- Adam - who is lost on the moors after becoming separated from his school party - meets Fred, the gamekeeper. On the way back to the minibus Fred teaches him about the moorland -- the landscape, the wildlife it supports, the bird species which need protecting, the importance of sustainable management and the need to maintain a natural balance.
Think Chris Packham needs to watch this film!
i live in london but my heart beats countryside.what an absolutely beautiful video, this must be shown in every schools
what a great film . this is what the bbc should be showing
I agree with Katherine`s comments should be show in schools. Show Snowflakes what happens in real world
what the hell has this got to do with "snowflakes"
A superb film that should be mandatory viewing in schools.
what beautiful land. I love seeing how people and wildlife can coexist in this way.
as an ex keeper may I just say what a excellent way of explaining our work absolutely fabulous video
Well said Brendon
What a fantastic film, very well scripted and made .. just fantastic
🤢@3:16 Eeeewwwwww 🤨😫 Couldn’t he just point to it??? Was it really necessary to touch it?????!!!! Yucko!
Super film thank you Fred
👍🇬🇧
👍Nice film. Thanks. 💞
Fantastic these antis should watch this but then again they would rather see the red fox than red grouse or any other of the wild life that calls it there home 2nd to non
When there's more fox than grouse we don't have a fox problem, we have a damned greens/animal protector/ignorance problem. Common sense and good reasoning are fast disappearing in the halls of power world wide.
Wonderfull video and a credit to it's creators. Did not understand the structure of the Brittish moorelands and how they most probably would not exist today without management and guys like "Fred" who exercise it, until now. Thank you from Australia.
Very nice film, but you forgot to mention that the countryside is a playground for the rich.
Cracking video, should be shown in schools,👌🤗
How did this garbage end up as a recommendation?
Wherever would nature be without mankind... does he also shoot dogs on the loose with that big gun of his or just innocent foxes trying to get by. Not being a part of Fred's masterplan is rather bad, isn't it.
However, it's protecting what would otherwisely disapear soon, due to loss of habitat, so overall, one can't blame this man for what mankind is doing.
Ok, I've chances my mind. Keep up the good work, Fred.
1:19 "This is my patch" - 2,000 acres
lol fucking greedy much?
2:15 "My best friend"
Wow sounds so innocent at this point
4:24 "Where I burnt it"
Now the boy is starting to learn who the keeper really is
12:17 "Fred..why do you carry a gun?"
Avoid the question first because you know it's a slippery slope from here
14:04 Oh just an innocent trap we feed em well...
Don't tell the kid that these birds are doomed obviously
17:22 THE CONFESSION!
Omits the average annual number of birds killed during those days of hunting.
I'm glad even a kid can recognize the ultimate betrayal these keepers deliver upon these innocent grouse.
Killing 1 in 10 is a massive amount with how many birds they'd be, and that's not including everything else that's shot or burned alive.
You obviously haven't paid full attention to the work a Keeper does
And you don't ever eat meat? Tell me what are the lives of those animals like compare to these grouse?
20:17... your ignorance betrays you.
I bet you hate western capitalism and I bet you hate white people too +Bruce Hood.
Hey he's probably saving more life's than he's taking
When you speak on things you know nothing about you end up sounding stupid.
Lol.. What kind of food is cyanide Fred ... and do you feed it to those Hawks to make them strong ?? .. Yes Adam, keepers love birds of prey lol !!
Sarcastic bitch!
Yeah right, and he believes in Corvids are evil etc , don't worry he stamped those Merlin's into the heather later..
Maybe you should get a dose for yourself
