Thank you for this video! I just started playing this game after searching for something that would scratch the same itch that Stardew Valley does and I'm enjoying it but have been feeling lost and overwhelmed due to the size and amount of content! This was very helpful!
Ive been looking for a game like stardew valley without any form of energy, or the need to sleep. I dont feel like its very "cozy" to have any kinda of timer. Knowing this has an "invincible" option makes me so happy :') Thanks. Definitely buying it. Ive been looking this game up for an hour and you certainly helped
Stardew Valley is more forgiving in terms of passing out at sleep time though. In Stardew, you pass out at 2 am, no items lost and lost money is capped at 1000. It's safe to pass out inside your own house. But boy in Sunhaven, don't ever pass out at 12 am. Money penalty is percentage based. You will still get punished for passing out inside your own house.
Rune Factory 4 is also good. You can sleep but you dont really have to. It's just to restore stamina, but there's easy ways to refill stamina and the worst that can happen is you sometimes lose cash.
The reason I chose Sun Haven as one of my favorite cozy games to stream and play is because it's so forgiving. Most farming games usually have a time limit, so many restrictions and sometimes force you to follow the plot right away or miss an important interaction. Only time that happens in Sun Haven is when you get a quest from the Help Board. It really is a good time and I just can't reccomend it enough!
I bought Sun Haven as soon as it came out, and I never got into it in the early stages. But recently I gave it another chance and I’m hooked! I’m having so much fun with it, and it’s exactly my cup of tea (since I’m the kind of person who modded my Stardew to feel more ‘magical’ and I adore fantasy). I’ve been looking at the invincibility toggle, and for some reason I’ve been so self conscious about the idea of clicking it even though I know literally nobody cares if I do. Combat stresses me out like crazy, and it’s the one thing I don’t super enjoy doing, this made me come to terms with the fact that instead of grinding for hours trying to get my level up and suffering, I’m allowed to just make it easier and more fun for myself :)
Actually ended up grabbing Sun Haven after watching one of your vids and have been absolutely loving it. Just got to Nel'Vari 2 days ago and I am in love with the entire area. Thanks for all the videos 🖤
I'm in year 3 now, and I mostly only grow crops on my Sun Haven farm. I grow the Nel'vari & Withergate crops using the totems. I do have some of the elemental fruits growing on my Nel'vari farm, but like you said, I leave them unharvested to get to goodies.
yeah- i've been sleeping on the museum cause it's so inconvenient to go there and then figure out what item goes where cause I haven't memorized all the different items yet.
I'm really glad I found your channel! I bought Sun Haven years ago and didn't vibe with it super well, but watching your tips got me super into the game and I truly value the experience, thanks so much!
Thanks for this! After getting my steam deck for Christmas Sun Haven was the first game I got but after about ten hours I was just so overwhelmed and I kept dying lmao. I’m going to try again and change some setting and take my time
I just downloaded this game today and this was the first video i watched and THANK YOU!!! I will be following and watching all your videos going forward!
Just started playing this a week ago and I am enjoying it so much! Thanks to your video I am creating a new character and playing smarter. :) Mods are fun, I just wish there was more.
oh okay- I didn't know it was guilt free/polyamorous on dating multiple people. I married one already and then another character was like "you wanna go on a date"- and I'm over here just sweating. hahaha.
i was waiting for the stardew valley update and wanted a similar cozy game to play in the mean time. i ended up getting sucked into this game and i havent even touched stardew since the update dropped, oops. but to be fair, sun haven has settings and quality of life upgrades that make me want to play it more. like the tools not breaking on me, or not having to worry about running out of energy. i also really like the way the chests and inventory system work. i love the style too, and how customizable literally everything can be. and the fantasy setting!! 10/10. but i have now reached the point where i'm feeling like i need tips on how to progress more efficiently because it feels like i'm missing a lot of important info. videos like these are super helpful. i hope this game gets bigger because it deserves more hype.
Thanks for the tips! I think this game is way better than Stardew Valley, which I played about 100 hours of. It just feels 'happier' and chill. Love it!
Just got into this game. Thank you for your incredible helpful videos. For a short moment i was confused that Melody Cristea is playing sun haven though. The similarity at first glance was a bit baffling :')
yeah, when I got the 2nd and 3rd farms- i was like "nah.. im not planting on here yet." well wither gate I started cause there's a "debt" you are suppose to pay back. so planted the most profitable crop ( based on my noob calculations ) just to start making some tickets back.
Thank you for these videos! I’ve watched a good handful and will probably watch the rest! Just started my first play through I’m so excited! I wish there were public lobbies though, none of my friends want to play it lol
oh sh*t! I didn't know about the getting the seed from a dead crop trick! that's neat. haha- I ran into a weird situation on a playthrough where I did the grape quest- I didn't water all the crops- the next day it rained. so it watered all the crops. but 40 of the watered crops didn't count towards the quest. so I harvested them, but couldn't progress unless I bought 4500 gold worth of seeds. Now that I'm more experienced, that's not too bad. but if I was completely new, that would of been SO rough. this tip would of saved me so much money.
Didn't know about the dead crops, that's a great tip thanks! I tried modding the game especially for sprinklers (!) but didn't work, i also downloaded mod program too... I play everyday at 40 mins so even if i don't have anything to do i fish or cut trees, stones etc. , it's only summer 24 or smth and im level 230 XD
I just finished the main quest line for the new underwater city and now have no idea what to do in the game. It's not directing me to any new quest lines. Am i missing something?
I used to adore this game. Spent 400+ hours into it and even bought the DLC to support the devs. Then they censored the women's portraits, didn't pay their translators, allegedly copied assets from other games, and revealed their pro-LGBT words were false and they were actually anti-LGBT in their actions. They lied to their fans only to censor them and will ban their critics across Steam, Discord, and the Subreddit for no reason.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! I'm mainly wanting to buy this game since it seems like a better version of stardew valley, with many things that its missing. i just have one question, though: if you do have multiple spouses do they also date eachother? or is it kind of like a they only have eyes for the player thing?
ig you already know the answer, but for those who will be wondering for now all the dlcs are cosmetics and don't bring anything new to gameplay, so you don't have to buy them for any new experience if you're not really into decorating/aesthetic
the grape tip came in very helpful as i watched one of your previous vids of only planting one to progress on learning mana infuse an having it not work for me
I love sun haven, I wish it would get more popular so the modding community would flourish

Just got into this game. Addicted! It's a slow burn, which is cool. Just need a way to make money consistently.
Thanks for the tips! I think this game is way better than Stardew Valley, which I played about 100 hours of. It just feels 'happier' and chill. Love it!

Nice video and usefull. I do agree, the character which i took my time and made mistakes was my fave play

I love this game it’s much better than stardew
love the hints, started playing today
This video is so helpful to a new player like myself! Are mods available for steam deck players?
Finally tomorrow it's playable on Switch Europe on Dec 16th 24. Can't wait!!!
Didn't know about the dead crops, that's a great tip thanks! I tried modding the game especially for sprinklers (!) but didn't work, i also downloaded mod program too... I got rid of the seasonable pests soooooo fast lmao. Also i made the days to be as long as possible so that i can just chill :3
So can you continue to romance everyone after choosing your favorite to marry? Or is that the cutoff
I used to adore this game. Spent 400+ hours into it and even bought the DLC to support the devs.

you can only have 1 main spouse but you can date everyone else while you also have a spouse :) & everyone only has eyes for the player haha
@@MRIZZY thank you for your quick response!
i started playing sun haven a week ago, and i am having a problem. how do i get a house? because i can't put a bed in the floor😂 pls help
im thinking buying game it is worth it or necessary to buy all dlcs?
I just bought it without any dlcs. Theres so much to discover so i dont think its really necessary so early on
ig you already know the answer, but for those who will be wondering for now all the dlcs are cosmetics and don't bring anything new to gameplay, so you don't have to buy them for any new experience if you're not really into decorating/aesthetic
I feel like even when you make the days as slow as possible they’re still too fast.
el mejor juego 😺
This game is amazing
the grape tip came in very helpful as i watched one of your previous vids of only planting one to progress on learning mana infuse an having it not work for me
