That ending felt so true, the MC really is the only ‘hero’ out of the four. Everyone was against him, but he still fought for the people. He made mistakes, but he’s only human. Would love to listen to more of this.

I have seen the first season of this anime, even listening to this just reinforce my hatred toward the other heroes! Naofumi is the only true hero.

The Rising of the Shield Hero is IMO one of the very best Isekai manga/anime - love his rise from absolute nothing to greatness.
First season i agree, 2nd season tho is kinda weak if you put it next to the first one lol

Just finished s2 and tgis anime is so good
imo season 2 felt pretty too rushed, half the episodes of the 1st season and covering a good amount of material too, it felt like some things weren’t explained enough, and Spoiler: ||naofumi losing raphtalia in the midpoint of the season felt like absolute BS, no explanation why other than dumb choice for the sake of a little more fan service when they first transferred into the other realm. Originally, she was separated in to L’arc’s group, not even being in the prison in the first place. Much better explanation and no need for the stupid reason why she just charged into a dangerous situation and got separated.||
I actually cried when I first watched this anime series the pain he went through is too harsh, I had to rewatch it here because it's just too good. I can't wait for the next season, who knows when they'll release
It's already out, this is s1(end of ep11 out of 25), there's a completed s2, and there's 5 episodes of s3 so far which started in early October

Just an FIY, a heck of a lot of stuff (mostly side-stories) got axed in the transition from light novel to manga starting from Glass' world and S2 skipped maybe half of the already truncated manga material. If you liked the anime that much, you may want to read the LN for the uncut version... then again, knowing how much stuff got skipped in the manga and anime may make it difficult to appreciate S2+. S1 was great.

I forgot how much of an emotional roller coaster this series is. I need to get caught up. Season 1 is a real tear jerker. Even as he changes, I can't help but feel bad for him because we watch him struggle. Even when he begins to skyrocket, he suffers so much. It's easily overlooked because of his power, but he's actually suffering through all of that. And, despite his shattered world view, he continues working towards doing the right thing for the world that betrayed and sabotaged him from the start. Watching a good person erode even in triumph is tough.

This recap of The Rising of the Shield Hero is through Season 1 Episode 12. There is 25 episodes in the first season, 13 episodes in the second season and is supposed to have 12 episodes in the 3rd season (only 6 on crunchyroll as of November) which just dropped in the US beginning of October 2023.

You need to simplify things while narrating the story. There is no need to repeat the same thing again and again in different ways. My brain started to hurt at some point of time. This is the only video in this channel I felt like this.
