      @@devonwhite2443 Yes. This scene confused me for years, until I looked at a UA-cam clip in slow-mo. Larry shoots Joe, then quickly turns the gun toward Eddie and they both exchange shots.

      From our POV it seems as if they're standing further apart, but from Mr. White's POV they were pretty close.
      He knew he was done for but still moved his arm to try to hit Eddie.
      Watch in 0.25 speed to see.

    Love the film and obviously the acting and directing but there is zero chance Joe shows up there after the job goes wrong. No way he's putting himself in any kind of situation where he could be caught after knowing that someone set them up and put himself in danger of getting shot in this situation.

    • @_ArsNova
      @_ArsNova Рік тому +20

      Debatable. Joe had his best men on this job, guys he'd known for a long time. More to the point, we as the audience are kept so in the dark about a lot of things that we don't really know what Joe would or wouldn't do. It's part of the excitement of the film.

    • @robcalvert8830
      @robcalvert8830 Рік тому +9

      @arsnova1321 Given his insistence on the need for the "Mr" and absolutely no personal info to be shared I think it demonstrates his personality and cautiousness. From an audience perspective of course it works better with him going there, I just don't think he'd go to the rendezvous place knowing that the job has been compromised.

    Quentin comes up with some weird stories that still bring out top acting chops from all the actors. It would honestly be cool to see some of his movies adapted for the stage, especially since most happen in mostly just one scene anyway.

      Michael Fassbender, while training in Ireland, actually adapted Reservoir Dogs for the stage. As part of its marketing he’d dress as Mr. White and hold up cars in traffic with a pistol before throwing stacks of flyers onto the bonnett.
