly. Well except noafumi since not only does he have no attack but the shield also blocks all attempts to upgrade that stat. In other words the shields a tsundere.
I’m curious, what happens when the legendary weapon is broken?
They don't really have their own power up method. The method of powering up the weapons are dependent on the weilder, as the weapons will be able to use the same powerup methods so long as the user believes it to work. They showed this near the end of season 1 in the anime.
Something this video just made me realize though, the heroes from other worlds don't have to worry about the restrictions of working together as L'arc and Therese aren't restricted in working together, or with Naofumi for that matter. Vice-versa with Naofumi and them.
I don’t think Therese has a legendary weapon. The heroes could work together,however they just won’t be able to grow or level up while near one another. But I see your point
@@linkthewrangler6906 the vassal heroes don't have the same weapon restrictions as the holy heroes. Just read the novel guys

Anime only here, I would love to see a video of all the different hero weapons, if you would.
As far as gaining experience, or not, in wave events, I see them as a sort of instance event from MMORPG games. As the heroes come in together, I think they are treated as working together and therefore wouldn't gain any experience from them.
Basically, they need to become as powerful as possible before the Wave event occurs.
It's not a matter of working together but proximity. The heroes have to be about 1Km from each other to gain exp. So during a wave if they gained that distance they'd gain exp but since they rush for the boss they can't.
you might have gotten the part about the curse series a little wrong. This is mostly speculation, even in-story, but there might be two more curse series weapon categories in Melancholy and Vainglory, though we have next to no info on it. The only info we have is that Itsuki MIGHT *also* have the curse series Vainglory bow in addition to the one we know he has.

Waves are exception to the rule of no exp gain. We've seen Naofumi gain exp in waves

The Curse series reminds me of Juggernaut Drive from Highschool DxD.

I would like to see you do a review on the first episode of Rising of the Shield Hero. I know for a fact that there are a lot of light novel & manga stuff cut out of the anime, specifically surrounding two important characters.

Since I'm new to the series here some questions I'd like answered:
1) In regards to the Spear and Sword, since they can take on various forms, why is there a Katana and Harpoon Vassal weapon she. They can just copy that form of weapon?
2) Is there any particular reason Naofumi can't have a large tower/kite shield like a heavy knight and can he not throw his shield like a disc (yes I'm thinking about Captain but still I'm curious) and why does he have virtually no access to attack power when bashing is an option or even hand to hand combat? No way to boost that?
3) Except for the Projectile Vassal Weapon, can the other Vassal weapons change form? Like an orange scythe, fan, or any of the others or do they only possess a base form and that's it?

So at the risk of sounding stupid, why can't the weapon absorb a different weapon? Like the shield hero puts a knife or a mace or a whip into the shield like he does plant, monster parts, etc.
You can put those in the weapons it's just they won't unlock those forms. Have you ever heard of a mace shield. But for the weapon forms I think there only unlocked by anything that counts as a material. Not weapons or apparel. That being said for weapon forms it has to more heavily focus on one form or the other. In the LN naofumi copies a gun shield, think steel shield with a flint lock going through it. Noafumi unlocked the ability to store a spell in the camber then fire it at a target, however it only works for his magic not someone else's.
Cardinal heroes can demote vassal heroes from their weapons...? Aultcray best be grateful Naofumi didn't know about this. Bye-bye Vassal Staff!
