  • Today we revisit one of the first trails I ever did in Moab, Gemini Bridges. This trail is great for a newcomer to off roading and overlanding. The trail itself isn't very long but gives you a snapshot of things you'll see on harder wheeling trails in the Moab and Canyonlands area. The natural bridge at the end is a beautiful formation and a must see for anyone in the area.

    Dont let the ease of this trail fool you! The initial climb up, can be treacherous! My wife found out the hard way! Luckily, she was ok. A bit beat up, but ok.

    Outstanding as for content and presentation. I hope to be out that way for my first trip to Utah later this year in November. I'm also needing to find more info on what trails are open yet. I've heard several in that area are closed off unfortunately. Thanks for another great idea I can add to my list.

      @TremorTrails  4 місяці тому +1

      We're still fighting the closing of those trails. But the majority of them are not trails the typical first timer would probably do. You'll find way more than enough to go explore and still have trails left over after you leave.

    It's a beginner trail. Follow up with Shafer trail in Canyolands and then do Moab rim

    When going over obstacles could you more external shots like the one @5:38. I would really like to see how the Tremor articulates and deals with the terrain. I’m wanting to buy a Tremor soon. So…Thank you and keep the content coming.

      We always do our best to film outside the truck on major obstacles. It does get taxing though trying to film everything non stop for several hours out on a trail. I'll definitely keep it in mind on harder trails! Thanks for watching! IMHO You'll be hard pressed to find a better full size rig than the Tremor for Overlanding. All the best!

    Visited Moab for the first time this past April on our way to Alaska, LOVED IT! Spent six day there exploring including Gemini Bridges. Really want to go back and do some more exploring. Like you said pictures don't do it justice, you Need to Be There. When di you shoot this video? Our weather was great for visiting, upper 50's to low 60's for highs mostly sunny made it comfortable. Plus the trails were not very busy.

      Honestly, I don't remember when we filmed this. I believe it was spring. We usually try to get out there twice a year. Moab and surrounding areas have so much to offer! Thanks for watching 👀

    @5:35 that rock formation is the goonie bird and it's good luck to run over the toes of the goonie bird.😊

      I don't think I was talking about goonie. It was farther up the trail if I remember correctly :)

    Great video. Plan on visiting Moab in October for the first time and looking for beginner trails. Can you point me towards the trailhead for this one?

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  3 місяці тому

      Sure! It's super easy to get to! Leave Moab going north. You'll pass Arches National Park on right, about 4 miles up on left You'll see the sign for Gemini Bridges. Hwy 191. If you make it to Hwy 313, you went too far!

    After the trail do you have to drive the same way back? Also can a 2WD 2003 Sequioa make it?

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  3 місяці тому

      No, the trail continues to the highway. Left takes you into Canyonlands Nat Park. Right takes you back to Moab. Yes, shouldn't be an issue with the Sequoia. Just take it slow in a few spots.

    The only difficult part of that trial, I think, is shown at 8:35. You can do this in almost any stock 4x4 or AWD vehicle, in my opinion.

      I did this in the summer of 2021, downhill, in a big Audi e-tron SUV, completely stock on all season tires. Not planned either, I thought the first part (from the main road at the top) to Gemini Bridges was really easy, so I decided to continue. There was a lot of regret and many "surely I'm almost at the end now" moments, but I did manage to do the whole thing with zero damage and zero experience. Just got a lot of disapproving looks from people coming uphill 😅

    Could you suggest the best month to visit this trail.

    • @TremorTrails
      @TremorTrails  5 місяців тому +1

      Late fall is best in Moab. On Thanksgiving week. We drove right into Arches with no wait. Moab is hit and miss. Very rarely have I ever gone and not had some type of traffic on the trail with us. Gemini is a short trail that shouldn't take long to get through. So, I guess my answer would be that the best time to do this trail is when you're available to get out and enjoy it!
