What area you fishing? Send me a message, I can help make sure you have a good chance if you are in 8-2 and need some advice. I'll be hunting with my daughter and am bummed I had to make the choice. Best event out there.
I love your enthusiasm and taking the shot out of each other. I if I were you would try down riggers no weight on the lines = more fish. That giant weight gives. You false security that you actually have a fish on. You can stack at least2 lines on one rigger which gives you 4 down lines with no weight try it you will be hooked
You guys have so much fun out there. Hey I was wondering if you could tell me what rod holders those are on the boat? What adjustable extension is that? Where can I buy them. Thanks, Steve Woodland, Ca
What is the thing called that you have connected to the rod holder mount? It is used to keep the rod secured while traveling and a place for the lead to sit. I was told there is a left and right side. Do you know where I can buy it or order it?
I see your using the Humminbird Solix 12. Last year we got the Helix 12 Chirp Mega Si G2N. Sort of a can of worms with battery and dedicated wire from battery to unit. Then I had to move cables from anything else Humminbird thought I was getting interference. One trip to Buoy 10 could see fish on side imaging. That was the first and last time we could see fish using Si. No matter what I do see nothing like I did that one day. The rest of it seems to work fine. How do you like the unit? Do you have a Humminbird expert that installed and gave you pointers? Can't find anyone here near Newberg, Oregon to help me. I need a hands on expert to check it over and give me any pointers.
Bob, I wish I had an answer for you. Been using it for a week. I switched so I could like up my bow mount that is being installed. I'll see if we can find someone for your answer. Cameron
The Mega side imaging is really impressive when it works. Have seen some really good Snapshots for side imaging that people have posted. No other fish finder right now shows as good side imaging. Problem it works for one unit and not the next. I had to send the unit in to Humminbird twice. They are in Alabama so shipping takes time to get there and back. The turnaround once delivered was within one day.
Me I would have been handing my rod to that little guy every time. Just so he could have all the fun. I've caught a lot of fish in my day and I like to see kids have fun . He would have got my rod every time. No doubt about it.
Dam u guys tell the kid to grip high on the rod when he gits a big fish he can hurt his little back if hes not 15 to 16 he is suseptable to back injury lifting and picking heavy objects now doctors are finding that small kids have back injurys befor there backs are hardened bones are soft and most of back injurys are muscle tears help him out i injured my back when i was small and my hip
Use a smaller mesh net....so your cannon ball sinkers don't fall through the net on a botched net job....cuz it WILL happen and you'll lose some fish. Don't ask me how I know this.

We don't use those breakaways anymore, they don't work good. We just use the Shortbus Stiffy bumpers he makes.
@@AddictedFishing I checked the other Hawkins Bumpers and releases I have and they are good. Just wish I tested it before using it.

Haha i know right.

Elparquito we use a slider for our lead so that way if it does get caught in the net the fish can still run without breaking you off
People see you fighting a fish and they run there boat up on you. No respect for other people fishing.
