I'd love to see a 200 days on this game! Pretty sure I head about it before but never saw any gameplay for it. The multiple farms seems a bit of a chore to manage daily without an appropriate Teleport spell, though. But the various mechanics showcased in this video really seems neat. Speaking of magical farm sim with a _lot_ to do, I'd love to see some 100 days in Immortal Life, as well. The game's still in Early Access 1 year past its arrival on Steam but it's also rather well fleshed out so far and quite full of content.
@@nintendosega100 nope, you CAN multiplayer, but also just play solo. I play with my BF and even then I take the Nelvari's totem scarecrow to farm on 1 farm, otherwise its too much for me to keep in check (and a bloody bird wont fly past 8pm)
I was thinking of a trick of using the Aqua fertilizer to keep the soil hydrated even if you are gone. For now I fully specced for farming so Grapes so far are the best daily income between the beefy long haul crops.
I bought the game 2 days ago and it’s magical. It‘s like Stardew Valley and HarvestMoon had a baby, that was raised by a fantasy graphic novel. I love it! It‘s so unbelievably charming and deep.
If Stardew Valley is like a spiritual successor to Harvest Moon, this game definitely feels like a spiritual successor to Rune Factory. I, personally, liked the Rune Factory games more than Harvest Moon.
The problem is it performs like ass. Buggy, resource intensive for what it is, long loading times, and the controls are floaty and sluggish. Just like all the games that have been inspired by Stardew Valley's success, it fails to get over the basic quality hump into being a game that isn't miserable to play
@@seigeengine i finished the game and the only bug that i've encountered is that one of those monsters that spawn in your farm refused to leave even after i beat him lol. i keep seeing "extremely buggy" in every review and i just didn't have that experience at all
@@gerutzu575 My first experience trying to play, I couldn't get most of the items to show the tooltips on the character creator section, so I had to guess what they were, then the tooltip stayed open and wouldn't go away as it entered the starting cutscenes, including overlaying the text box. It even kind of seemed like he had a similar issue from this video with the items not all displaying tooltips. I'd excuse that kind of stuff, but the controls, and general performance are inexcusable game-killers. Maybe if I had the game running on an SSD, and I had a beefy gaming rig, the performance issues would be resolved... but that's way too much to ask for such a basic game already... and the controls would still be atrocious.
Really loved playing Sun Haven and enjoyed the video :) Just some tips you might have missed: - You can change the length of the days in the settings to be incredibly long (good feature for my fellow grinders out there) although it kinda defeats the point of the set time limit - Each skill tree level maxes out around 60/70 (you won't get any more levels from exp gains) but this can be overrided by mana/skill tomes - Each romancable character gives you some unique item that can give minor boosts like gold gain or fishing exp after you gain a certain amount of hearts with them (also would love to see you try out the date mechanics because they have interesting cut scenes) - I would repair the cafe in the top right of the map because you can buy cooked items that will give you good consumption gains I think Sun Haven offers a unique twist to the farming sim genre with the amount of extra skills and battle mechanics. Overall, can't wait to see the developers add more to the in-game events. * edit - formatting issues
I caught on regarding the first 3 tips you listed - in fact I almost mentioned all three in the video but cut those bits as I didn't want the vid to bloat too much. And, I will definitely do some dating in the 200 days video. AND as for the fourth tip, I had no idea there was a cafe haha, I'll get onto that. I agree with your assessment, I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely lacks a bit of polish but the core of the game is impressive.

I'd love to see a 200 days upload of this game! All the visuals are so pretty, and I'm loving all of the tasks you're compelled to do because of the benefits they give you. Plus, hearing you talk as you go about your business is really nice.
Probably the single greatest reason why I love watching these: Floydson never gets discouraged. This video is a prime example: over and over, events don't go exactly right. Instead of getting upset, these are seen as opportunities, changes in fortune that just need to be taken and adapted to proper use.
i was recommended this video a bit ago, but wanted to wait until i had played a good amount myself before watching it, so now i finally did! it was really fun seeing how you played, especially since you were on an earlier version than i played. i'd love to see a 200 days from you, though i know it's unlikely since it's been a year already. if you do decide to (or if anyone else wants to play after watching this), in the current version, there's options to turn off most of the seasonal things if you don't like them, and they're all separated, so that you can leave the ones you like/don't mind and get rid of the annoying ones. it was really fun to discover things that i hadn't seen even with all the time i played, and your videos are always entertaining!

It's like Stardew and Sun Haven but with 3D characters instead of pixel art. It looks cheesy at first glance but it has a remarkably deep and complex backstory about living in a world after a technological apocolypse. Anyway love all your videos, can't wait to see more!
I love how everyone independently comes to the same conclusion that the house goes there. The main fancy looking dragon fountain gives max mana every week, just like the moon well, resulting in 9 max mana per week. If you save and quit after 11 PM you'll return home and it'll be rolled back to 11 PM.

Didn't realize there's relatively a lot of new stuff in Sun Haven, stopped playing because of how janky the multiplayer experience was - this video is encouraging me to give it another shot. Had my eyes and ears glued the whole time, always looking forward to your videos!
I wasn't entirely sold on this game until you got to the last town. The first portion of the game seemed charming, if slightly janky, but nothing too special. That last area was really creative though! The whole theme was super cute and they did a lot of interesting things. The rooftop garden concept for a farm was so cool, and fishing in a water tank was a really fun idea. I love the city/carnival vibe with recycling rubbish and playing fair games with ticket currency. The first two areas were much more generic and same-y -- it didn't really feel like there was that much difference between the generic farm and the generic elf farm. The mechanics look really thorough and in-depth with all the skill trees and gear option, and the idea of using food as the stat points is really interesting. I'd never heard of this game before today, but it looks like a solid game. I wonder if there will be some improvements in the future to smooth out the jank a little

I couldn't care less about this game but I've been binging your 100 and 200 days of videos and I absolutely love them. Your little giggles and chuckles when you find stuff or get confused always get me. The editing and commentary is so good it makes all the videos so damn pleasant and funny.
I finally finished watching it and i have some tips for 200 days! 1. As been pointed out yo can change the length of the day in settings if needed 2. On the same tab you can make it so the game will pause while in dialogue 3. I believe if you talk to a museum guy he will give you more rewards (not sure about that but i've been getting my rewards this way)
This game kinda feels like a far more complex version of stardew valley... of corse it isn't like stardew valley cuz of all the extra content, but those where the vibes I got from this video lol. Either way, great video and I can't wait for the next one!

Some notes for if you come back to this 100 days to try to beat the game in the 100 days, or someone else wants to try. Heavy stone can be mined in the overworld quarry that is found just right of the mine. Trees in the wilderness respawn after a few days, and you can be lucky enough to get a seed for the mana tree on day one. all the seasonal bosses, like weedil, can be fought solo, or by doing a small quest to have the towns people take care of your problem. Krusty the rock takes several days, however. Leafie's Leafs are cheap early game fertilizer. Crossbows and magic go over and through terrain and walls. Think, Starwars high ground.
It was really confusing for my wife playing Sun Haven for the first time, since she named her character Lynn before finding out there was someone already in the game with the same name.
love the game attempting to motivate floydson to do the miniboss minigames given they're a very unique component of the game and him just getting mad at having to watch it pan over to the enemy every morning

Remember to check the bosses that come to the top of the farm, like the weed and rock dudes! They are indeed bosses and can be defeated for rewards with some minigames and help from the villagers.

i'm glad you made a video on sun haven, i really loved this game and i feel like it's not getting the recognition it deserves. at first i thought it's just gonna be another stardew clone but i ended up liking it way more than stardew. graphics remind me of those old browser MMOs i used to play as a kid, and the gameplay just feels really chill, it doesn't make me feel like i should follow a meta otherways im fucking up, which is what stardew made me feel most of the time... Also the option to choose how many minutes an in game day lasts is amazing. i never thought i needed that but it made a huge difference

you don’t lose progress in Sun Haven when you exit out. So if you are struggling getting home in time when you are exploring, you can exit and reopen the game without losing progress and respawn in your house. not sure if you were aware and didn’t want to “cheese” or not but thought it’d be worth a mention just in case.
Idk if you'd like it very much or not but there's a new-ish card game/strategy/city builder called Stacklands. You stack different cards on top of each other to make them do or craft specific things and your end goal is to defeat a demon lord/demon king thing and a few other smaller bosses to quote "beat the game" though to my knowledge there's no real end to it unless you lose all your villagers by starving them or letting them die to a monster/animal encounter.

There's an option in the game to craft the regions/city's scarecrow making it possible to farm all regional crops on 1 farm. It really helps!
I believe the game is multiplayer so perhaps the intent was that you work alongside others to manage these farms?

love the game attempting to motivate floydson to do the miniboss minigames given they're a very unique component of the game and him just getting mad at having to watch it pan over to the enemy every morning
He also thinks they are indestructible without even trying to kill it....

Remember to check the bosses that come to the top of the farm, like the weed and rock dudes! They are indeed bosses and can be defeated for rewards with some minigames and help from the villagers.

i'm glad you made a video on sun haven, i really loved this game and i feel like it's not getting the recognition it deserves. at first i thought it's just gonna be another stardew clone but i ended up liking it way more than stardew. graphics remind me of those old browser MMOs i used to play as a kid, and the gameplay just feels really chill, it doesn't make me feel like i should follow a meta otherways im fucking up, which is what stardew made me feel most of the time...
Also the option to choose how many minutes an in game day lasts is amazing. i never thought i needed that but it made a huge difference

you don’t lose progress in Sun Haven when you exit out. So if you are struggling getting home in time when you are exploring, you can exit and reopen the game without losing progress and respawn in your house. not sure if you were aware and didn’t want to “cheese” or not but thought it’d be worth a mention just in case.

Rings that give you morning wood ftw! This game seems pretty fun, but I liked Graveyard Keeper too, so I may be biased.
Idk if you'd like it very much or not but there's a new-ish card game/strategy/city builder called Stacklands. You stack different cards on top of each other to make them do or craft specific things and your end goal is to defeat a demon lord/demon king thing and a few other smaller bosses to quote "beat the game" though to my knowledge there's no real end to it unless you lose all your villagers by starving them or letting them die to a monster/animal encounter.
