YEAP, they are awesome. Smaller is not always better, something I had to learn for myself. I am in Thailand right now and will be at the SUNOVA factory tomorrow. So much looking forward to this
@@berci1001 🙏 THANKS! Always happy to get good feedback!!! Do you have a certain type of music in mind? Finding the "right" tunes is always a tuff one for me!
@ I know music taste can vary. But something more happy, fun sounding as foiling is. This tune was a bit sad, nerving, repetitive. But again. Great stuff. Enjoyed the entire video. Interesting topic, well presented. Keep the videos coming!
Hey, I have tried most of them. They work super sweet, the only thing I was struggling a little with was how slippery the top coat is. Not sure if it was just because they were brand new and still had some sort of production left overs on them (maybe oil from the mold). But I am sure this will get better over time. There's a few clips of me riding on the AXIS boards in this video: ua-cam.com/video/OE1c0YlWnRA/v-deo.htmlsi=dVdD5KctI1kMFgz6
I've been thinking about that 19 L wake foil board for winter flat water pumping, is the enough distance before the spine/ concave kicks in? I've got a 4'6" flying fish and the spine is to close to the tracks, it would be pushing the nose cone of the max away from the board.
Hey Grant, yeap, unfortunately the spin is going pretty far back. With the Slim and the short cone there was a tiny gap on each side. Not much and nothing to worry about. I moved the Foil Drive all the way back, so using the longer cone might be a problem. Have not tried this yet.
How is the 4' high roller for distance between the spine and track? I do have an 11 liter slingshot travel craft V1 it would be good for dock start but not FD..I'm way too old to dock start
@@granthore90 4'0'' is okay on both, the longer and the shorter cone. The Spine does go all the way down to the cone, especially the longer one, but not a big problem. Did not use any of the foam pads that come with the Foil Drive set and close an eventual gap.
Sorry for the late reply. I am traveling in Thailand right now and don't have much internet. Usually I use the Foil Drive for getting up on small boards and small front wings to catch some tanker waves. My go to set up right now is a Razor 875 or Razor 775 and they don't pump very well in the flat. Using a Leviathan Pro 1360 paired with the Foil Drive I can pump for roughly 3 minutes but this is not something I have practice a lot. The 1360 is actually the first front wing that is playful enough to maybe spent some more time to get into endurance pumping. I use a 15cm cable mainly on the Foil Drive and once I am up there really not much of a difference (on the SLIM)
Sir - Can you please share your heigh/weight? - I'm interested if that makes a difference? I'm sup foiled for a couple years but want to pick up the foil drive - so while I'm not new to foiling, am new to foildriving.
Well said, great video! -Tucker
THANKS !!
Awesome video, so good to hear your trials
@@mattstockton2433 Thanks 🙏
Can’t wait to see the WFB. Looks like it will work
Spoiler: It did ... and a lot better than I thought it would !!!
I have a 4' 11" Sonova board and love it. I probably could have gone to the 4' 8". I use mine for tanker waves, downwinding and pumping.

Great content, sophisticated video, made with a lot of effort - but if you could change the music - that would upgrade it even more.

Great review! Have you tried the Axis foil drive board? or is it too big for your needs?

Just curious, how long can you pump on flat on your favorite FD board?
