Thanks for this educational video, but I still have one question. Suppose I have a 20 second video and I only want blur in my video between 8 and 12 seconds, how do I ensure that there is no blur in my video between 0 and 8 seconds and between 13 and 20 seconds?
You can cut the part that you want to apply blur to and only mask that layer (from 8 to 12 seconds as you mentioned) or you can add an adjustment layer just above the part you want to blur and mask it.
@@SmertimbaGraphics Okay, thanks for your help. but in your video I see a person walking straight towards the camera, I also want to blur people in the area, but then I have to move the blur every frame. Is that easier to solve? because that is a lot of work to apply
You can edit the mask by selecting the mask that you need in effect controls, but if it's already tracked and keyframed throughout the video, you will need to adjust it at the very first frame and then track again or adjust it at frames that you need.
This video was so helpful but I keep getting stuck with one part, not being able to MOVE the shape I made. For some reason the little hand does not appear and it just keeps moving the shape instead. Anyone have any tips?? :( Basically, I am trying to blur out a food particle for the teeth (so the object is not always on frame like explained on this video) but each time I try to move it, it doesn't let me. It thinks I want to make the shape bigger or smaller (not sure if I am making sense).
@@SmertimbaGraphics I want to move the entire mask (I have tried oval shape, square shape and even the draw-yourself shape) but only portions move instead of the whole thing. Like I had already made it into the size I wanted and placed it on top of the object I wanted to remove/blur out, but each time I try to fix it (after following the steps you show in the video) the little hand doesn't come out so it thinks I am trying to re-size the shape again :/
@@SmertimbaGraphics Thank you, I ended up just uploading the video to my UA-cam channel "Nahiely Pinky" as is. My husband said you could hardly tell either way lol I was able to successfully blur out information from my ID though!
Thanks for the run through. Unfortunately, this particular clip isn't the best example. The subject in the video lacks a change in depth and scale from the lens. The camera is tracking with the subject as he's walking, so it's not too strenuous on the AI's need to track along the X or Y axis of the frame. IS there a way to override the AI 'Tracking Method' wrench tool you showed us and use old fashion KEY FRAMES? Thanks in advance.
You can manually create mask path keyframes and adjust the mask yourself every frame or so in case if AI can't do the job properly. It will be time consuming though, you can use after effects face tracking instead for better results to be honest
@@SmertimbaGraphicsI was able to find out how to fumble with the keyframes. You're 100% correct. It works a lot better. I work in an environment where there are multiple deadlines in a day. I'll leave AE out of it for now, but good to know!
Bro, like, you have no idea how much time you've saved me. I thought I would have to manually key frame this. Not all heroes wear capes.
Glad I could help, it's even easier to do in after effects, it has a built in face tracker of some sort
Thanks for the tips, it's surprising how hard it is to do this effect with other software, I hope premiere will work for my project
Happy to help!
I was planning to do it in after effects. Glad I searched it on youtube first. Thanks a lot.
Welcome❤️
thanks
Welcome❤
Amazing. So good, so simple. Thank you very much.
This was very helpful and time saving. thanks for your content
My pleasure!♥️
Thx Bro, you save my Final exam.
Happy to help😁
What CPU do you have? My system becomes useless once I use this method. I have Nvidia 3060ti and ryzen 5 7600. It takes forever
I have ryzen 5 5600 rtx 3060 ti with 32 gb ram, seems to be doing fine
@@SmertimbaGraphics my system struggles, cpu usages goes to 100% and seems to take forever once I start the blur motion tracking
Exactly what I needed. Thank you so much!!!
Great Help ... Thanks 😇
Happy to help
Thanks 👍

thanks dude that really helps
Happy to help!✌️
thank ya
Welcome✌️
Worked. Thanks
Happy to hear that! ✌️
@@SmertimbaGraphics And again after I returned 'cause I forgot how...
Thanks, just one question, how do you change the circle mask in the middle of the the effect? Thanks
You can stop the tracking at any point and manually adjust the mask if needed
Thanks Buddy.
THANK YOU FOR THIS!
Thanks for watching ✌️
tks man
lots thanks!!!
Glad it helped!
THANKS ALOTTTT LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

If the automatic mask tracking is not working then moving the mask manually is always an option, and yeah it is a lot of work sometimes😁
thank you
Welcome ♥️
I created a new mask and now I can’t go back and edit the first one I created. Do you know how to edit each mask individually?
You can edit the mask by selecting the mask that you need in effect controls, but if it's already tracked and keyframed throughout the video, you will need to adjust it at the very first frame and then track again or adjust it at frames that you need.
The video is incomplete. How do you remove the blur for the rest of the clip?
You can add a cut point and remove the blur effect from it

Do you want to move an entire mask or just drag the corners/points individually?

I would be willing to send you my video so you can see what I mean? It's only about 3 minutes long.

I did everything you did and instead of a blur I have a black circle, how can I make it just a blur ?
Make sure you create a mask for gaussian blur and not the video layer itself
what if i have to blur multiple objects ?
You can add as many masks as needed and then add blur
hello, can you teach me how to blur object in a specific time?
You can remove the keyframes up until the point where you need to blur the object. Then just leave the keyframes at the time you want to add blur
@@SmertimbaGraphics I understand, thank you!

How come I don't see my mask in my effect panel
Are you sure you've selected the right layer when masking
@SmertimbaGraphics yes, I can see the gausian blur but I don't see the mass tools
