Me too! Mu hubster actually noticed and offered to buy me a parrot. I told him why? I have greys, indian ring necks, cockatoos, greens all kinds, even a crow! Lol love these creatures already and know i wont live long enough to hope to be around if you know what i mean. Lol You are right, we have cosmo and giz, and buster, and pebbles, and kiwi, and beaker and his tinkered lol
African Greys are sooooooo intelligent! You should check out Apollo. He’s an African Grey who can identify what things are, what they’re made out of (glass, metal, paper, plastic) what they’re for, he can even pinpoint which of his lovebird siblings are which.

I used to go to a small pet store many years ago to buy fish. They had a huge parrot. He was very loud! They had a problem though. The pet store was attached to their house. The parrot was their personal pet. When they closed the pet shop and brought their parrot into the house part. If they tried to leave, the bird would scream " Help me, Help me" or " where is my mom and dad, I need help". They told me the cops had been called several times by their neighbors. When the cops got there, they figured out it was the bird. The neighbors eventually found out it was the bird and the windows were open so they would just tell the bird that mom and dad would be right back. The couple didn't have any kids and actually hatched the bird. The neighbors actually found it funny in the end and the matter was all cleared up. Also, if someone was walking by and heard the bird calling for help and dialed 911, the dispatcher told them it was just the bird. I find it hilarious 😂❤
