Hello all at Gemini, I for one have all your kit, which I use a promote when I fish Saundersfoot Harbour, it always looks great when using an undressed hook, it's a tad more difficult when trying to clip down a fully loaded hook!

I saw that it could be used with the nylon inside, and the device is still working well. that would serve to use the hook from the bottom up, with the bait clip above the plumb line

These work brilliantly. Would these work at the bottom of a float rig? Want to prevent the line tangling at the top of the float during long range casts.

awesome guys, we've been waiting for a clip for larger hooks here in Aus. Now the big one.... when will the spashdown leads have the same option!!!!!????? :) thats the biggest drawback over here with the splashdowns leads.

Can you tell me what the maximum gauge of hook wire will fit in the new red splash down please? I live in NZ and we need to use quite heavy guage hooks off the beach. Many thanks, Ian

I've never used them before its all new to me, I've just got two bison travel beach rods with a Max casting weight of 4 oz for motorcycle touring and was struggling to get 3oz ejector gripper leads so I can use an oz of bait taking my rod to it's max , so from what I can make out , these will go with any lead that clips on?.. that's cool , now I've got to watch vids on tying pulley pennel rigs ... Always struggled with the paternoster and our savages tides . thanks

Does anyone use circle hooks with these clips? Are they compatible? Thanks.

Not a bad product but it would be nice if it had a swivel incorporated to save us having to add another 2 components!!!

I'm in the States. I bought $6 worth of Gemini bait clips and spent $14 on shipping! Why? - because the tackle shops here in the U.S. never heard of them.

Good clips and always seem to release the bait but clipping the leads on and off at the start and end of a fishing trip its a total pain. Any chance of sorting this problem ?.

Hi There, can somebody please explain to me if you need to use a ledger with a 2inch wire stem or can these be used with conventional breakaway leads pls. Thanks in Advance.

If you want to use big baits just connect the hook to your line with a non slip loop knot. Then clip in the loop to the bait release clip.

I seem to be different to everyone else. I think these are a great idea but I just don't get on with them. I find them really fiddly. When you have a baited hook it can be a pain getting it into the locked posi2. Also getting the lead on and off is a mission

rather than tie a solo to your rig I use a gemini link clip and clip them on that way you can make 50 rigs over the winter for the years fishing and dont have to buy so many solos ... Great product

I don't know why Gemini don't make clips that can accommodate hooks up to 10/0. I usually fish for kingfish and Jewfish so my hooks can range from 4/0-8/0. Also, the space within the hook set looks way too small to accommodate thicker or stronger hooks. It's a shame that this is such a great clip for people like myself who load their casts from the ground but it is a flawed product in size design. Gemini must have a design team that only fish for baitfish. So close yet so far to being a terrific product.

Surely they would have been better with a swivel to stop line twist
