    Hi, thanks for this great review, please tell us Leo bord, foil and his weight. Thx!

    • @hoppline
      @hoppline  23 дні тому +1

      Leo is on a custom build he shaped from an old windsurfer, so hard to tell how much volume the board has. He is 95 kg and I think he was on a Fanatic Aero Carve 1400. He later said the foil was mounted a little to far back and he could have been going even earlier with a better balance but he was REALLY pleased with the LITEFORCE.

    You refer to 5-6 knots. Do you measure the wind at the ocean/river level or is that based on a meter reading higher up from the ground?

    • @hoppline
      @hoppline  24 дні тому

      Hey, we have a wind measuring system on the yacht club right on the spot which is a little above water level of the river. Unfortunately this does not always translate to the actual wind right on the water. We did some measurements on our own right at the spot entry and my calculation of 5-6 knots is based my experience from those tests in combination with the reading from the yacht club. For the video I also looked at the readings from MeteoGroup Nederland BV and they are more or less matched my calculation. So from all this and more than 25 years of surfing background I think all numbers mentioned in the video should more or less reflect the real wind. The Ozone Lite Force really allowed me to get up very early and stay up in the slightest breeze, but I guess with this setup I would be able to get up with no wind at all (-:

      @@hopplinereason for the comment is that people obviously measure wind speed differently. 10 meters up in the air is not the same as at 1.5 meters. Not sure if there is a standard but for winging the sea level measurement makes obviously more sense. you ask a kiter and they have a higher altitude benchmark, supposedly more stable not sure.

      @@rmoisio YEAP !! Totally agree! I was trying to refer to the wind right on the water. Good point!
